Some people were curious about why the moon lord cheese works so here's why. Basically, moon lord has line of sight to you so the laser doesn't go through the blocks, but block gap isn't wide enough for the laser to fit through. We got this strategy from TheHaboo's old world record and it's pretty cool!
EDIT: Again, because the moon lord can see us, the beam doesn’t go through the blocks. It normally will in 1.14, but we built the structure in a way that it won’t

For anyone who doesn’t follow Terraria, The Axe is the red electric guitar dropped at 11:21. It’s a 1/50 chance in Classic mode.

Having an Axe drop on my first try with planterra happened to me and I didn’t think anything of it until I was looking at one of those game progression trees hours later and saw it was a 2% drop. The game somehow knows if you’re looking for something and then gifts the ignorant with ridiculous luck

Terraria ia amazing, i could say that it is better than Minecraft in some ways, but i think pvp mode and steal the gem should be more played, i tested both and i loved both

The destroyer could’ve been done much easier. What you neeed to do is get one blast proof block and set it up very far from any other block so he can only spawn there. Then you can put a ton of dynamite there and time it so as soon as he spawns he gets blown up. This will hit all of his segments at once if times right and kill him almost instantly
excalibur also could do this but would be just a little more unsafe

The Hallow spawning in the Jungle is one of the saddest parts of this run.

You have no idea. The crimson decides to spawn in the exact middle of my jungle life fruit has been a pain, and to get to the place to farm for souls of night I need to face the turtles
@@Splatoonspyronext time you want to farm souls, you can grab pearlstone/crimstone and dig out a circular hole in the cavern layer, fill it with some of the evil biome blocks in the middle and keep it away from normal stone, this makes it so the area plays the "hallowed", or "corrupted" music so any enemy there can drop souls now.
Gotta love that The Axe drop from Plantera during the run

I find it funny how much they struggled with golem and lunatic cultist which are typically some of the easiest required bosses in the run
Yeah, why didn't they just circle around the cultist instead of being in front of it's attacks.
I always thought golem was a little difficult.
But with some honey they're a breeze.
Plantera is easier in my opinion though.
@jjbell-ri3km Plantera??? What difficulty are you playing on? On master I can kill golem with Hallowed armor and a shot bow but plantera I usually have to use chlorophyte or turtle
@@emerealm3779 Even on master plantera is a joke, the floating spores can be destroyed before they can ever hit you, so a weapon with a large hitbox trivializes them, in first phase all you have to do is run circles around Plantera to dodge its shots, and of course, you should have poison immunity in case you do get hit.
Now for phase 2, you should obviously avoid touching the mouth since the contact damage is absurdly high, so you'll probably run away as far as possible, but that is a mistake, because the farther away you are from Plantera, the faster it speeds up and the faster it moves, paradoxically making it harder to avoid the farther away you are from it, the trick is to stay relatively close to it, this way, plantera will move towards you slower, and you will have an easier time dodging.

Never in my life have I needed to see something so good, and yet never realized I needed to.
This run was great, I'm normally not a fan of multiple commentators in vids if I don't know them all but with you two being separated it was easy to keep track of and alot of fun, probably one of my favorite runs to date
I'm so used to watching the PBG Hardcore Terraria seasons where the Eye is the first boss seeing you both run to Skeletron first is very unsettling.
But the eye would be a waste of time, though. Nothing the eye drops preps as good as their chosen strategy required. I'm just surprised they didn't spawn in the munitions expert go gunner class. Guns are far more efficient than bows
seeing how easy classic mode is after only playing expert or master for years is weird
Once you've played the harder difficulties for a while and you switch to normal mode it feels like you are invincible.

Edit: 6:33 He didn't drop the clockwork assault rifle he dropped the laser rifle and the clockwork assault rifle requires ammo but the laser rifle doesn't and just requires mana
the clockwork/laser rifle really doesnt matter because they're both pretty mid in a speedrun

Me after 6 hours: i finally beat the eater of worlds
Lunatic cultist glitch: if you make a platform just under the dungeon ceiling, only a few attacks can hit you (I.E. Ice shards + stars). Just need weapons that'll go through the wall!
Imagine if you were playing on 1.4 and you actually had to dodge the moon lord death ray instead of blocking it

@@D_man69 i think that the laser didnt go through the blocks is because they are using a glich so that moonlord detects them not being under a block so the laser doesnt go through.

Not even in expert+, for shame! I'm kidding, this game is soooooo fun and i'm glad you guys decided to run Terraria. I think this game is in my top 3 for most time spent playing. I've been playing it since release and it's always so fun
you shouldve went into the caves to find a gravitational potion, then use it to find skylands in hopes of a starfury.
if you DO find it, use it to kill eye of cthulu for the shield of cthulu. (optional) find your worlds ice biome and head on over to the dungeon in the direction of the ice biome. find the old man, wait till night, summon skeletron. and keep spamming the starfury's charge attack on a long arena. this should save around 25-45 seconds if done correctly.
Heres whats going on:
In the source code, there's a class named "Tile" designed to store details about each tile, like its type and frame. Interestingly, the class doesn't directly include an "x" and "y" position. Instead, these positions are computed while iterating through a 2D array containing these "Tile" objects.
Through some clever mathematical calculations, rendering begins at the "cameraX" position and goes up to "cameraX + windowWidth" horizontally, and similarly for the vertical axis.
This takes up a load of ram, but not a lot of cpu power.

Idk if anyone else has said it, but the items you get from the dungeon chests are pre-generated. I don't remember the exact order, but they have a set order in which they will spawn. If you learn the order, you can skip to the chests that are more likely to contain the item you're looking for!
Dont remember it compleatly either, but I know the first 2 are cobalt shield and muramasa

But you can also just fish for it in the dungeon

I discovered Terraria on mobile several years ago, when it's versions were really behind compared to the PC version. I grinded the game so much, I really loved it. I eventually found a duplication glitch and from there on, tried all possible armors, weapons etc. But the Pumpkin Moon was really a challenge. Later, Duke Fishron came and it needed a couple of tries but after a while I got all it's drops.
That game is simply incredibly cool!
although most people are of the opinion it takes most of the fun out of RNG and the speedrunning aspect, i think Journey Mode speedruns are absolutely incredible, especially in multiplayer where consolidating key resources for one person to research and then dupe for the partner is an added variable to keep track of.
on top of that, it means you can get ABSURD builds relatively early on and just shred through the game at breakneck pace. and that's what speedruns are about, after all!

Okay, really quick funny misinformation fix:
It is stated that "bosses get more difficult in multiplayer" in this video.
THIS IS NOT TRUE in base Terraria. The only time ANYTHING will scale in multiplayer is if you are playing with Expert or Master world difficulty, which was NOT used in this video.
There were also a few other discrepancies but they were passable and not repeated multiple times in the video, so I'll live.
No mention on the ax drop which is the rarest drop from plantera. Sage
Just for clarification, the dungeon is on the opposite side of the jungle and the snow biome is opposite to the desert
Actually the snow is also always on the opposite side of the jungle

For anyone who hasn’t played Terraria please go give it a try. The game is not expensive at all and you can easily get 1000 hours of enjoyment out of it, and that isn’t even counting the amazing modding scene that it has.
Not even the Nebula pillar can compare to the amount of psychic damage seeing those houses dealt.

No one is probably going to see this but to get a faster time the dungeon chest loot is set in an order. I cant remember what it is but you can use that to more or less get the shadow key in the first few chest and any other items that might be useful in routing
i live and breathed terraria from phone, to ps4, to now pc, every time its blast.
after being a hardcore fan of mc for over 9 years, I have truly become a bugger fan of terraria. i remember in grade 4 my friends all had terraria while i played minefraft and called it “2d minecraft” its just.. better then minecraft
more action, more weapons, more BOSSES
screw creativity, the only think that ive ever wanted in minecraft is good bosses, and terraria is basically all that. killing enemies and bosses.
mixed with its great visual effects (enhanced with mods) makes terraris just infinitely better for me then minecraft

The one reason i can't get into this game is the same as Minecraft, you need the wiki open in order to play.
The amount of times ive booted this up and had NO IDEA what to do is astounding.
