It is incredible seeing how few people actually have a 2nd runner/buff buddy to make a refuge when it is the most risk free thing you can do and in this instance helps big even more so. I saw way too many people struggling with that and still forgoing the 2nd buff guy.
Good thing to note is that explosive light is much better than bait and switch on rockets for caretaker and planets. You can only get 2-3 rockets out per plate anyways, so buffing each of those by 25% with explosive light is much more beneficial than trying to proc bait and switch (using one of your rockets with a 0% buff) for a buff that's only 5% higher than explosive light. Not to mention how much simpler explosive light is to proc. Anything to reduce complexity of damage phases will help most teams.
Valid but the first rocket actually DOES get affected by BnS, Aegis tested this and confirmed it, plus Explosive Light scales very poorly with Wolfpack Rounds, they only buff it by around 10% as opposed to the 30% it gives for BnS rockets IIRC.
@@LlamaD2 Interesting, I wouldn't have thought the first rocket is buffed. Spaghetti code? In that case, BnS is good, but we also cooked with explosive light so i think either is fine.
Something I learned last night on captain planets (explicator) - you don't have to kill the tormentor in order to get platinum score. It despawns about 2 seconds after someone steps into one of the plates for damage. We ended up just giving it a wide berth until damage was ready to start, focusing on other adds.
Another thing we learned is choosing when to use our supers is important. We front loaded our golden guns on first plate and instructed everyone to not bother trying to get bait and switch going and just shoot. This is because once the damage threshold is reached he will start charging phase. We would use supers like burning maul last, but we found that titans actually do better with curiass because either tornados don’t stack or don’t get to deal their full damage. Finally we would stay on the plate until countdown reaches two seconds to make sure buff doesn’t run out

Spent 8 hours with a single lfg group and got all the way to nezerac without any issues before getting stuck on nez for the last 2 hours before getting off. but to platinum 7 encounters in 6 hours Aint half bad especially considering it was the entire team’s first time doing riven legit and we were all excited for it and outburstly happy when we beat riven.
Spent four hours on Riven. First hour was just learning. Then it was figuring out that my partner in reading didn’t realize you have to press grenade (he had been pressing super) then from there we were too focused on our eyes up top and didn’t do enough damage. Between all of that the minotaurs kept screwing us up. Until eventually we killed her, got plat, and went to sleep because it was 2 in the morning
Tip to anyone struggling to get Rhulk stuck in the back; This was my job and at some occasions, even with melee resistance and 100 Resilience, he'd still one shot me. I suggest whoever is going Div be the one getting him stuck, throw on a legendary sword, and block his kick. You can bring him as far back as you want so long as you're not overzealous and get whacked off the edge. Once you feel he's as far back as possible, then run to the wall and STAY STILL. Since then, I've never had him NOT get stuck. Plus, having all that free space allows your line of sight with Div to be picture-clear. Happy runs everyone!
I would say contest mode is still harder since there’s no extra modifiers like shot caller, classy, or surges to help. This took me 6 hours with LFG despite having no day 1s but we missed the 500k atraks 😭
I run Xeno with void on warlock to make bottom floor easier. Kill serviters faster, push tormentor down hole, everyone goes up elevators faster, and you get to solo bottom floor which means nobody but yourself can hit the wrong atraks.
During final stand just make sure to kill the adds that spawn or if your really need the extra point then take down the second tormentor before you finish the boss
@@IvyDoomsday yes. I worded it weird. I mean that you can do it in 1 shot with Forerunner, as opposed to snipers, which can be 2 shots (also worse ammo and fire rate)
Doing add clear with Sunshot also means you have Shot Caller up pretty much all the time - and Shot Caller gives a pretty hefty amount of damage reduction. I swear incoming damage during mechanics on Macrocosm felt lower this week than it did last week despite the power delta being higher. That and the solar surge also make it insane for Nez add clear (especially because Cabal are so fat that their explosion radius is enormous) and in general I felt like surviving -20 Pantheon Nez was *dramatically* easier than surviving day one contest Nez for the add clear and runners alike in spite of the new enemies. I did the buff buddy/add clear in our clear and found Mountaintop to be absolutely amazing. You can easily laterally MT jump across the middle at the start to close the distance and get to your side with enough time to kill everything and then hit the big boy with a x10 Recombination shot after breaking his shield with a solar melee to debuff him. Anyone that's done TF2 rocket jumping should be able to do it as easily as breathing, and it's a super super fun way to do an encounter where both aspects of MT as a movement tool and burst damage tool get used for the same job.
My team found a pretty good strategy on atraks where you put one titan on bubble with helm of saint-14, you put a bubble on the atraks scanner points out, and it gives the whole fireteam obrs for surge, weapons of light, and lets you fire parasite and supers at melee range without self destructing, we managed to put atraks to final stand using this
My team 3 phased nez where we did the “aztecross” strat (prob not his strat just who I saw it from first) of someone holding nez at bottom of his spawn platform (I.e. where he jumps off when you grab hatred) with lament + strongholds + a well for added survival and the other 5 people stood on his spawn platform for dps. Definitely not optimal but probably the most consistent 3 phase if you don’t want to “cheese” with the cave spot or off of map spot. We got high score still with it being a 3 phase because there is some hidden bonus from either beating the whole thing in the same run or just having beat any encounter before nez
our team actually brought Marsilion-C for nez and explicator since a lot of us didn't own cataphracts, and fought nez dead center of the arena and it was the easiest 2 phase of our lives, one damage phase brought him down to the C in Nezarec, it was great
We ignored the torm on planets this week and opted to tractor suppress or blind it before I threw down the well, but it's definitely worth killing if it gives you trouble
This might sounds crazy, but my team started dps in the sloped tunnel to the right of Nez’s stage, and then when he teleported on top of us around the halfway mark we would walk out of the tunnel and put a second well down out in the open floor and finished dps there 😅
Congrats on getting Godslayer Llama! You definitely deserve it😁😁 Tried with a couple friends and lfg people and unfortunately we couldn't get past planets.. Hopefully my attempt today yields more positive results and progress 😅😅
I fully LFGed pantheon and got Godslayer! It was fine until Nezarec. Annoying is an understatement. Especially working with people you don’t know. Hyped for the title though!
Just mainly wanted to point out after all this that strand titan exists. And not in the sense that 'oohh yeah super big grapple melee' but in the sense that Banner of War is still broken out the ass and for some reason is still allowed to heal you and all nearby allies. This combined with the busted melee damage makes a lot of things that are normally pretty scary a breeze (combined with the strand woven mail). Main example so far my group has is Explicator being done in 2 phases easy due to stacking banner to the max 30 seconds, then starting DPS, having it pulse and keep use alive through all the tornados as we transitioned. (Me as the banner also was one of the lower plates, so I'd constantly be running across the lower section healing everyone as I went). This also drastically lowers the threat of the tormentors as your melee cooks them on top of applying Sever, making them do drastically less on top of you melting them quickly. Very much recommend at least one strand titan, if not more than that by the time you hit Ruhlk and Nezy. Being able to just instakill high value targets is very helpful.
Final shape gonna replace those with strand warlocks and void titans. Yea I said void titan. Just combine shield throw with swapping between helm and doom fangs to get instant damage buffs, super energy, overshield, etc
So far the biggest issues my team had was Golgy would not turn to look at the Gaze Holder, so we spent about an hour on that alone which was awful. When we were actually able to get him turning towards the damage dealers we got it first try. Planets was brutal just for the fact that you can’t really mess up this time around. I was losing it because I was able to barrel stuff the lieutenants last week, but you can’t really this week. After the miserable struggle on planets though we got Atraks and Oryx done first try. we stopped on rhulk for the time being, but we’ll get it done. It was just exhausting starting off the run with Golgy like that
Me and my team were actually doing really well on Nez and if we could survive longer and get heavy, but having B.S happen (such as Nez choosing to chill in the middle of the map rather than the spot I dragged him to) is what really killed the runs.
My team has found that just leaving a single Strand Titan to deal with the tormentors is effective, because they can be afflicted with Stasis and Strand debuffs in Pantheon
For my team the activity was fearly easy, the probleam came in planets we spend around 2 hours there, and we got surprised in riven it went down on the 3rd attempt
Got high score in every encounter every week except for the final Nez. Can't find a single team that can survive until dps 2 and have spent over 15 hours in that encounter alone. I feel like it's just time to give up, which is a shame after doing the work in everything else 😩
My team has been having trouble on planets mainly due to the fire tornados that spawn on plates, theyre just so random. Any advice on those or is it truly luck?
Prob worth mentioning this gonna be vaulted when Final Shape drop its gonna be awesome hearing the little kids an grown adults cry 😭 when it gets vaulted.
What class combination did you use? Idk how to convince my fireteam titan sucks and 3 hunters 3 warlocks is the way to go. Atm were 2 2 2 but its pretty mid like that in my opinion
Does shot caller always proc on 3 bullets? If so, it'd be a lot faster to proc that wirh an automatic weapon rather than a handcannon, so it'd be nice to plan accordingly
Is Atraks platinum a large roadblock for other teams? I spent 4 hours in Pantheon yesterday, with 2 hours of that time being spent on Atraks alone. Since you have to kill every enemy on the bottom floor and 1/2 floor if you want Platinum as far as I'm aware, there was always issues with someone either dying and losing their Parasite/Star-Eater stacks, groups taking too long to kill their enemies to the point where damage auto-started, or not having people make it down to bottom to finish Atraks off in time. We cleared it after about an hour and a half of attempts in hopes that it was enough for platinum, but we got around 499,100 points, so we had to circle back to it for 30 minutes after we cleared the rest of the Pantheon. Golgoroth, Caretaker, Explicator, and Oryx were all first try encounters, Rhulk took a couple of tries to figure out the damage strategy this week, Riven took two or three tries, and Nezarec took a handful as well, but nothing came close to Atraks for us.
For Atraks just have everyone run Thundercrash Titan, even without arc surge that, Parasite, and Lament follow up for final stand makes it free. Got it plat second try. Run Successions or something for the Tormentor
Tis a shame that Rhulk is chessable as its hands down the hardest encounter to get the godslayer title as it would be the damage check block for most groups
Can you please help me? I have done the first 2 weeks. But I don’t have a team to play with for the fourth week and I don’t know all the roles. 6 out of 8 encounters I know 2 rolls, and in Oryx I can do any roll.
Is there an audio queue or anything on the top floor telling you when to shoot Riven’s 6 eyes? If you shoot the eyes too early does your damage window end?
why use div on planets boss when u have 6 solar classes? You could be doing extra dmg with ur rocket. I know u two phased it with div but that extra dmg might be helpful for other teams who wanna get a 2 phase.
Hey llama. At Explicator, Apex with Bipod, Explosive Light, or Bait and Switch? I've ran all three but can't decide which is best. Bipod is 4 rockets a plate. Explosive Light is 2-3 rockets with bonus damage on all plates. Bait and Switch is highest damage buff but with tight timing. Thank you
You don't get one shot by virtually anything at -20 if you have the correct resistances. On the dance floor I run concussive, melee, and solar. On the hyper beam concussive and solar should proc. On the melee all 3 should proc. Other tip being if you are airborne you seem to take less damage from his melee's (and can float above the beam) so if he's about to dash towards you either dash/slide through him or jump away at a right angle. I don't know of any inherent damage resist from icarus but as it's quickly moving you out of his area effect, and you have to be airborne to use it, both should help reduce the damage you're taking
For explicator damage phase, why is Divinity used alongside rockets? Rockets obviously don't benefit from the precision bubble, but is the damage buff really still worth it?
I had it for the tormentor and just decided to keep it on for damage, it was a 2 phase regardless so didn't really matter. Another commenter said they used blinding nades for the tormentor which could work better but we just preferred to kill it.
FYI divinity is not a damage buff when considering full fireteam damage. 5 people dealing damage + div is equivalent to 5.75 people dealing damage, plus a little bit more for the actual div damage itself, so it basically evens out. Div is only a crit bubble, the debuff just makes up for the fact that one person isn't dealing damage. If you've already got it on then might as well, like Llama did, but that's the only reason besides easier crits.
They're all 500k, the time bonus gives you 300K+ (I think it's probably falling from 500k to begin with). There's a thing with the final boss of the pantheon where if you've defeated previous bosses (in that specific raid) it'll add a completion bonus on. On the previous week's this was why you could 3 phase Rhulk but this week you're likely going to Have to 2 phase him.
Pre final shape pantheon month with builds and different damages and strats each week is like the best destiny has ever been it’s been damn awesome.

Watching this after getting god sayer.
Got it already, not very hard with a dedicated team, good luck to anyone trying!!
Nez is gonna be a nightmare on through lfg.
What was the Caretaker well setup?? Helmet ... Apotheosis?
Yes it was Apotheosis Veil
@@LlamaD2 Thanks for the reply! Will be using that for some burst for sure
Love the video my team and i got a smooth 2 fase on thr branch on dark side
Well done!
pantheon and LFG (yes, I don't have friends nor clan) is breaking my soul and willing to play the game anymore XD
I'm so close I just need Week 4 plat Rhulk and Planet than Week 3 Planet and Artaks I'm really hoping this will get me through
My team has been having trouble on planets mainly due to the fire tornados that spawn on plates, theyre just so random. Any advice on those or is it truly luck?
The boss makes a noise indicating when a tornado spawns, but other than that just be on lookout
Cataphrat is an amazing option aswell i recommend that if u have it
Lament on nezarec is a massive strat
We tried but didn't find much success but am willing to go again
We did it with 2 wellicht and 1 bubble using la ments or hunters with gold tusk and it 2 phased like a charmmm@@LlamaD2
@@LlamaD2u just need a crap tone of wells, i did it earlier
Prob worth mentioning this gonna be vaulted when Final Shape drop its gonna be awesome hearing the little kids an grown adults cry 😭 when it gets vaulted.
fr, the lfg group i was in decided to use it on our last run as we were getting tired and it was so much easier then anything lmao
Why sleeper over cataclysmic? Just ease of use not having to worry about bait and switch?
What class combination did you use? Idk how to convince my fireteam titan sucks and 3 hunters 3 warlocks is the way to go. Atm were 2 2 2 but its pretty mid like that in my opinion
yeah 3 warlock 3 hunter is pretty good, you have a balance of good damage and good survivability, tell your friends that haha
nezzy lament damage huge this week shoutout
Does shot caller always proc on 3 bullets? If so, it'd be a lot faster to proc that wirh an automatic weapon rather than a handcannon, so it'd be nice to plan accordingly
Yes it does and you're right
Any particular reason you weren't running surge mods during DPS?
do riven first
Nez second
planets third
Rhulk fourth
and then the rest in any order
Pantheon Riven and nez SHOULD implemented to normal
Great video bud how do i find a team to do from start to finish this ??????
Try using the D2LFG server or join mine discord.gg/llamad2 and use our LFG channel!
Ok i will try your discord maybe i can join you D2 lfg i dont do pure madness LOL
@@LlamaD2 tried your discord no one om it only trying to charge me is it a scam bud should i set up 1 ?
Soooo what’s the highscore for caretaker? Because apparently 468k is not enough 😑
Question for Rhulk 5x Sleeper and 1x Div will be good?
Yes very good!
I think a guide on how to do riven legit would be good. Since most people do not know how to
Tis a shame that Rhulk is chessable as its hands down the hardest encounter to get the godslayer title as it would be the damage check block for most groups
Can you three phase nezarec and get platinum?
I don't think so, pretty sure it has to be a 2 phase
Why did you choose sleeper instead of whisper on the last encounter. Does he move around too much even with someone down there babysitting him?
You have to stay scoped in the entire time with Whisper which is a little more restrictive
@@LlamaD2 thanks!
Can you get platinum score for a 3 phase on planets, rhulk and Nez?
I'm not entirely sure sadly
Got it last night at 3am straight torture but worth
Can you please help me? I have done the first 2 weeks. But I don’t have a team to play with for the fourth week and I don’t know all the roles. 6 out of 8 encounters I know 2 rolls, and in Oryx I can do any roll.
Not gonna lie, div on planets is kind of questionable
Is there an audio queue or anything on the top floor telling you when to shoot Riven’s 6 eyes? If you shoot the eyes too early does your damage window end?
People normally shoot eyes when her mouth closes
@@LlamaD2 Thanks very much for responding! That is what I noticed from watching a few different videos but glad I have confirmation now!
If anyone is up for riven please let me know it’s not hard let me know then we can talk forward from there
This is indeed quite hard
Thumbnail on point
i play on steam and my mic turned of i try turnit on but it instanly goes of i cant even find an oryx week 3 lfg
why use div on planets boss when u have 6 solar classes? You could be doing extra dmg with ur rocket. I know u two phased it with div but that extra dmg might be helpful for other teams who wanna get a 2 phase.
It was more just to make sure the tormentor died easily
@@LlamaD2 you can always switch to a diff weapon during dps
How the absolute fuck am I gonna do this, no idea, but I'm damn well gonna try
Theres time to 3phase plat on planets?
Does Nezarack need to be done within the tike to get platinum? I have heard frok people you dont is this true?
I believe it does
Nezzy is still so janky, very unenjoyable. Other than that this week is fairly free
Completely agree
Llama is locked in
WAIT…U CAN PROC SHOTCALLER ON IMMUNE BOSS??? 1:50
Yes
@@LlamaD2 that is huge!!!
Thank you
BnS all the way
At 1:57 what was your build for the dps ?
For the person hold Nez attention any recommendation on loadout? Are they doing damage as well or just holding aggro
Our guy used Lament because he was so close
My problem being I wanna get the title & the group i’ve been doing it with doesn’t & just wants the clear
Do you get damage resist when Icarus dashing or does rhulk not one shot when -20?
You don't get one shot by virtually anything at -20 if you have the correct resistances.
On the dance floor I run concussive, melee, and solar. On the hyper beam concussive and solar should proc. On the melee all 3 should proc.
Other tip being if you are airborne you seem to take less damage from his melee's (and can float above the beam) so if he's about to dash towards you either dash/slide through him or jump away at a right angle.
I don't know of any inherent damage resist from icarus but as it's quickly moving you out of his area effect, and you have to be airborne to use it, both should help reduce the damage you're taking
What would be good recommendations for titans? I don’t have my warlock and my hunter with good builds or stats.
Pyrogale titan or arc titan
Strand/Solar/Arc but Strand will give you best neutral game and survivability
@@LlamaD2 That makes sense, I guess there's no need to min-max when you've got it anyway
So what's the point thresholds for rhulk and nezzy, the others are relatively fine to get plat on, those two just seem quite tight
Believe all are 500k? Could be wrong...
@@minkernator we two phased both of them regardless so it was fine
I keep getting teammates who just wanna be add clear….
"The changes to riven make this really hard"... you mean just having to do her legit?
