I bought a harbor freight 30 inch version of this for $50. I like the shear and brake but having difficulty getting the roller to work well. The top roller pushes the release cam open and starts to come out.
2022-Thank you soooo much for making this video! I ordered the exact model and got a really good deal on mine, also. It was a little over $300. Anyway, mine came quickly, but it’s crate was smashed really badly and it had several bent handles, etc. The company agreed to send us a new one. It was stuck in China for a couple of months, but I finally got it. Anyway, I know nothing about this type of machinery. I have just started as a jewelry student, about a year ago. Could you possibly make a disassembly and reassembly video, for those of us who aren’t very mechanical? I’m dying to use mine, but I don’t want to mess it up. Also, thank you so much for your service and your family’s service. A lot of people have no idea how hard it is to be in the service, nor the sacrifices made by their family, when they are away.
The machines are really simple just keep track of where everything goes , I even made new bushings on mine to make it run even smoother. One thing I disagree on with this video is don't use anti seize for lubrication it cakes up just get some heavy lube like in a grease gun when when you grease it up and put it on anything that rubs machine will run much smoother
Just got a 24” Bolton 3 in one and this was a perfect instruction manual for it. I was scratching my head with all the parts and their manual was a complete waste of time. So thanks for the vid and your service. It’s because of guys like you that no matter what you want to know you can be sure you can find it on RUclips
Thanks for the video, wery useful.I purchased a similar tool today, paid 250€..It was a bargain 👍But noticed the same things, all bolts and screws were loose,so i had to adjust and tighten them them up.
Thanks for the video. Just got one brand new unopened in its wooden shipping crate yesterday off E-bay for $7.00! Free local 20 mile pick up. . It was a full moon tool score. Thanks for all your tips
interesting little demo there James, thanks for showing that off. i've been eyeballing one of those as well albeit from a different outfit (Stahlwerk) for finishing off my surface grinder and grinder pedestal cyclone projects. those things probably all come out of the same factory in china as they all look identical be they from grizzly, paulimot, bernado, shop fox etc... instead of using anti-seize compound, the proper lube for this thing would a molybdenum based lube. the anti-seize has a tendency to accelerate the wear of moving parts as it's designed to cut rust on threads when a screw or bolt are turned. cheers mike
Several factors come into play. Sharpness of blade, angle of the materials to the blade as well as type of materials being cut and length of the handle from center. The longer the handle the more leverage. Then lastly the strength of the person using it. Hope this helps.
Thank you for taking your time for this introductory video......one thing thou....that cover is going to affect the resale value years later. Lol guy shows up to buy it, sees no cover, well I can only give you $________ because you are missing the cover.
Cool video. Manufacturers of these suggest feeding roller material from the back. I find it’s easier to load that way. That anti-seize has copper abrasive in it for keeping threads smooth and cleaned out to prevent your nuts and bolts from galling. Although it is mostly grease, it is not grease or a grease substitute. Cool video thanks for sharing and taking the time to break down this down for us. Also, thanks for your service.
I finally found a great video on this 3in1 question 1is it still holding up? Second American rotory 3 phase controller vs vfd my question can you have speed control or does it require belt changes 🤔 unlike a vfd which allows speed control it's been a headache in general I inherited a mill trying to get it installed home hobbyists thank you for your videos
Good to see someone who understands that when you order something at a reasonable cost, and there might be some things missing or you don't like, if it's a good price, fix it yourself. It's a quality that is lacking in today's culture.
I know this video is a few years old but I bought a 40" 3 in 1 machine when I went through the machine I went crazy and made bronze oilite bushings and got rid of the steel bushings and now my machine runs silky smooth great machines once you go through them and make improvements
LOL my new one from harbor freight had a wood shipping crate that I told the the people putting it into my suv that beat up pos is not going into my truck because it was beat to crap and back.
12 inch does not sound that big but most projects I do are less than that I got the 30 inch but I am looking at this as well because of the portability.
cza3000 it's an import brand. I've bent 1/4" aluminum in the break and slip roll. The heaviest steel I've bent in it is 11ga but it was tough. The slip roll handles it well. Just have it clamped down and go easy with attaining the desired curve.
new to your channel. I enjoyed the video on the 3 in 1 slip roll, shear, & break. very informative. I would really like to thank you for your service in the military.
In the Netherlands the sell it under HBM 305 mm I assume? looks the same! www.hbm-machines.com/producten/hbm-305-mm-wals-zet-en-knipcombinatie Are you still happy with yours? Please let me know :)
Antiseize will cake up after time and the silver or copper color it is incredibly hard to clear off (color and cake) in time. Also, it works like lapping compound. Thanks for sharing the review in video.
This will look great in my apartment

Thanks. I’m a novice and the instructions the cane with it were pretty useless. I wondered what some of those parts were for. 👍
Your welcome. Any time!
Is it possible to roll a cone or are additional attachments needed?

Glad I was able to help.
Mine is so stiff, is there a brake ?
Borrowed phone mike nephew. Cool machine take care of yourself
Will do. Thanks
Excellent review of this product for layman. Thank you.
I'm struggling to cut metal in my machine. I've not exceeded the capacity and it's a struggle to cut. Why is this
Several factors come into play. Sharpness of blade, angle of the materials to the blade as well as type of materials being cut and length of the handle from center. The longer the handle the more leverage. Then lastly the strength of the person using it. Hope this helps.
Machine Mart sell these here in the UK

Yup. But at that point I probably wouldn't care.
Cool video. Manufacturers of these suggest feeding roller material from the back. I find it’s easier to load that way.

Your welcome!
Just aquird one of these and a laith mill combo with heaps of tooling can't wait to play this vid helped me a lot much appreciated
Your very welcome!
Thanks! Can this machine roll cones?
I believe it can with limitations. The smaller diameter is the same as the roller diameter
My experience with rolling cones is it’s all about the flat pattern blank. Cut it properly the frustum of a cone will happen.
Gee - your garage looks like mine. Thanks for the review!
That was at my old house. I have a bigger one now and it's just as packed full. Thanks for watching.

Would this struggle to bend 1.5mm steel?
Nope. I will do that just fine. All you need is the arm strength to do it!
LOL my new one from harbor freight had a wood shipping crate that I told the the people putting it into my suv that beat up pos is not going into my truck because it was beat to crap and back.
u're a great communicator..
Thank you very much.
Will it roll 3/8 steel rod
Yes
12 inch does not sound that big but most projects I do are less than that I got the 30 inch but I am looking at this as well because of the portability.
Thank you very much 😊
Yup
He said "i dont need a big one" 😂
What brand is this? can this bend 16 gauge steel
cza3000 it's an import brand. I've bent 1/4" aluminum in the break and slip roll. The heaviest steel I've bent in it is 11ga but it was tough. The slip roll handles it well. Just have it clamped down and go easy with attaining the desired curve.
Thanks! Can you send me a link where you purchased it ?
