This is Part 1 of the FS Recorder Tutorial. Check out all of the amazing things you can do with this great freeware addition you your Flight Simulator.
Of course, like anything else, it takes practice to learn how to use it. However, when you first replay you first saved recording, you'll never put this program down!

after i run the 'setup', it says finished but there is no icon for it on my computer. PLEASE HELP!!!

@TheGreatFlyer What Windows version are you using? XP, Vista, 7...Those are operating systems. There is also Mac (made by Apple) and various Linux versions.

Excellent tutorial.. you are a 'natural' with video tutorial - very consise, relaxed but interesting and very sooth easy listening voice and enthusiasm - I really enjoyed. I saw the menu up top where you said something about Add-Ons, so I want to know how to get that to come up. It's at the top of the screen and you can change stuff like scenery and all kinds off things... how do you get that to pop up?

hey if your recording in multiplayer and you cant play it within the session and you save it as an FRC, whats the best program for playback?

@ThePilotBuddy I think what you need to change is when you go into "Record", you need to check the "Record AI traffic" also. That should fix it.

oh, one more question, how do you hide the bar showing that you are currently recording?
You can use the cameras in place as normal, or even place your own for amazing shots!

Mine doesnt work, it installs and a message comes up and says it is not recommended to run it, if i press yes, FSX crashes?

Can you change the camera view when playing the replay?
PLEASE REPLY !!!!! when i install the FS Recorder it went smoothly but when i tried opening then playing FSX i couldn't find the "add on" button where the FS recorder thing is located

Welcome Much - keep up the good work ! - 'build it and they will come' If 'they' tear it down - build it again ! i am looking forward to more of your videos - as far as the FS Recorder goes - it really is for FS 2004 or X - several of addon's available that claim compatibility with FS 2004only have worked with my FS2002 - but FS Recorder means what it says about FS2004 only - I couldn't get it 'rigged' up to work with FS2002

I have a problem everytime i render when the plane touches down i dont see the spoilers and the reverse thrust why does this happen?

im doing everything right like in this video and when i load up fsx i dont see the addons tab on the bar..and i see is the default stuff and my fspassangerX

hello, i am an fs recorder user but when i record i have a problem. When im recording i fly and land fine and i set it to record AI. When i play back it plays that AI but also the active AI as if i werent playing back. For Example : I land a plane and an a330 is holding short of the runway, but when i play back, it will show the plane holding short but also the plane taking off and it gets in my way and my recording looks bad. Please help me!!! thank you!

How can I take the video I recorded and put it on RUclips if I can?
No, it records the flight, so you can replay it, but it does not record movie files. You can use fraps to record the playback off of FS as a movie file.
Thanks for this tutorial. I have FSX Steam version (hot happy with that) and I downloaded FS recorder but no luck. Is the problem having Steam? Thanks., Dave R

Carefully read the Manual Installation section in the ReadMe file in the ZIP that you download.

hey could you please make a video tutorial on how to record ai traffic, cause when i want to record aitraffic it is never recording it
the camera angle thing is what i wanted to know about
ok i downloaded fs recorder and before fs starts it asks me if i allow it to run and i said yes;this is a sign that it has installed correctly. but when i play there is no add-on option in the toolbar and i dont know why. i repaired and re-installed a few time but nothing helped.

I need help with FS Recorder, everytime I try to use play. It keeps reloading itself as if I just click the Fly now button repeatedly.The simulator is running, but after a second or less (litterally) it reloads. I have REX2.0, Ultimate Traffic 2, and PMDG 747 and they never messed up before :( Please help

I've successfully installed fs recorder on my laptop, but it is not showing in my fsx. I cannot see any add-on tab in my game. I need help.

friend looks I record a video with fs recorder and will not let me upload it in youtube that is a fcr file can help me with that
you need to re - record your video with a program like fraps
how did you add that other aircraft at 6:34
they are 2 ways to do it 1 is you play the other airplane as ai and you fly next too it or you go advance play and select the replay and cop aircraft select what model you want you cope of aircraft to be you can do this with many airplanes as you want they all can be different colors and models if you want

Neither do I own Active Camera nor do I have any experiences with it. I'll keep it in mind for a later tutorial though.

Please read the annotation at the start of the video.
The view modes are the same as in normal flight.
how do i play the records in half speed?
