I know we talked about getting the mounts instead of the inserts, but with this video people can make there own decision what route they want to go. Very helpful with someone on the fence or on a budget, good video keep it up.

Thank you! Much appreciated! If I do swap them out, it’ll be down the road. Looking to put my money a bit more into tuning before going back to visuals.

Also u could point the camera at the engine and rev it up and see how much the engine moves. 0-60 looking good.

He dont wanna show proof of speeding

That's not a bad idea! May have to incorporate that shot eventually! Might want a new GoPro first. My Hero 4 fell off the car at 60 and ever since then, it overheats and fogs the glass really easily.

My dogbone an engine mount insert make my car shake like crazy at low speeds, when on the throttle unless im in sport mode on the dsg ,but its like if I had a broken motor mount, frign weird if it don't break in I'll be removing it

    • @TheParkingLotMechanic

It should break in quite a bit as long as it's the poly material and not a metal. Mine never had any bad side effects. A little harsher to drive but nothing like a broken mount. Let me know how it does!

@@TheParkingLotMechanic thanks Yeh i couldn't take the vibration anymore I mean it was alot a real lot but when I put it in sport mode it wasn't there even from a stop very weird ,,I'm stage 2 tune with a bunch of bolt ons but I took out the motor mount inserts and it's alot better,,I think it because of the dsg transmission that it was so bad cuzz it likes to stay at low rpms when driving so ima shell out some more money an get that tuned as well but I had a real hard time getting the insert into the dog bone the gaps it was supposed to slid in in the rear part were basically closed I had do some of hand trickery with a truck strap to the bone an pull it forward to alow it to slide up ,I also have the bushing upgrade for the dogbone pendulum to so maybe that will help but you gotta drill the bracket to 15 mill to except the new tube that sits in the bushing an so if I do that there's no turning back so I've been hesitant on that ,,but yeah it the poly insert ,,my wife drives the car so she'll hate it if I left it like it was it felt like my motor mount wasn't there lol an the engine was bolted to the frame an I got the soft one to but it's gone now I'm just going to get new mounts for bolth when I can ,but it still shakes a bit with the dogbone just not like it did it was real bad felt like stuff on my car was going to come lose it was so bad but again I got a dsg not a stick so I think that why cuzz in sport it didn't shake at all nothing just very weird,,but I'm focusing my money towards a true front mount intercooler not one that sits on fhe radiator, arm motorsports has one an there gone hook me up with one for under 500 so can't beat that ,,I'll have to convince my wife on that ,,she drives like a grandma so she don't care about power like I do lol,,but thanks for the reply,,I hope it dose losing up a bit but it is nice being able to spin the tire without the hop an clank noise,,happy tuning bro👍 tsi's for life lol

@@jaymoney7968 It probably does come down to the DSG. That is unfortunate though because my insert was so good, I hate to see that yours wasn't! Not a total deal breaker on modding the car though. A FMIC sounds epic and I'm gearing up for one and coilovers soon. Should be fun!

@@TheParkingLotMechanic yeah it needs it I got all new charge pipes from arm motorsports an the cts muffler delete which is twice as big as the stock one an helps with flow ,but I have all my intake an charge piping wrapped with heat wrap which after I did it I noticed the intake temp dropped significantly so the front mount intercooler will definitely improve it more ,an I'm definitely doing the dsg tune ,it's a must at this piont probably before the intercooler, good luck to you on future modding as well happy tuning
