I've been binging your vlogs for my 5th Japan trip next year! I have never been to Fukuoka and Hiroshima so planning to start the trip there, and I saved so many restaurants on google maps from your vlogs so thank you. I actually booked Hotel Vista too before seeing your vlog. Your videos always have good vibes and I love your interactions with people. I'm Indonesian and I feel a kinship with Filipinos, I feel that both groups of people have genuine warmth and friendliness! Taking the shinkansen is an experience on its own. Fun fact, there are different types of shinkansen and the one you took is the Sakura shinkansen. There are also Hikari, Nozomi, and Hayabusa to name a few. Nozomi is the more popular choice in Western Japan as it is faster and newer albeit costlier. Hayabusa is the shinkansen of choice when heading north especially to Hokkaido. Try buying tickets for the Green Car next time for a more premium feel, and I promise you'll never take the regular seats again once you tried it (or the higher Gran Class, this one comes with lounge access and meal when taking the Hayabusa for longer rides). It's always a treat watching your vlogs. :D

By the way, the small spoon is not for miso soup, but for making it easier to eat oyakodon, where the rice grains tend to fall apart. It’s so wonderful to see you enjoying our city.

Our tip: best to reserve tickets ahead if you are traveling with oversized baggage. In our experience those seats run out faster. There is a special storage for the luggage at the back of the car. But if you happen to reserve a seat without luggage, you will have to cram it in front of you and there isn't really leg room for that. There are also luggage forwarding services at the train station which we haven't tried but seems more convenient. That way you don't need to worry about the baggage on the train. It's delivered straight to your hotel for an extra fee.

Thanks! My neck strap is from Fotoclub BKK in Bangkok. Amazing little store. But in Japan, the straps in Bic and Yodobashi are endless and equally cool ✨️✨️✨️🎞✨️✨️🥸✌🏽✨️
Hey, did you run into any problems with your luggage on the shinkansen? I know that there are special seats for people with bigger suitcases etc. but I cant tell if i need them or if I will be able to store my suitcase in the overhead department. Really enjoy your Japan vlogs, they are a grate inspiration for our upcoming Japan trip! 😊
If you are traveling with big luggage (bigger than a carry-on size) we recommend booking the reserved seat with 'oversized luggage'. You can try to cram it in front of you, but there won't be enough leg space tbh. Seats with oversize luggage run out quickly though if you are only buying on the day of your trip, so it's better to buy in advance. It didn't happen to us, but we've talked to people who didn't do this and had to stand with their oversize luggage the whole ride. Hope that helps 😊
You can take the Nozomi, Mizuho or Sakura bullet train to Hiroshima. Don't know the exact times, but they leave quite often so you can check it online.
I haven't gotten over my Japan trip from last month, and watching your vlogs isn't really helping. 😭 Just kidding! I'm thinking of traveling up north next time, but this is tempting me to head south instead (see not really helpful 🥲😂).
