Hi,miss lucy I am 15 years old my name is Aditya I am from India. By watching this video I Improved my pronounciation and level of english B1 to B2. Cheers! for your wonderful video and god bless you and he will definitely open his eyes and give you a big reward🎉.
I'm a native English speaker and 2:00 - 3:30 was so helpful. I remember learning these terms, like "perfect" involves "have", but having this complete table with a clear but succinct description of each was great. Now that I'm more seriously trying to learn other languages, I realise how much I didn't learn or failed to remember the terminology of English grammar in school. This is now making learning "tenses" in other languages much more difficult for me. One question, is "progressive" the same thing as "continuous"? I recall using "present progressive" for "I am doing..."
I watched without cc how I feel pleasure to hear your voice! And how beautiful is British english! I really appreciate your teaching videos and wish you very long live with your family Lucy ❤
At 7:43, I think "will you pass me the salt" is not future simple, it should be present. The word "will" in here is not saying someone is going to do something, it is saying whether they have intent to do something
this question related to Subordinate Clauses . Sir please pay attention to the question, the example is just to understand the question Maybe example is not meaningful Question:----) In dependent clause Has the meaning of "there" been changing? like this sentence which is As:-- There is my friend. In the realm of time's poetic dance, Present Simple sets truths in lasting stance. While Present Continuous weaves its art, A moment's embrace, a fleeting heart. Past Simple, memories etched in rhyme, Tales of yesteryears, echoes of time. Past Continuous, a vivid trace, As life's tapestry unfolds its grace. Hello! First time that I watch your video. I have problems writing English. But I hope, I can learn from you! You sound confident when speaking English. You have a perfect voice to understand easily. Thanks for sharing your lessons.
English is a great language by the way. And yeah Lucy is perhaps the most skilled British English teacher on this planet Earth. Welcome to English With Lucy. 😊😊
Thanks so much, Lucy! 😉 Every time you start your lessons with the phrase "Hello lovely students", I always automatically answer to you "Hello lovely Teacher Lucy!"🥰🥰🥰
Dear Lucy, could you please explain why you use "never" in present simple? Why do you say: I NEVER see her in yoga classes these days? Can we use never in present simple? How to use it correctly?
This is one of the most exhilarating day that I have ever had. I had been going about diverse daily activities when I received a notification by Lucy!. In that moment, I didn't really know what to expect meanwhile I was screaming with joy. I had a similar situation like that no later than yesterday when I watched Anna's wonderful last podcast about the metamorphosis of caterpillars into butterflies. I have a mix of feelings now. I am thinking about before, I have been working and practising my English so hard and I realise I've come a long way and I probably master all the twelve English tenses by now, which I am attempting to demonstrate here with that comment. Next month I will have been totally immersing myself into the English language for 3 years, almost losing connexion with my own language and this is perhaps the most weird fact and experience that I have ever had. Now, what I want is talk and exchange with English speaking friends from all the world about that moment, so, I think I will travel a bit and will go to visit the UK first. Tomorrow I will be planning my route and hopefully some day I will come across Lucy or Sabrah or Anna so that I can tell them face to face all my gratitude! I will close this comment with the hope that for the future I will not have lived this for nothing and will have the opportunity to share more of my thoughts with some good English speaking friends. Wonderful lesson, lucy, so clear and brilliantly summarized. Thank you so much! 🙏😊 I hope I did well and didn't forget one ;-) ❤

Simple Present Tense:- It shows present habitual action, daily routine action , universal truth, eternal truth and planed future action that is called Simple Present Tense.
Focusing on the past tense is crucial and can be a great way to start your language learning journey. It enables you to talk about your experiences, which is essential in daily communication. By mastering the conjugations and usage of the past tense, you will be well-prepared to communicate effectively and participate in a variety of conversations.

It's sad that healthy children usually end up in that outdated Rockefeller education system whose main purpose is to degrade human beings to have a mass of obedient people who have no personality.
With number 2 in the present simple, there is an example with can"t: I can't BAKE...- though the verb BAKE is in simple form (apparently like the verb form in present simple) but CAN is used here, so in grammar books this example is for modal verb CAN (in this case, CAN is used to talk about ability). MODAL VERBS, in grammar books, is a seperate chapter in which we learn how to use CAN, COULD, MAY, MIGHT, etc. I wonder why you put that example here in present simple tense.
In the same example, the verb "look" and in number 5 in the same section, you use the imperative clause, so is it really the simple present; in addition, you use different forms of question tags: "Stay calm, will you?" or "Tell him the truth, can you?".
@@MrWansonje I'm sorry but in any English grammar books, the example "I can't bake to save my life - look at this cake!" is never listed as an example in Present Simple Tense section. Instead, It is listed in Modal Verbs and Imperatives Sections.
Thank you. As a native English-speaking grammar dunce, I think I would have found your explanation more useful if your examples utilised a more obviously restricted range of verbs and situations; thus, we could compare the various forms of the same verb in the four main tenses.
