Wonderful story, wonderful music
I finally decided to read the fic, for whatever reason waiting a while even after its completion. Completed it in four days.
I teared up a little for many of the chapters... but at the end of chapter 19 and throughout 20 I was just bawling. MLD has nothing on it.
I feel so different about life. I can't explain it. No other piece of literature I've read has come close to the emotional impact this has had on me. This music fits so perfectly with the hollow emptiness. It's how I feel...

I am aware i'm 9 years late but i totally agree, i've been reading the fic for proberbly neering 4 months (4 days how?! haha) and just compleated the final chapter today, crying meloncholy tears as I sat in the college cafe. Something about the fic just grounded me, gave me the new outlook and determination i needed in life and something to look forward to at the end of the day. This is also the most any book has impacted me emotionally, i think due to the real connection it made me establish looking out at the world through Lyras eyes, especially with how relatable some parts were and the nights i'd turn off the kindle and gently sob both happy and sad to sleep.
The best book i've ever read. If i had to sum it up, Powerfull, Grounding and Soul-wrenching.

Inspired by this video, I laid aside 'Project Horizons' and started reading BP. And I was crying already on the second chapter. In comparison, it took Somber a thousand pages to make the same effect. So deep and touching questions for a fanfiction book.
Project Horizons is just as beautiful and deep if not more!

incredible, it is it's very length that allows it to portray such wonderful storytelling!
Never before have I heard something that so completely entranced me, and yet left me bewildered without any precise memory, much akin to the story itself. With the soulful tones lighting the stage, the drumming march of time begins, and Lyra's harp strings attempt to overwhelm despair and time itself, just to let an impression of her be heard. Finishing the scene, the piano marks her innumerable attempts to find something, some anchor, some pony, to remember her. And yet, having been halfway through this epic accompanied by this haunting refrain alone, it has become comforting, the solid foundation upon which I've rested my sorrows and narrow outlooks to see the world in a truly appreciative light.
Why i didn't comment this is beyond me. This is beautiful dude, and this is one of the songs that motivated me to make my own BP track, so thanks for that :3

I love the amount of ambient bass you tend to put in your music, especially this one. Those few moments without that deep thrum have a lot of strength to them just because of its normally overpowering, yet somehow subtle presence. Or maybe that's just my headphones vibrating.

This song is hauntingly beautiful. The way it effervesces cold feelings of loneliness and despair fit the story perfectly. And the way it fades out at the end... just amazing.

Well, I've never read the story, but the music absolutely paints the picture of an ever-wandering, unremarkable pony, drifting on without a home. The entrance of the snare drums around 0:45 especially give that feel of an insubstantial being, and though I normally don't like repetitive motifs making up the entire song, it works very well here, and there's a spectacular amount of variety in the background that brings the whole piece to life.

I thought the same would happen with my two best friends after I finish school and move away for a further away high school ( to be fair it wasn't that far away it was just hard to keep in touch), then I showed them the show and at first they laughed a little, but then, they started watching it as well and now we're closer then ever due to this amazing show, fandom and community you might, wanna share the information a bit sooner just in case there is still hope left for them being your friends
