We’re really meant to believe your review when you’ve been given them for free and only have over a 1000 subs. If you gave an honest review you wouldn’t be able to beg for other free stuff as no manufacturer would want anything to do with you. Their job is to sell their products no matter how bad they are whilst letting everyone think they’re brilliant.

in this case Govee seen i have bought ''lots'' from them over the years and made videos with my Own Money Govee M1 for Eg
Govee then ask if they can send the curtain and no other info passes hands they ask if you will do a HONEST review Curtain is still up you can see it in my videos under my tree was full of Govee this Year
Govee are one of the best company i have worked with they DO NOT TELL ANYONE what to say they believe in a good quality good user experience and then word of mouth to drive sales clearly you have no idea about My Channel and Govee but Thankyou For taking the Time to comment i hope you have a great holiday and all the best for 2024

Having trouble finding info on the internet. I just got these and was wondering if you recommend a white sheet or sheer curtains for these? If there’s any pros or cons for either.
And would they work as well if the sheet or curtain was behind the lights? Thank you!
i tried with a black back ground and white wall background
i didn't see much difference at all as for you qustion i think it may have slight benifits depending on the material used but i set up my projector screen infront of these lights and by accident i was like oh this looks cool as it diffuses the light further so yes i think they still work well with a backing with a thin material in front provided the material doesnt block light it should be fine my friend

This was such a helpful review! One question I have. I am thinking of getting these for my bedroom window. However, my bedroom window is smaller than the dimensions of this. Do you know if you can like "crop" what's being displayed so that it stays more in the centre of the image? It looks like you can do with the text function? Thanks!

Yes but only for The custom images, so your...Text, Finger Sketches and some Gifs can all be centered.
The preset one's that has no edit function are pretty well centered also, but yes with the custom tab you can cirtainly move the image / Text to fit as desired, delete and re positioned. i hope that helps answer your question and Have a great Day

Is it possible to upload a custom static picture? For example, a logo.
Yes you would have to make adjustments for it to sit perfect also resolution plays a part but yes its possible provided its a simple logo you can also draw in finger scetch and controll each pixel so it can be done that way too
I just got too of these, i really love them but i cant figure out how to set it to the rainbow gradient it was on by default when i firt plugged them in... before i set them up. It looked so cool. Is there no why to have that as an option?
ok for the Basic Rainbow mode that you see when you first turn them on you can get them on Scene s Tab, Natural, and select Rainbow or shiny Rainbow is the new version i hope this helps and i hope you enjoy them Have a great Day
@REALLYRANDOMREVIEW5 Thanks for the reply, but mine doesn't have either of those in the nature tab. I only have rainbow bridge and rainbow cloud. Neither of which are similar to what we are talking about. It says I'm up to date. I've only had them for a week, and it updated upon installation. Hmmm :/
what black cloth did you use as a background?
I used a Blackout Curtain from Amazon Its like a shiny Foil on one side black the other i thought it would look cool but the foil side was too reflective i also liked the black background Its under rated and not seen many do it tbh i will try to link the exact sheet i have in the description maybe should have already done that .. sorry My Friend Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment I hope you have a Great Day

if you intend on using it as a divider kind of thing I would maybe use a Black curtain or Back ground white is also great For reflection though and both looked good in my tests
but i think black would devide the room more it would be a personal preference though really
But like i said if its in the center of a room i would use a Curtain also to improve the lighting effects

Is it possible to make several different scenes show one after another?
I believe so but im not 100 % to be honest i am about to do a Video on the Govee App its updates How to programme custom themes and Voice control etc
i will test all these things out in more detail my Friend along with various Govee light kits
Is it possible to have multiple animations (eg Christmas images) changing every few seconds, then repeat again, for hours, I just cant figure out how?
im not sure that is possible tbh i would have to test it ! but Its worth noting for future reference and I will mention it to Govee To see if they can update it in the Future to do so

Yes. They also have other ones that other users made that you can use with the simple tap on apply and boom you have it on your curtain. You can also search for and see what others made. I love all the govee lights I purchased. My outdoor permanent light and the curtain are my favorite so far.

yes you can look for the AUTORUN setting you can add up to 20 scenes and ajust the time delay betwen changes 5 mins is the shortest i hope thay change this in new firmwear to 1,2 3, 4 5 mins for me 5 mins is a bit to long
I wish there were detailed tutorials, I don't understand how to use Layers.
I will do a in depth tutorial on the govee app as i did say if the rope light video hit 200 likes i would do one !

the layers just mean the row basically so top would be from the top middle, bottom and so on ...so if you imagine the canvas as being in several sections horizontally or vertically but they have several options that can get confusing but just means you can change the position of the animation basically i hope you have a great day
How do you get it to automatically scroll through chosen scenes? Ive tried the auto play option but doesnt seem to change from.ome scene to another. Thanks.

how long did it take for you to setup on the wall?
Hi mate depending on the methood you prefer i used the tacs so its quick and easy maybe 5 mins set up the hardest part is lining up the hangars so there evenly spaced which isn't too difficult id say 10 mins tops anyone should be set up My friend App and everything

kind of one main lead and the rest drape off its not too bad tbh there was some cable managment afterward but nothing too serious my friend They are on offer now i believe

BUT, can it do a real time clock with date?
as it stands i don't think there is a way to do it even with custom settings but its maybe something Govee could look at in Future as i did Try to get my Live Sub count on there for the Video but it didn't work my friend I will pass it onto to Govee suggestions
How many curtains do u have ? I have one its not clear
if its not clear maybe your either standing too close or have the strands twited which can throw the effects off slightly I would recommend using it against some curtains a wall or back drop to make it pop but also it is only a 2 x 1.5 so the straiter the stands and forward facing the better and also if you stand back a few meters this will also look clearer also maybe you just need to find some cool modes that you like

i think its 5 now it started as 3 but Govee updated to 5 but possibly even more in the future
How do you splice them together?
Where is the music coming from? I just bought my wife one for Christmas. It looks cool but has no sound. Or is this just background music?
The music is in the back ground but there are some bits of music or things like Raindrops, thunderstorms and tranquil sounds in the Dream View menu but the actual music in the video is in the room from my sound bar

no its not ignorance my Friend its quite complex for new users but very simple once you know where everything is ..
Ok so if you open the Govee App at the very top you will see..
Home - Devices - Automation
in that order go to the Home page scroll down you will see a Dream View Tile Scenic Dream View and Music Dream View all the modes are in there my Friend i hope this helps
you may need to add the device you trying to use to dream view but its normally automatic if compatable which the Curtain Is Happy New Year

There’s to much blur on your display likely because they are to bright with that white back drop

unfortunately i didn't notice until it was in Edit i plan to do an updated version soon hopfully with better quality footage and with all the new updates and themes etc
Great for the night time but your wall will look ugly when not in use during the day. Wouldn't recommend.
it actually blends quite well but yes it is visable when not in use and if you use it on a curtain or window etc it may look better than on a wall i just chose the wall as it was my largest clear are to record
they need to make a black version so the white isn't an eyesore if you're shooting a video with it in teh background

thinking about getting three of these to use in music video backgrounds, so would be nice to have the option. wonder if i could find some kind of spray paint that wouldn't damage the cables... of course only after mask taping the leds.😅 @@REALLYRANDOMREVIEW5
Don't buy these if you plan on using more than one or want to use them outdoors. Each curtain is powered by a giant 110v power brick. They advertise linking three together, but you have to give each curtain it's own separate power supply - not just connecting functions via an app. Don't get these if you care about a clean install. If you want to run more than one, you'll have extension cords all over the place. C'mon Govee, you should have designed these with the capability to actually connect them physically together. Curtain lights draw very low power, and these could have been USB, which would allow you to connect everything to an outdoor solar power bank.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion and although i disagree i do like the idea of eing able to join them up
Govee did a update recently which allows you to use 2 3 or upto 5 Curtains and sync them up
so this isnt really an issue i would prefer them segmented for maintainance and staorage
also im pretty sure these couldn't be USB at this size with the brightness and effects available i could be wrong there
In theory the led diodes could run off USB but not with so many
the appp is free and one of the Best free apps that exist so im not entirely sure on your issue with it
finally the power brick is a typical out door type you can use another of the same Power output and voltage
i havn't seen any other brand make anything half as good yet either it won't be for everyone i get that personal preference is a big factor for sure Thanks for taking the time to comment and i hope you have a Great Day : )
