  • !!!VOLUME WARNING!!!
    Update: As of 11/2/18, the TrueAlerts may not be operable due to a recent flood that damaged the area.
    It was time for another monthly fire drill at the high school today. For everyone that has been asking me to film the TrueAlerts, here you go. They're set to do Code 3 and they are loud as heck (much louder than the 4903's). At one point in the video, one of the 4903's nearly maxed out the mic on my phone. Either way, it was a good drill.
    *Hope you enjoyed our little commentary.*
    Any questions feel free to ask.

    My high school used to have wheelock ehs-dl1, spectralert advance, wheelock zns, and some bells I only saw from a distance. I was so excited for high school in middle school, but right when I got to high school, the school got renovated and changed to voice evac :(

      Sadly from what I heard, a few of the 4903s are being replaced. However, they're being reused. When the time comes I will attempt to save at least half of the system. Preferably the mechanical horns. Speaking of bells there is a Simplex 4080 bell on campus. Not sure if it's being used.

      @@FireRescue80 what are the alarms which are replacing them.

    • @FireRescue80
      @FireRescue80  3 года назад

      Simplex TrueAlerts. I've only seen a few pop up. However, the replacement is probably going to be speaker strobes. Don't take my words though.

      @@FireRescue80 It's sad to hear that schools require voice evac now. Any new schools or school renovations require the system to have voice evac. Have you found anything else new about your high school? I would guess it got replaced with Simplex Truealert ES Addressable Voice Evac.

      The only major change that I found was that they redid a small portion of a hallway and made it into a STEM room. The alarms in the room are now surface mounted and wire molded. They use to be flush mounted.

    this is the strange that the 4903's are on march time while the truealerts do code 3

    • @FireRescue80
      @FireRescue80  6 лет назад

      That's because the 4903's and the TrueAlerts are hooked up to 2 different annunciators. One set to March Time and another set to Code 3.

      It all depends on how big the system is. They also want to make sure that everybody has evacuated. So it takes a bit of time.

      @zachconner6792 6 лет назад +1
