Tip: Repair benches can now refill jackhammers for free, just like workbenches (since 1 or 2 updates ago). One of the furnace bases you raided, you used a jackhammer to raid to the TC and had to run outside to refill it. But they had a repair bench right inside. Good luck in the future. I just asked all the people who live with me to sneak up and scare me from behind whenever possible. spoonkid i am a licensed psychologist, what you have to do to get over ur fear of jump scares is avoiding it as much as possible, at all costs avoid it. it is the only way. it works because evetually when u dont experience it u will build up ur defenses against it and u will become stronger and then u won’t be scared. the period you have to avoid it is probably about half a year. forgive me for my bad spelling english is my third language
Jumpiness is usually the result of being under a lot of stress. Playing Rust, not trusting anyone plays a role. Poor diet and lack of sleep can also lead to stress. But the single greatest cause would be if you ever play with a player named Blazed. He's the no.1 cause of most young men's jumpiness.
Straight up mental check ups man. When something happens that freaks you out imediatly focus on ur breathing and calm down. over time this will become automatic and boom no more jump scares

The way to get over jump scares is to train with a known coming jump scare. Start with a jump scare that will come some time in the next 5 minutes, then do 10, then 20. A little tip with getting scared. There is a chance that your game volume is a little too loud. So when someone shoots you get scared as well its just so loud. I had that issue with DayZ. See if turning the game down a little will help.
if you're looking for ways to help your reaction to loud noises, just let fnaf jumpscare you and movies jumpscare you on repeat until you no longer react. maybe listen to one of those "10 hours interrupted by loud fnaf jumpscare videos while doing stuff on ur pc. it should help, it helped me :) i got rid of my rust tom n jerry jumping lol
There’s the Kano method to train yourself for surprises. Hire a guy to ambush you at random points in the day and eventually you’ll get calm or paranoid enough to stay calm when it happens. Inspector kluso did this in pink panther
