I just did a k24A swap on my 8th Gen just waiting on Flashpro. But the only sensor you have to change is the Crank sensor and the Vtec sensor behind the engine. Everything else just plug in and you can use the K24A crank pulley and need k20z3 oil pan and CRV post mount..but Everything else is direct plug in. All I'm waiting is for my Flashpro which is coming tomorrow brand new Bluetooth.

The vtec solenoid from k24 only has 1 plug cause the jdm motor doesn't use an oil pressure switch for vtec iirc. A usdm k24 would have both plugs I think.

I swapped my k20z3 to a K24A and it ran on its own for 15 or so seconds and cut the engine cut out now it won't start. Fuel is coming out of the fuel line and the engine has healthy compression on all four cylinders. I need to do a spark test. I was wondering if you encountered any of these issues. P.S. you're videos were a huge help when I was debating if I was going to perform the swap.

What’s up man. So I just got a k24a2. Doing a 20/24 but I’m getting conflicting information on something. With the z3 pan on the 24 block what oil pump and pick up are you running? Did you have to use the z3 oil pick up? Thanks man!
the best stock oil pump for your application is the fd2 type R oil pump. it has the extended pickup just like the stock z3 oil pump but is closer in design to the k20a2 rsx type s pump. do not use the type s pump because the pickup is not tall enough for the deeper z3 oil pan. its not worth the risk. use the RRC fd2 civic type r pump. its cheap and bolts right up.

Pier B nice man. It definitely is hard to find a clean z3 engine. If you do find a nicer k20z3, you’ll be paying top dollar for it too! Yup, you can run k24 off of k20 ecu and tranny

I'm doing alright, thanks for asking. I'm just going through some stuff here and there... The oil capacity barely changed, but the k24 will take a bit more. Anywhere from 5-5.5 quarts of oil is perfect. Hope this helps
@@TheGerbsteve yes it does help thanks. I too had to swap out my K24 pan to the K20 pan so the lower engine mount could be used. The problem I encountered was the K24 dipstick didn't quite fit so I'm using the K20 for now. I estimated the oil level and have used just over 5.5 quarts (5.2-5.3 litres) so thanks again on that one. Can I ask have you ever replaced the *fuel pressure regulator* ? ....... my dyno guy recommended I replace my fuel pump or filter as my engine was making no more power after 7K. I did what he said and we made 12whp more but he reckons its still dropping fuel pressure towards 7.4-7.5K .... good to hear you're alright Bro.

basically let’s the engine move forward up with the spacers and let’s the header clear better

I have the k24a. I just used z3 dowel pins and it bolted perfectly, no modifications.
What about the trans. Did they bolt right up ? I have an 07 as well that’s why I ask

on the oil cooler did you feed the block line thru the factory k20z3 fitting on the k24 RAA block without any work

Hey Gerb can I use the 50 degree intake camshaft in a K2.4A2 with out any valve to piston damages
You’ll be able to run 50 vtc, but I’d have your tuner set it lower just to be safe.

Either one is good really, but k24a is cheaper, I believe.

On another note, can you tell me did the OIL CAPACITY change when you used the Z3 pan?
I'm doing alright, thanks for asking. I'm just going through some stuff here and there... The oil capacity barely changed, but the k24 will take a bit more. Anywhere from 5-5.5 quarts of oil is perfect. Hope this helps
@@TheGerbsteve yes it does help thanks. I too had to swap out my K24 pan to the K20 pan so the lower engine mount could be used. The problem I encountered was the K24 dipstick didn't quite fit so I'm using the K20 for now. I estimated the oil level and have used just over 5.5 quarts (5.2-5.3 litres) so thanks again on that one.
Can I ask have you ever replaced the *fuel pressure regulator* ? ....... my dyno guy recommended I replace my fuel pump or filter as my engine was making no more power after 7K. I did what he said and we made 12whp more but he reckons its still dropping fuel pressure towards 7.4-7.5K ....
