Adventure Guides at Presidio Tunnel Tops: A Day in the Life

The Adventure Guide program will help in supporting and welcoming audiences that come to explore the Presidio Tunnel Tops. The Presidio Tunnel Tops have an outdoor space called the Outpost and it has multiple ways for youth to interact physically through play and exploration. There is also an indoor space known as the Field Station where youth will use all their senses to uncover human and natural history of the Presidio through fun and interactive activities. The role of Adventure Guides is to connect youth to the Outpost and the Field Station so that our young community members can create memories and be curious to come back to the parks and explore more. The Adventure Guides are an important part of creating welcoming spaces for audiences that are at the parks for the first time or regular visitors. This program is very community oriented and everyone involved must be interested in serving and growing the community presence in the parks.
