Oh my , your Italy vlogs are amazing. The editing is fantastic , I m so jealous . The Trevi fountain is on my bucket list. Can’t wait for the Japan trip vlogs , blessings Sarah
That little secret garden was such a lovely hidden gem! 😍Also SO weird about the toilets! 😅 Bit of a late heads up as you're there already but the toilets in Japan tend to not have any hand towels/dryers so be sure to bring some tissues or a hanky!
Hey Catherine, lovely video and you have such good vibes! I see there are lots of cute stores dotted around the piazza and streets. Do they only open in the weekends? We are planning to go on a weekday (3 days 2 nights) and worry that there won't be much to do as it's quiet.
Seat-free toilets are seen as more hygienic because strangers aren't sharing the same toilet seat. Toilet seats are also often broken by patrons and are expensive and difficult to replace and it's just easy maintenance apparently. Great vlog
No idea about the toilet seat thing, but I have found it to be the same in a lot of the places I visited in central and South America, as well as in parts of South Africa. At least they seem to have toilet paper with theirs. Many of the places I went to that were lacking seats also didn’t have toilet paper either. (And if they did, they charged you for it in addition to charging you just to use the restroom.) From what I have read, the bathroom situation in Japan is a lot more pleasant, so it will be fun to see the difference in your Japan vlogs. Safe travels!
@@catherinekayy I actually have Japanese toilet seats with the bidets, heated seats, fans, lights, etc. in both of the bathrooms in my house. They have been absolutely life changing! The last time I was in the hospital, my nurse asked me what I was looking forward to the most when I went home. Most people might say something like "spending time with my family" or "sleeping in my own bed." Not me. I was most looking forward to being able to use my own toilet, because three days of a hard, cold seat and rough toilet tissue is like torture after you are used to a heated seat and warm water rinses. Lol
@@patriciahamel5674not only do I want a Japanese toilet I want a Japanese soaking tub! Had one in a hotel once. I would rather sit in water up to my neck than lay in shallow water! So warm
The toilet seat situation is sometimes found in places that have a high volume of foreign tourists. They remove the seat so it’s not broken when people try to use it like a squat toilet. The same problem happens in some places in the UK but we generally leave the seat on and pop a polite note asking not to stand on the toilet and squat!😅
Toilet seat, they lost a lot of people to covid in Italy. They took them all off easier to keep clean. I f you remember Bozzo told us not to share toilets with others
a Pisa è tutto inclinato, la torre famosa nel mondo, ma anche la cattedrale e il battistero, così come altri campanili in Pisa. E' un problema che deriva dal terreno particolare che c'è in quella zona.
Wow…that trailing rose with the brick wall would make such a beautiful painting! Such a beautiful video - thanks again Catherine for taking me along😀
It really was beautiful! I loved it heheh thank you so much for watching ❤❤❤❤

We’ve just been through the Italian lakes district and the toilets are the same 🤷🏽♀️ better for the cleaner I guess.
I wonder why it became a thing 😂❤ I suppose it is easier to clean! ❤
