Once you're quoting the bible, and are christian or Muslim, you're not true African. Being born on the continent is not enough.
Models should have something in their contracts that states the get paid in 30days. 90 days is usually for goods not for services. Also I hear a lot of models dont know what the client actually paid and it is up to the agency to let them know. This should not be happening. Models need better lawyers to write up their contracts.
Vincent Maciejewski brother..... it’s really astonishing how this still happens in this century. It’s usually a 90 day time frame. I think it’s very important to know from agencies before even signing a contract there payments criteria. Some agencies put models in a place where if a client does not ever pay ....then there is nothing they can about it .It’s sickening sometimes.

You're quite grounded. Some of the b.s. may shake you up but will not bowl you over. It all goes back to family. You were raised with a spirit of cooperation and community. Modeling is replete with competition. Polar opposites. Good life lesson, nonetheless. What's most impressive is that this video was made a couple years ago. We just became acquainted with you recently and whatever you've dealt with as a model seems to have made you even more solid as an individual. It's refreshing as opposed to hearing about the prima donnas and meltdowns modeling is wrought with. Of course we've seen you in fashion magazines, still it's nice to get to know the person outside the spotlight

I had a friend who was a model, she was beautiful like a young Brooke Shields. BUT... She said to me all of the things you have just said.
My young daughter wanted to model but my friend told me how bad that industry is. Her biggest complaint was the way it made her feel about herself - just as you said.
You go to a call and there are 20 other beautiful models trying to get the job. So that even though the world sees you as beautiful, you become unable to see yourself that way. You have to be a highly confident person to survive (emotionally) in that atmosphere.

WOW! I am so glad to hear someone standing up against the crimes committed against models, who are frequently under the age of 18 and being told they should hang out naked in front of men. A person who isnt willing to be nude should be respected just as much as someone who is OK with it. But also... a lot of models are minors! And they still do it! You may be rejected just because your stronger than they're looking for. Sometimes rejection is a blessing. All the people posing in Belinciaga had to pretend they weren't associated. Sometimes that brand goes off the rails and alienates a lot of people, so rejection can be very good. God opens doors, and closes doors for a reason.

I think the psychosocial stress level in modelling is one of the highest ever. One needs strong stressor mitigators to cope with the effect of such stress level.
On another note, I've discovered your channel without knowing you've been a model and I so how beautiful you look during your time in the village. I told myself she could model if she wanted to. I guess my gut feeling was spot on 😁.

This comment goes to the "Your mother tongue is as great as English ….Just Chill" video, very insightful. My mother tongue is Portuguese and i loooooooove my native language. I love English too, and to me all languages in the world have their own beauty.
Unfortunatelly I've seen people living in the U.K. whose English is their second language that denies their own roots, their own native language, so that they can feel accepted in the society, so that they can turn a blind eye to the prejudices that are clearly present.
I am Brazilian and I am so proud of my roots, I love my origins and I couldn't see myself being born in any other country in the world.
And to be honest i think most Brazilians are unfair when they speak about their own country.

Is it possible to get a lawyer so that your contracts with clients are taken seriously? I believe they know they're taking advantage of you because you are not represented. Let your lawyer get a commission of fees

You can start a modeling career at any age
You will need to be at the right place, with the right people and the right time. Age is just a number .If u r a model , ur features and so come first not the age and the agencies will see that first and not your age . I have a model I know who could signed at 30 something and she is booking every job now

I like your African accent that is smoother than others'. I always uncomfortable to watch models in outfits that is very little to cover their bodies. I feel bad for them. If I am in the field as a model, I would suffer and probably give up to be a model since this world's fashion industry is so wicked and dark. I am admiring you to be a good example, as a Christian model by keeping the dignity and your faith value in your job field which is very precious. Bless your heart. Keep up your good work. I know that you can't survive there if you are there for success in the world, but you are there for God's special calling to reach out people with the gospel. When you know why you are there, I am sure that you can have peace and enjoy your job even though you don't make much money or fame like what others chase after. I would like to see how God uses you unlimited way. I like your shorts. They are awesome. They speak special way. I think that God brings souls to you thru your videos. This is not even just modeling, this is really any occupation in the USA, almost everyone you meet will try to take advantage of you and not pay you.
Not really , most jobs pay either weekly or bi weekly. I have never heard of anyone ever who had to wait that long to get paid.

I am a freelance model and I am so mad today and just need to vent, WTF is wrong with photographers and brand asking for higher levels when I am extremely clear I only do fashion, commercial and bridal?!!!! I am so mad, disgusting people, seriously disgusting! My boundaries that there for a reason, hello? I am just grossed out, explicit modeling is just porn,not modeling to me sorry.
