GHOST may also supply us mortal servants with our earthly needs, like Shrek movies and weed. GHOST may even give their most loyal servants an occasional hug. While GHOST's servants are up in heaven, them will give the mortals one last chance to repent to GHOST and become a servant, and after that, GHOST will obliterate the entirety of earth, killing all GHOST haters and the GHOST servants will live a happy eternity in GHOST's laundry room and doing cool and fun things with GHOST like watching scooby-doo, little bill, and south park. Alright! Time to make an extremely long winded theory about the song.
As most people say, this song is about a stalker, but this is more from the beginning of a stalker's obsession. I think "Found on May 15th" is the exact day they came in contact with the object of their obsession, and this quickly turned into an unhealthy infatuation where the person would constantly stalk their victim. Knowing that this was wrong, the stalker would convince themself "this isn't me" but slowly, they went down a dark path, marking every day they stalked their victim, taking pictures of them, and just overall invading their privacy.
This person that they were stalking COULD have been their friend, because the stalker constantly worries that their victim might see them in the wrong way, and also, how would the stalker get close enough to get pictures of the victim's face?
But basically out of circumstance, the victim enters the stalker's room and sees all the pictures on the wall, and all the signs that this person had been stalking them, and finds the diary. they try to escape, but the stalker finds them, and probably lights the house on fire to kill the victim and erase the evidence.
One thing I find interesting is that instead of using fly on the wall as a title, GHOST used SPIDER on the wall.
Spiders trap their victims in webs, asphyxiate them (the smoke from the fire,) and eat them. It gives a sense of danger and urgency to the song.
BUT yeah. those are my thoughts. Probably completely off. Sometimes blue is just blue, and sometimes a spider is just a spider.

At first, I really struggled to weasel out the meaning of this song, but as some people have been alluding to and looking at the background art more closely I can see that it is about stalking.
"Spider on the Wall" rather than "Fly on the Wall" is an interesting choice, and this can be explained by the fact that a spider can not only observe, but also entrap and kill and is not passive. This can mean that the spider, in this case, is a hunter moving in for the kill.
"This isn't me" is the expression that the stalker does not think that they are being a stalker, and is hiding this information from their victim. "lock the diary so you don't know" the victim they are stalking is much closer than a stranger, perhaps a friend or a family member or acquaintance.
"I pray you'll never see me" the stalker has crossed many boundaries, and probably left some evidence behind of their stalking and knows that they've made a mistake that can cause it all to come crashing down.
As for the art, we see white rectangles littered on the walls, which may represent photos or information that the stalker has been stockpiling. We also see a large, prying eye looking through the window as if the stalker has made some pretty risky moves to observe their prey.
Finally, as we look at the two girls, we see that one is recoiling away from the other. A stalker is delusional, thinking that their victim actually loves them similar to how we see the girl in red is smiling neurotically as she has made a connection with her victim. The girl in blue has a look of disgust and skin that appear to be webs, she has been caught by the stalker and is frightened.
*Pretty much the moment where a delusional stalker is tipping into the deep end and is willing to do anything to get their way, even if it means entrapping their victim, like a fly in a web.*

I got the literal chills from the lyrics in this song. Gave me a real impression that the "spider on the wall" (think of the term "fly on the wall") was a metaphor, and this is actually about stalking or an abusive relationship. Or both. From what I can tell most of the comments seem to think this is about a stalker but I always thought this was about an overbearing parent, one who never gives the kid any privacy, who reads their diaries and texts messages in secret so they always know what their kid is doing. But when the kid finds out their boundaries mean nothing and they have no privacy they flip and will never see their parent in the same way, like with the line "Please don’t think of me forever in the wrong way”
Theres also a lot of lines that could imply the kid is pretending to be someone else at home, to be the good kid their overbearing parent wants them to be, and when they find out their kid isn't who they thought it changes / escalates things. Like in the lines at the end about pictures, like hanging photos of the sweet kid they used to be
Of course this is just my theory / interpretation, I could be wrong and everyones welcome to think about it their own way (unless ghost says what the song is actually about). Just wanted to put my thoughts out there

Commenting this on March 15th because today I learned about the Ides of March in my Latin I class.
On March 15th, 44 BC, Julius Caesar was assassinated. This became known as the Ides of March. In the Shakespeare play, Caesar was warned by a soothsayer to “beware the Ides of March”.
Shortly after learning this, I remembered that March 15th is mentioned in this song. I'm not sure if March 15th was picked for any particular reason, but it has led me to suspect that the event of the date somehow corresponds to the theme of Spider on the Wall.

I've been staring the background picture and I've noticed that the twisted girl (the girl who looks scared and confused) don't have iris, meanwhile in the background in the window you can see an eye with multiple iris staring at the one with none.
The blonde girl, who is avoiding being touched by the twisted girl, matches with the room theme colors too, while the other looks different.
