    Just walked out of a Harley dealer today asking about a street glide, the finance guy brought me a price on a street glide standard at 28,000 and when I called him out on the markup he started claiming things about the radio not being included and seat etc. I told him there was no need to waste anymore time and I was leaving then he started saying we could talk at msrp but had no intention of starting there. Also their website had a 2500 trade in bonus on new models from harley and they still low balled me on my trade by a thousand less. I’ve lost all hope for any Harley dealership because this is all over the place. Plus this guys attitude when I questioned him was so bad he started smarting off and asking for more than he could handle. Terrible experience and I don’t plan on doing that ever again.

  • @iiFuture

    Walked into a Harley dealership to find my first Harley and left with nothing. There wasn’t any prices on the bikes and every time I asked about a specific bike they said they had to do the paperwork to get the price. It’s all a scam to get an idea of what your willing to spend and then they pull a number out of their ass.

      That's the same tactic Orlando HD did to me. I was forced to do a credit application to see their price. Then they jack up their prices. Bunch of scamming devils.

      @2WheeledShenanigan-gs7cl 6 месяцев назад +3

      The same here, yesterday I was with my friend who is looking at getting a bagger and they didn't have any prices at all on any of their bikes. They kept wanting to get him out on a test ride but we didn't bring any gear and said that they could provide the helmet, my friend even talked a little bit about their financing terms etc... and he was totally vague about it, couldn't really tell you interest rates at all just that it varies with your credit and then something about a balloon payment at the end to which you could buy it outright, trade up for another new bike or just hand it back in to them, he didn't say anything about a lease but that's what it sounded exactly like to me and you don't own the bike but more or less paying for the privilege to ride it.
      I don't really understand it but he was saying the 2024 models are cheaper than the 2023 and currently there aren't really any incentives for purchasing the older models. I can't really speak for H-D but the japanese bikes always offer discounts and incentives on the leftover models that hasn't sold, depending on the bike it's typically anywhere from $500-$1500 off. Evidently the story is that owners of the 2023 models are extremely upset and killed the value on their bikes, they've added more stuff into the 2024 so now people don't want the older model.

    My dad & myself walked into a harley shop & there was no pricing on any of the bikes. So we asked a sell person what the price on a bike was... He had to take me to the sales manager & they started asking questions. I was like can you give me a ballpark price.. he said no... i said im just looking not buying today & his Response was if your not buying why do you want the price!!! I paused looked at my dad and said well i was going to buy 2 of them & before i buy i would like the price but since your so rude i will go else where & just walked out... Never been treated so rude at any dealership before...

    I have owned many new and used bikes through the years and currently own a 2018 VMax and 2019 Fat Boy 114. I will never ever again buy a new Harley. Their prices arent in line and I will not buy into the mentality that I need to buy a new bike and then spend thoisands on "making it mine". Buying a motorcycle is fun. A great experience but not with a HD. Japanese and European dealers don't play stupid games. I bought 3 brand new Honda motorcycles. 25 years ago the HD dealer wanted $1,000 payment for the privilege of buying a Sportster. Told them to piss off. Got a good deal on a used one that I have had for 25 years.

      @@FASTLANETV14 Ironically I bought her knowing l would have lots of shops to service the bike. She has been so reliable and dependable transportation as l don't have a car. Now she's 25 years old and shops don't want to work on her. When my cylinder broke on the URAL nobody wanted to touch her. I did it myself. I had to. A real mechanic could have done it in 1 hour. It took me 2 hours to finish the job. The old man who would help me with the BMW's passed me tools and then checked everything and set the valves for me. 5 years later the same thing happened on the other side
      This time it bent a rod so the crankshaft was replaced. Any independent shop could have done it. It costs me $250 to get the bike home 🏠. The shop could not phone me so they went ahead and did the job anyway. $1,250+ and the bike is running again. With a dead motor it was worth nothing but now she is back to normal now. Good to have her running again.

    If you do purchase Harley-Davidson motorcycle, I would advise that you avoid Harley-Davidson's insurance. I attempted to to acquire motorcycle insurance for my 2015 Harley-Davidson. I filled out all the information requested on their website and they gave me a quote of $108.00 for a 12 month policy which I was happy about. Then their site did a search and found that I had a previous insurance claim with my current vehicle, so my quote was increased to $780.00! I've had no accidents and no citations for over 15 years. The claim I had was due to a cracked windshield that I suffered from a truck that I was following which was no fault of mine. However, HD insurance penalize people for unfortunate situations that was not due to the operator's negligence. I will never, ever apply for another Harley-Davidson policy due to their moronic regulations. I always thought Harley stood up for their riders. Obviously they care more about money then they do their customers.

    High Desert Harley Davidson in Meridian, Idaho is one of these DISHONEST dealers. For example: I went in to buy a 2024 Street Glide a couple of weeks ago. The MSRP for this bike is $26,000 (actually $25,999) directly from the Harley-Davidson website. I wanted a "premium paint" bike, that's an extra $850...........so MSRP is $26,850 for this particular bike. The LYING salesman ( Ben G.) said that the MSRP from Harley is $28,349.........THIS IS A COMPLETE LIE!!!!!!!!! They charge a "market adjustment" of of $1,500, but don't tell the customer that fact.

    Look, you're the one that walked into the dealership, of course the salesman is going to try to sell you a bike, that's why they are employed there. They are also like everyone else trying to pay their bills and feed their family. WAY too many people act like sales people are vampires feeding on their blood. YOU walked into HIS/HER place of employment and expect them to not try and earn your business?! Stop with the hard ass attitude when a sales person greets you, they have a job to do!!!!! Most people think they are getting ripped off and get pissed off because of their preconceived notions that the dealer is supposed to meet YOUR financial criteria. Like wanting a 30k bike for $250 a month with $500 down and a 600 credit score (Happens every day!!!!!) Next time, before you walk into a dealer, do some SIMPLE math... Take the asking price of the bike and divide it by the term, let's say 60 months. $30,000 ÷ 60 is $500 and that's $500 without any interest added or taxes and fees... By the way, don't get pissed at the sales person for the high interest rate YOU earned with your shitty credit because YOU don't pay your bills... Don't like HD's rates, then take your bill of sale to your credit union and stop being an a-hole to the sales person trying to do their job!!!! Have some common sense and some self awareness before you walk into the dealer next time.

      Spoken like a true slimy salesman. I have yet to walk into a dealer that is not lying to you from the start. No dealer discloses everything about the fees. Dealers do not disclose they are pushing you to their "bank" because they make more money off that financing. Dealers BS you about all the extra fees they "have" to charge you over MSRP. Dealers BS you about the doc fees. Save your rant about the crappy low score buyers and look in the mirror. There are WAY more people who CAN buy then the few who only can dream. Clean up your own back yard before you complain about someone elses.

    Jus5 don't buy its just like cars there going to milk every cent out of you they can. The second you see the hidden fees pop up walk out let them know that practice cost them a sell.

    Not an issue, for me anyway, HD is no longer on my list for consideration. I would rather own an Indian. Go woke go broke. HD is dead.
