I think a dog tracker GPS collar would be a great help for your travel lifestyle. So glad you had a great outcome.
@Lazy Reaper of course that could always happen but the tracker doesn't stand out as anything special and might go unnoticed at first. Also the dog can get lost and it not have anything to do with theives. It's good if you can cover as many bases as you're able to.

@Drako-shi i have a dog and since its a law in my country i had it chipped that chip goes in its neck and it cant even be seen its smaller than the point of a pin i know cuz i asked the vet if i can see the chip before he puts it in
And it works like a barcode so you only need ti "rub" the dogs neck with a device
@@Mollah03 That chip doesn't track the dog, though, its purpose is merely to identify the dog if it is found and taken to the vet
I read Luke's story on Local newspaper. I am very happy that boy has been re-united with his family.
People who actually found and keep him safe while the owner fly to India is need to be thanked and appreciated ❤️
Maybe mention the person who found him and called... People deserve appreciation for doing good.. it not only encourages them but others as well.. always appreciate.. spread positivity..

There's a comment above saying that the man who found him is a veterinarian and he refused the reward.
It makes sense he didn't want to be recorded on camera or mentioned.
Your comment has good intentions but don't automatically presume that since you aren't aware/haven't heard that something has been done, that nothing has been done.
The world doesn't exist only though your own eyes.
I speak from experience, my mother is so self centered that she presumes that whatever she doesn't know or didn't see a person do, that it didn't happen or even exists.
Not only does it give her a false image of people, but she ultimately unconsciously looks down people all the time and enters a thinking pattern where her thoughts and experiences are only contributed by her own reasoning, so it keeps just confirming her one sided thinking process and world view.
It's either black or white. There one way thing are good or work, her way, and the bad way or failing way.
It's like, if she didn't think of a reasoning or possibility instead of thinking there are unknowns, she can't just entertain that others can reason differently or that are other things going on she hasn't thought of and so that ultimately that if she has thought of it, it doesn't exist.
Like a glass ceiling in her reality of sorts of you understand my meaning.
People like that won't say they are the smartest of the world but still only see what they can think of, so they think they have figured out the world.
In reality their world is pretty small.
Not saying that you do this, i don't know you. (Probably was just a lapse in judgement)
Just showing where I'm coming from.
And explain the pitfall that can come if you reason that way.
it becomes a habit and only having your own narrative can make it so you keep thinking you understand the world and people better while the opposite is happening.

Most good people will reject a reward in such situations. Appreciation however is a different thing. Anyway, if she didn't want to be mentioned, its perfectly her choice and its fine. I wasn't accusing, just an opinion.

I don't understand. With so many homeless dogs in India why would anyone steal him? It was a miracle that he was found and am glad. It is one thing to lose a pet to death but to lose a pet and not know what happened to it is heart wrenching.

They knew he was love. So they thought of stealing him to get a reward for returning him. Animals are loved in India. But that doesn't mean the poor cant use them for scams. Simple logic. They steal em, wait for someone to post reward, then return them and claim the money.

I’m from chennai and I’m really sorry on behalf of our city that someone stole him but also proud that almost 2,000 people from all walks of life joined hands to reunite them. Both sides of the same coin. Bless this couple and a dogs unconditional love ❤️

I am so thankful that they were reunited with their beloved dog, Luke... 160 is a long time to be without a member of your family... it was truly a miracle that they were able to be reunited, and I am very happy for that couple and their dog Luke!

My dog got stolen in April this year and we found him after 40 days( he was so weak and covered in ticks when we got him back) so I know what they must have felt 😭😭😭

Edit:- I think my cat is back in the form of my dog. All characteristics are the same, same attitude, a complete diva.
My cat went missing over 14 years back and like a fool I still wait for her to show up someday.

I was having a pup.. my parents allowed me to make him the part of our family❤.. we played,we enjoyed... i grew up ... fudge grew up.. In my depressed moments I cuddled fudge... he loved me back.. but once I was going on a walk with him.. idk fudge just stopped and started running .. and he didn't saw the car coming.. .. oh lord!😞😞 he.. just died in front of me.. I started crying like hell.. his blood was all over me.. after all this.. I am having so many reasons to be sad.. but no reason to be happy.. guys pls take care of ur pets❤ everyone deserves a soul like them in ur life❤
I am sure that his soul will rest in peace, because he had an owner like you, who loved him throughout his life-time.
That's why I always avoid taking them to roads. I make sure they are tied up. You are really strong but if I face something like that I would probably collapse right there.

I'm from the place where luke got lost.
I'm overwhelmed with joy that the family got united.
I am from south india and I am working in Chennai city. I know that Chennai people love dogs even street dogs. every street dog will wait near a tea shop for someone to feed them biscuits. Since i was staying in rent i cant adopt a dog so i carry a packet of biscuits in my bike and feed dogs and spent time with them when ever i can. This gives me a great relief from my work pressure.
So I just don't understand why a person stole a dog in chennai, am very confused the motive behind this. It bring tears in my eyes and happiness in my heart to see the family reunites.

I think someone took him because the van was a bit hot. I think I would do that too in fear of the dog's safety
He was taken while left outside the car on a leash because of the heat. So someone intentionally stole him just to keep him.

He is their child and definitely is the same thing as losing your child. He’s so lucky nothing happened to him, 3 months would have tortured me.

ManicMan 2298 well the couple traveled internationally, I hope they learned valuable lesson. Not all people are friendly toward dogs, people might steal your dog and ask for ransom, or the worst is that there are people that eat dogs.

this is incredible, but I was on a vacation in indian years ago, and I remember reading a newspaper about the same dog, and how he had been stolen very clearly. I have a dog myself, and I remember thinking about how I would have felt if I had lost him. It was shocking and totally random that I saw this youtube video.

After this ordeal and the mental and emotional torture of not knowing where or how he was and the fact that they got him back I think probably in the future one of them will stay with the dog. I can't even imagine. I'd be a total mess if one of mine went missing.
