  • Justin Chung was 17 years old when he was tried as an adult and given 82 years to life for a gang-related shooting. While in prison, he gave his life to Jesus and began taking World Impact's Church-Based Seminary classes through The Urban Ministry Institute. Justin sat down with us for a Q&A at the Testimony Ministries Reunion in Los Angeles.
    00:00 Introduction
00:13 "What was your life like before Jesus?"
00:51 "How did you meet Jesus?"
01:48 "How has Jesus changed your life?"
02:57 "What challenges are you currently facing?"
04:13 "How would you encourage someone who is currently in prison?"
04:44 "How would you encourage someone through the reentry process?"
05:15 "How did God use World Impact in your spiritual development?"
06:01 "Tell us about your experience at the first Testimony Ministries Reunion?"
07:01: "Is there anything else you would like to share?"
We believe that many church and ministry leaders are currently incarcerated, waiting to be empowered with resources and training. Visit this link to donate your support: worldimpact.org/donate

Dear Justin, pardon me if I hurt your feelings. You killed a man but by God's grace, your sentence was cut short. Even though you were in jail, God took care of you. If you truly believe in God, just pray you will accept whatever comes your way. We can never understand His plan for us. His plan and ways are higher than ours. Whether you get to stay in the US or whether you are (rightfully) deported to South Korea, God can use you mightily in either countries. You are very fortunate to have an aunt there who cares for you. Charles Colston went to jail for his crime; he not only became a Christian but served God faithfully till his death. My prayers are with you, that you will find peace in His will, not yours. He is faithful and will take care of your family wherever you end up in. Romans 5: 1 -11. We have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.
