Food prices in the US are outrageous. There are certainly good places, but in general you find significantly better value for cost in just about every other country.
They’re not really making a bagel but the bread product they do make that resembles a bagel is perfect for sandwiches which is why they’re so popular right now.
Bagels should be rolled out and then pinched together to seal the ends. This store just presses a hole through the middle. Any classic bagel place will do the rollout and seal method.
You can if you get the bagels at a bagel place for like $1.25 each. You can’t get good ones at a grocery store, and you’d need to buy the lox which is like $35-40/pound. That’s the part that makes it expensive.
They look ok, but are they the perfect crisp and chew and flavor? Skeptical if they pile on all those toppings. It’s about the bread, often disappointing
