This is what hamas brought on palestinians. This is what 70% of the palestinians brought upon themselves, when they voted in hamas. Who in their right mind votes in a terrorist organization?! The palestinians have been fighting Israel for decades. Imagine Canada hitting the USA all the time. It would have been wiped off the map by now. And then imagine Canada coming in to your hometown and taking your children, whilst you are grocery shopping. Your heart shatters from fear, when you know that they rape even young girls and torture even children. My heart goes out to the innocent victims among the Israelis, who now Have to fight this war.
What do you think the world should do? Many in the world are trying to help. Some are trying to help both sides. Many send money and aid. Others don't. But, shame first and foremost on the parties who wage war and kill and maime and forever scar the innocent on both sides. This conflict has simmered and boiled, simmered and boiled for ages. I hope the right Palestinian and Jewish leaders step up. The right leadership in those groups will do the most to improve the lives of humans in this area of the world. It is very sad and demoralizing to see human suffering caused by this war.

The fact most comments thank CNN for reporting the truth of what has been happening for more than 2 months in Gaza is in itself very telling. There should have been more balanced reporting from day 1.
One can only hope that CNN do try to be more balanced. But one or 2 clips of reporting reality isn't enough to change the view of unbalanced reporting. CNN you need to do better and this is a step in doing better.

You should watch Channel News Asia. It's literally an Israeli controlled news. All the reports that is about gaza is provided by the IDF at Tel Aviv. They show videos of IDF in action but never show the bombed houses in gaza or the patients in hospital.

Seperating citizens from their government or their horrible organizations which run their societies is crucial part of having empathy and understanding as a human. No government is representative and speaks for all citizens of a nation.
The tragedy here is that civilians, disproportionately women & children, are caught in the crossfire of a conflict. I urge you, even for a moment, understand that it is innocent people that are suffering - not those who have been inflicting the pain.

The only other thing in the report I would edit is that Ward said 2/3 are estimated to be women and children and then later said 2/3 are estimated to be civilians. Not all men in Gaza are non-civilians. Many men who were killed were students, doctors, dentists, professors, journalists, fathers, and just people as normal as anyone could be in Gaza. And kudos to applauding your peers in Gaza - I complete agree that the Palestinian journalists (to name a few like Bisan Owda, Motaz Azaiza, Hind Khoudary, and Plestia Alqad) have been doing heroic work and are all in their young 20s.

My heart is breaking seeing the horror of war victims. The screams of children shouting for rescue and help. GOD helps those victim of collateral damage .
For almost 4 months we have been watching 2.2 millions under siege, bombed, executed, buried under rubble “alive”, deprived from food, water, medications, hygiene supplies, winter clothing, all necessities in this harsh winter, displaced living in tents dripping water when it rains. All their hospitals have gone out of service, no anaesthesia, no medical equipment, no medication.
It broke my heart to hear the poor girl with the missing leg say that no one is listening. I can understand why they feel that as everything has been cut off so they can't possibly know that the world is listening and standing with, giving their hearts to each and every Palestinian Civilian.
