    Awesome. I loved seeing the internals of the mortise mechanism.
    You'd think that they'd have some kind of guard above the deadlatch to prevent such attacks!
    Is it possible/practical to drill a hole in the cam and still get this trick to work? I would hope that the higher-end cylinders use a hardened steel barrier back there!

    Why tape it that's cheating u have to buypass the dead lock pin u don't need tape just use better wire then shim the lock 👍

      Linda Phillips the tape is simulating the door being in the closed position. If he didn't tape it, the lock wouldn't really be "locked"
