Disclaimer I don’t have kids. However, I do know there aren’t a lot of books out there that talk about what it’s like after you have the baby. There’s tons of books about pregnancy and parenting, but it’s hard to find books on how to manage after you birth your baby. There are articles but it’s not the same as a paperback book.

I think a lot of that has to do with recent generations having a majority of "stay at home moms" vs. the past 20-30 years of dual-income households/single parent families gaining a large percentage of child-rearing families. By this I mean that moms used to have neighbours etc. in similar circumstances so it was all "word of mouth" (which seems kind of crazy these days) and it wasn't really put into written form and if it was it wasn't really popularized through sales numbers. Also, it's all very individualized based on circumstances these days. There's plenty of books like "The Second Shift" that talk about being a working mom that were published in the 1980s. Depends on what you are looking to "manage" as a new mom I guess.

Beck Cetera agreed. What I’m necessarily referring to is that you don’t see a lot of books about what it’s like the first few weeks after you have a baby. Like what will you experience, how to get through that part. Like I stated before there are tons of articles about it or even RUclips videos but not a hard cover book about it. Books on being a working mom and also parenting books are great. However, I do feel like when it comes to the motherhood journey nobody really prepares you for what that first night or day will be like.
