Until I started watching these videos I couldn't imagine anything this beautiful being made from scraps
Thank You James, funny how that happens
@@PohlBarnProductions you're welcome sir
Very cool, creative project. I really enjoyed watching the process from beginning to end and the finished product is amazing and beautiful. You are a true craftsman. Also, the music made me want to stick a screwdriver into my one good ear.
Don't do that, just turn it down, one of my older videos when I was first learning how to edit and all, Glad you like the bowl, sorry about the music.
Coolest scrap brown I’ve seen. I’m making one now with paduke, walnut, Purple Heart, maple, cherry and oak scraps
I know that was probably really easy for you to do but I find it absolutely fascinating to watch mate. Love true craftsmanship like that! Great work.
Thank You Kevin Glad you enjoyed it
this is so beautiful! I love scrap bowls. Please do more!
Thank You Tanya, I was just talking about doing one with my wife, it's been awhile since I've done one
I understand that you’ve shot the person who chose the music...good. Beautiful bowl.
Thank You Christopher. LOL Learning curve buddy learning curve, I just had to figure out what direction I wanted to go with my channel.
All the colors are beautiful. Great job.
Thank you so much!
How amazing that you turned scraps of wood into such a beautiful thing. 👍
Beautiful bowl but that “music” has to go. Rather when you talk.
Thank You Damon, I was still trying to figure out what direction to go with my channel back then
@@PohlBarnProductions I liked the music, and the project even more. 😍
Music is 🤮
Too much of that awful music! Great bowl.
Great bowl. Never woulda thunk of putting the antlers in like that. Now I will.
Thank You Wes.
Nice work! First bowl I liked built this way ! Good job not wasting expensive resin ! 👍💪👏
Thank You Bradley
Another scrap wood masterpiece 😊
Thanks again Rod
Really enjoyed “Wathing” this.
are you picking on me for my lisp ? lol I can't change that oops on the RUclips side, I made that mistake while editing it and never caught it, I loose the views if I take it down so I just take the badgering about it. lol Thanks for Wathing !
That bowl “turned” out great! Love the idea of recycling scraps!
Thank you
You can imagine these projects at the start, but the end surpasses that imagination.
Thank you Ivan, you can start off with an Idea and it ends up being what it wants to be. that's what makes this so fun.
I think this one is my favorite peace I've seen you do 👍👍
Thank you Steve
From trash to treasure! Nice!
Thank You Philip
Wow beautiful bowl made of wood scrap
Thank you very much
Thanks for posting. I get so much inspiration from your projects. The abstract nature of this bowl is Awesome.
Thank You
Nice job, turned better then I thought it would. I really wasn't on board with the level of epoxy you poured, but it turned out pretty rad. Again, nice job man.... keep up the good work👍👍
Loved the way all the way the different pieces of wood came together. Beautiful work. Great bowl.
Thank you very much Mondo !
again, beautiful bowl.
Thank You lisa
One of the prettiest bowls I’ve seen you make
Thank You Barbara
Brilliant color choice for that bowl. Really turned out gorgeous.
Thank you Ward
Good evening Doug,
I don't know why I haven't seen this video before but this piece turned out beautiful from a bunch of scraps. Nice job Doug.
Thank you David, yeah this video has all of a sudden taken off again.
Really really nice work Paul well done
Thank You Keith
Just beautiful. Thanks for sharing
Thank You Ronaldo
1:48 SPONGE BOB!!! That looks SO COOL...a great way to use waste and profit...and to reuse. That red wood really makes it POP! What is that? I love that turquoise looking thing in there. Wow..super cool piece.
Is the bottom pecan wood?
Thanks again Morgan, I am not sure what the spalted bottom was, I think it's maple but not sure, pecan isn't something I have available very often to turn
@@PohlBarnProductions It was beautiful, whatever it was. Gorgeous bowl...I think it was your best work yet.
A beautiful result... love it.
Thank you Ronald ! 😊
When I first saw how the block of wood looked in the bottom of the resin, I didn't think I'd like it. However, when your turned it until the corners were curved up on the bottom, and then it became the wood center on the inside - I definitely became a fan. I continue to enjoy your work, and the music is fine.
Thank You Thank You Margret, I have removed the music for the most part now a days.
I was wondering how in the world all that resin wouldn't look tacky after it was carved. I'm blown away by the final results. If he showed me before and after pictures of each item, I'd be having a very hard time believing each one is same item unless I saw the videos!
I just love it!!!!!!!!
Love this bowl it's purdy
Thank you Mike
Bits of wood covered in resin can produce such a awesome bowl
it's fun too, You just don't know what you'll end up with. Thanks for watching
More details for beginners will be highly appreciated
Thank You
Very pretty and unusual bowl. Some lovely colours coming through.
Thank You Thank You
Wow that’s gorgeous! Great job!
You make great stuff!
Thank You Scott, I appreciate that!
Stunning! Love the antler inclusions!!
Fantastic
Thank you Tommy
Another awesome piece!
Thank You. you're going the wrong way, I don't get better going that way ! LOL
I'm just watching all of them and not paying attention to the date. LOL Also, the music was fine, if people don't like the music, they can turn down the volume, right?
@@PohlBarnProductions
NAH it's much faster to type a nasty comment than it is to turn down the volume ! LOL
Very unique look! I think I know where my old pen making scraps are going :)
Thank You Paul, those work too, I've done it
I really like how the antlers look in the bowl. Really nice job!
Thank you Jane

Looks great, very nice job!

I wish I had someone like you to learn from, but out here in west Texas there aren’t many people who even know what a lathe is, much less give advice on one.
Billy Burt is in Texas, ruclips.net/channel/UCk6YGwd7-29L_XAlUd_pzIA, I'm sure there is some kind of Guild for woodworking or woodturning there some place, I didn't even know they existed here until recently.
Ridiculous beautiful
Thank You William
That's pretty sick!!
Thank You...Chris
@@PohlBarnProductions and Thank You. Keep em coming... thoroughly enjoy watching👍
Stunning

Lovely!
Thank You
Jeez that looks artistic. Im going to give this a shot right now!
Thank You Lance, it's really easy just throw it all in there, fill it with resin and turn it. good luck I'm sure you can do it
Wow that's pretty!
Thank You Tammy
The repeating music made me almost evacuate my bowels on my dog
Thank You Bryan, LOL you might want to get that checked out.
Absolutely gorgeous!
Thanks Again
Loving the colors! 👍👍👍
Beautiful. the music is very aggravating.
Thank You Jim, yeah I know... rookie mistakes !
Rings are easy to find . They don't have to be perfect , just semi round and natural. Don't you think?
I suppose you are right, I also think they could be turned easy enough. I'll have to ponder this one for a lil bit, Thanks again
Doug
Perfect
Absolutely beautiful, another masterpiece.
Thank you
Stunning design & colors. Good video editing also.
Thank you !
Really awesome like your all videos..
good job sir...
Love ❤❤❤❤ from India🇮🇳🇮🇳...
Thank You
I really like this ! Great use of resin
Thank You
Fantastic work! Tank you for this inspiring video!
Thank you
Just beautiful!
That’s a lot of work for a tiny bowl. Looks very nice at the end. Maybe make a whole set of plates and glasses for a fancy dinner? Maybe use different woods for the base/bottom too?
it was fun and a good way to use up left over pieces of wood, I have made may in different ways, they sell fast, the wood in the bottom of this one was because the resin I was using was for counter tops and didn't harden as well as other brands and would warp while turning. wrong resin I know but I was first starting out and that is what I could find at the time. Thanks for watching.
Simply Beautiful !! Well done !
Thank You Joeseph
@@PohlBarnProductions I have never turned in my 60 years. But your videos sure makes me want to give it a try. Keep up the great work :)
What a beautiful use of scraps, I am new to turning so found this very inspirational. Thank you buddy. 👊👊👊
I was new to turning, filming and editing when I produced this video, I really hadn't intended on the world watching anything I was doing. LOL family at best, I hadn't intended on talking either, I probably should have, the resin I used in this project isn't intended for this purpose and doesn't cure hard enough for turning, yes you can do it but it warps and make it difficult to keep true, if you decide to try this get a resin designed for this purpose, I now use Alumilie slow set(that need a pressure pot) and or resin4art (found this one is good all around with or without pressure but it is pricey)and there are other out there, but this makes life so much easier, good luck with your turning, I'm glad you liked the video.
That's beautiful!!! I love it......❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nice work... this being one of the most beautiful!
Thank you Jussi
I wathed it twice.
The 2nd time, I mooted it.
J/K - looks great 👍
lol sorry I was new to editing at that point !
You can wath it again andth againth!
Clever way of using old wood
Looking good your work and a Nice music👍
man you do breathing work man you do some really really good to work you put your heart into it keep it up man God bless you brother
Thank You Alvin
Amazing
Thank You
Beautiful 👏👏👏
My favorite one so far. They all are awesome but this one is cool as shit
Fantastic piece wow.
Very nice
Awesome idea. Wasn't thinking it would look like much but it's beautiful.
And I wonder if to do the same, but the petals(rose, sunflower, daisies)with elements of wood?
Some of the scraps on the right side as you poured the resin looked like bones..... 😨😱😲
Deer Antlers. yeah I suppose they are bones
Awesome..... High skill
Thank You
Bravo!
Thank You Thank You
Peça maravilhosa, pena que não tem como a gente comprar. Parabéns, vc é 10

Thank you,
Ótimo trabalho 💯 por cento 👏👏👏👏
Thank You Valneide
Sooo beautiful!👍💯
Thank You!
Nicely done!
Amazing! Trash to treasure!
One of the better epoxy wood bowls I've seen. I love it! Why the pressure pot?
Thank you Traci. the pressure pot compresses air bubbles that were mixed in and it also helps control the exothermic reaction of the resin.
@@PohlBarnProductions thanks for the response.
Without waste production? And then you have the smaller the fragments, too, just to pour the resin(and there cones, shells(from nuts))))
Another one where I wondered "what is he thinking?" but as always, it ended up being a beautiful object!
Thank you Mary, the beauty of it is, the less you think the better it comes out. Just do it and don't think about it.
Hola buenas. Quisiera saber que proceso se le hace cuando se lo pone en ese contenedor que le ponen aire para q se seque? Disculpen mi ignorancia
Very nice bowl, I especially like how the darkened pattern on the bottom plank turned out. The only thing looking somewhat wrong (for me!😉) is that bottom is rectangular - somehow it's turning attention to it in a bad way🤔... But it's me😊
Very cool looking scrap bowl.
