I learned Python 1 year ago (I know sketchy things) and now I'm learning C#. Actually, C# seems more pleasing to me. I'm glad I learned Python 1 year ago and it wasn't too difficult to switch to C# since I knew some subjects. when i first started programming i thought python and javascript is the best languages, after i learned more languages i realized that each languages is good at certain things python is good for scripting, AI, and bots c# is good for games, desktop apps, and backend javascript is good for webdev, mobile apps, and desktop apps c/c++ good for low level stuff sure you can build website with python but should you? there is not many library you can use, so there is no best language, is just what you want to build

Hey this totally depends what you want to do! If you’re mostly interested in data analysis python is currently leading the industry in that, but if you’re mainly interested in game development c# is the driving code for Unity game engine, and c++ is the main backbone of unreal game engine and what arduino usually uses! So hope that helps you get started :)

This is a funny skit. But on a real note lot of people on comments are lost. Each programming language are meant for different things. This is like comparing MS paint with photoshop. Photoshop/ C# complicated things for a reason, it is the only way to achieve its goals. If photoshop only had 9 buttons like on paint, then the whole purpose is gone. You can't compare programming languages like that. Same way the reason why you have to do all the extra syntax is because of how good it is at what it does. Python is not meant to deal with memory and threads and packages and deeper architectures, it is more of a 'sneaker' that various sports people can use for various purposes.

This is just wrong. In C# its basically the same one liner. Also i would not recommend an interpreted dynamic language for beginners (python, javascript, ...). Static Types help beginners know what and how they can do stuff and compilers will keep them from writing invalid code. I won't say C# is the best language but some aspects about it make it great as the first Programming in general. My favourites are: - almost no abbreviations - good documentation with full tutorials and good, long examples - huge standard library (.NET) with basically every feature you will ever need - free IDE (Visual Studio Community) - type inference - no memorizing of functions because of Object Oriented Programming. The Types will tell you everything you can do with them! Also from what i've heared, Go may also be really beginner friendly because of its simple feature set. Some languages might have more interesting features like Rust, Haskell or C++ but i always come back to C# because of readability and its huge Standard Library.
