the voice acting for the evil royals so cool yet it pains me cuz they sound sad/remorseful-
Corrupted Fogado's battle quote in the final xenologue chapter really gets me.
he sounds so broken from having died 2 times and then dies a 3rd and final time-
it really makes you appreciate how he's a recurring boss.
it deff has more weight to it compared to the main game's recurrign boss formula.
I like how they gave Fogado and Hortensia quotes vs Alear in the final chapter because he's trapped in ch 5 so it only occurs in the last chapter.
but man Alfred and Timerras really hurt- their vas are amazing.
Celine being prideful's actually surprising and very cool too-

@@TheElementsAreWithMe Actually you CAN see their death animations! You just have to pass the points their story relevance has passed to see them (even Veyle has a death if she's killed in the final battle) I believe you can find them at the points they stop appearing in cutscenes! Like Hortensia losses relevance I believe after you get Rosado and Goldmary! That's when her "Deaths" become Death Animations rather then "retreat but still dead"
The game does a good job at HIDING them, but unlike Fates, there isn't a plot armor injury over death scene! I was like you in thinking this after I saw it in Fates, but some sources including TV Tropes pretty much state they have Plot armor in that they don't have Death Scenes but retreats/Permanently Removed till they die AFTER you pass certain points in the story involving them (Note the Retainers have Death Scenes and even after battle acknowledgement if they die in the chapter they join! Engage did what Three Houses did where other then the Main Lord of your route's Retainer! The cutscenes are set in a way that takes note of WHO in your chosen house are there are not! IF their death or removed, their dialogue quip and conversations with others is removed so you'll never notice unless you GO OUT OF YOUR WAY to do so! Meaning only the Iron Man players who aren't that good at keeping folk alive will see this)

She did lead up to that by saying “Even if it’s too late for me to repent”, which gave the indication that she really didn’t *want* to abuse her sister…but maybe that the Fell Dragon’s power compelled her to, like when Hyacinth was corrupted in *our* timeline. Food for thought.

In the main game we learn that the Elusian court is a place of intrigue and manipulation. We also learn that Ivy's mother drove all of Ivy's other half-siblings away from the court with her ways, and only Hortensia and her mother remained because Hortensia's mother's good personality won over even Ivy's mother's heart.
We also learn that Ivy turned to the worship of the Divine Dragon to distance herself from the court.
So we can assume that the following things happened in the alternate universe:
Hortensia's mother was probably never able to win over sympathies at court and Ivy's mother in particular.
Both Divine Dragons have fallen. Lumera at one point in the past. With the death of an entity that was worshipped as a deity in parts of the world she never had a reason to change faith, after all what sense does it make to worship someone who can die "so easily"? Ivy will therefore have accepted the Elusian status quo and adapted. We know little about her mother, but I think it's strong to assume that (depending on when Lumera died) she aligned herself more with her mother (scaring away and tormenting half-siblings) and adopted her father's modus operandi in the main story with the death of the last Divine Dragon.
Her last words, however, suggest that the development of her personality is more a victim of circumstance: If Lumera and Alear had not died, she probably would have become much like the standard Ivy.
A stark counterexample is Xeno-Timerra, which is the absolute antithesis of her standard version. She probably would have become the way she is even without the death of the two Divine Dragons.

in jp version, this is fogado's quote: "hahaha boy do wonder. even when I died multiple times, I have the thought of liking and killing someone again."
when death: "finally...this is the last time...right. you there, thank you...I love you, from my heart."
don't ask me what happened to the translation here, as diamant, alcryst, alfred, celine are exactly the same. (hortensia, ivy and timerra has bit of tweak on nuance)
if you wonder about the minor difference, here's the following:
hortensia initial quote "in my heart, I knew that no one will ever get back to normal...everyone was gone along with divine dragon"
death: "what a joy...everyone would surely be together on that side...oh I wish my sis will also be nice with me"
ivy's initial quote is the same, but add "hey, can you tell me why?" after the last sentence
death: "even after devoting to fell dragon...can I ever go back in light...? after being so harsh with hortensia...can I apologize her...?
timerra's initial quote is exactly same
death: "I feel real soothing...just like the sky of my home country. if possible, under that sky...I wish everyone be together again, with divine dragon, and do..."

I know this is late, but in the Alternative Elyos, The Alear from that world wasn't a child of Sombron; they really WERE a child of Lumera, and not half fell, half divine. As a result, Alt. Lumera didn't have to put Alt. Alear to sleep for a thousand years, thus, there was no need for Stewards to watch over the Somniel. However....
Hortensia, despite knowing that she was corrupt, still wanted to find salvation and a way to resurrect her dead father. Fogado instead.... he just wanted to see the world burn and he didn't mind being a pawn and dying many: as long as he caused death and slaughter, he was fine for him.

@@brunosanto3488 It's better to say before this point, only Fogado and Hortensia were aware! At this point their now more aware and well, to say many of them didn't take it well is an understatement (Like Celine who's full on embracing her "inner Alt Fogado" with how she feels now she doesn't even have to bear a "mask of sanity" it's scary much for the prime Fogado and Celine seeing these's versions of themselves because they know deep down, there's some parts of them that are the same! Their Circumstances are the ONLY reason they themselves didn't "unleash the beast" I mean did you VIEW Alt Celine dialogue with Alear if they fight! She made clear she always wanted to kill them, but because they were on the same side, it would have been in poor taste! Though like Fogado, it's up in the air if it was just an evil thought they felt ashamed of having and would never have put it into practise if the madness of losing everything and then being revived as Zombies and having been Zombies all this time removed all avenues of sanity by the point they as in Alt Fogado and Celine started to just embrace the madness to cope with their dreadful situation!)
      Their death quotes are sad! Fogado, and Alfred just want to die. Fogado's case to "die for good and NOT COME BACK" (Truly RIP, if the world burn, yeah that was an option he was willing to cause, but either way he gets what he wants! IT all burns, or he burns!) and Alfred, the flower field he mentioned sounds ALOT like "SPOILERS The field Alear ends up when they are killed by Sombron along with Good Veyle, having the same feelings as she did when she just wanted to give up and just await the others as she knew her evil self was going to kill them and they'd be there as well! At least then they can be happy and together in death!;
With Hortensia she's resigned herself completely into her hopeless situation with at least surprisingly the hope that she won't be revived a third time as well with Fogado and the hope maybe in the afterlife things will be better, same with Diamant who embraces death because now he doesn't have to worry anymore, bad king or good king, it doesn't matter anymore, he's free from a position he felt he was chained to! Celine dies with pride she at least went down fighting, Same with Timerra; Ivy and Alcryst awaken from their power trip madness and reveal their feelings of regret for how they mistreat their siblings (Ivy looked like she was having self-awareness of her cruelty, her regret for not being able to apologize to Hortensia for the horror show she put her through, Alcryst as I suspect with his vs conversations with Citrinne, Lapis and Saphir that their deaths and his helplessness might have caused him to crack, his delusions of grandeur that he would be a better king being him trying to mask his powerlessness at not being able to do anything to prevent their deaths, and regret he got so full of it he damaged things between himself and Diament So badly desiring the throne in his belief with the power of a king he'd could have done things better, he failed his older brother by being a bad one) All these's death quotes work quite well in matching your armies ACTUAL death quotes in the main game Classic mode in how tragic they sound and are! (Bonus that as in Three Houses and Three Hopes! Enemy allies deaths are given the slowmo and deathscream/this cannot be, as they would on your own characters taking a death blow just to let it sink in!)
Sad part about this all is it ends VERY bittersweetly! You do NOT save the alternative Elyos, it's already long unsalvageable! Best you can do is take the remaining survivors into Prime Elyos and give the remaining residence who are all zombies their "final rest" Putting a pitchfork at the end of this shitshow mess! And looking at where it FEELS like the devs expected you storywise to do it (Which is late game which is DUMB as the Joining Level and stats WILL have the new characters struggle to catch up if you do it at that point! Seriously this is Revelations all over again where I get Hana, try her on a skirmish map, only to see her UNDERPERFORMING compared to in Birthright where she was viable out the gate! Realizing to my horror, the devs NEVER DID CHECKS TO SEE IF THE CHARACTERS BASE STATS WERE ADJUSTED FOR REVELATIONS! I hope the idiot who thought leaving them at their base stats with SMALL adjustments when they made their join time HAPPEN FAR FROM THE POINT WHERE THEY WERE VIABLE OUT THE GATE! Got a Pay decrease and a demotion cause "fuck that guy!) while the twins can fit into Prime Elyos well enough! The Four Winds sadly will have to live in a world where their counterparts have wrecked so much havoc and are well known, that they're STILL "Heroes with bad publicity" (Except in Alt Elyos it was because the corrupted were insane and attacking them, the only LIVING individuals left thinking THEY were the corrupted or had a hand in helping the mess! Prime Elyos no one's aware but the Army that the Four Hounds sans Mauvier are deceased) but hey, better then what they left I guess
