A) The Internet makes it relatively easier for people to become rich and famous which puts them in a position of power. So it's almost inevitable that someone will try to abuse that power position one way or another hence leading to most influencer controversies.
B) There's a secret life hack/ sacrificial ritual that all rich and famous people do to get all their materialistic desires. However, it comes at the cost of corrupting their souls, making them more likely do to this type of stuff...

If no pictures were shared, then it was not sexting. Perhaps they made inappropriate jokes, as people do in gaming lobbies that sometimes have children in them, and the person on the other end happened to be a minor. Remember playing call of duty as a kid and how many adults made crude jokes in the lobby. Those guys were just having fun. If the finger pointers were true, then he'd be in prison. Note that no pictures were shared, nor was there mention of an intended meet-up.
Finally I saw someone question this. I'm not a fan of Dr. Disrespect, but we only know that he "talked" to minors (without any proof it was sеxting or smth or atleast I didn't see anything). I qustion everything where there was like many cases where some youtubers indeed talked to minors, but many of them was just casual conversations or the "victim" fabricates evidence or speaks half-truths to make person look bad without the whole picture. Without any context this case is just targeted to destroy Dr. D without any real evidence. I guess the huge part plays that people didn't like him beforehand. The same with Dream, he beat allegations, but people still call him names. We'll see what happens.

Twitch had a massive breach of contract with the entire conversation.
Minors aren't allowed to use the whisper feature but this proved they were which was a massive legal lawsuit against twitch in the making that's why they settled and hushed it up.
It has nothing to do with how explicit the messages were at all so stop spreading misinformation and do some actual research.
I think it's more the zero tolerance companies have with stuff like this, its literally been seen dozens of times, especially at the peak of cancel culture, companies dropped celebs/creators without a second thought if they were involved in anything even mildly scandalous (not saying doc did something mild) but it's just typical. Bad association doesnt do well with investors and the company stock.

He admitted he talked to minors, but people make it seem like taking to minors itself a crime lol. I guess when people read "talked to monors" they have bad associations with it.
