This chapter had me just as hyped as the entirety of the Gojo v Sukuna fight! I remember getting caught up to JJK back when Sukuna first revealed his one handed domain, and I was so happy reading the fights between the honored ones. And this chapter made me so happy to read!
I knew Megumi was going to do a drop Sukuna's foot into the shadows. It's very JJK for simple distractions to create vital openings

We’ve pretty much got confirmation that Yuji will be the sole survivor now, as he literally says “Well, it’ll be sad without you Fushigoro” and I’m convinced that that was Yuji giving Megumi the choice to be saved or not, and Megumi won’t. Imo, he’s using the last shreds of his soul to help Yuji out in this fight with his Bottomless Well technique as a way to say “Just because I don’t want to live anymore doesn’t mean you should die”. Also, with the finger: I’ve seen a few different choices of words about the translations regarding the last two pages those being like you said and the other being that Yuji reinforced his domain to outclass Sukunas instantly as Sukuna went to open his, and my theory to go along with that and the last panel is that once Yuji got done talking to Megumi and truly realized that it’s alright to let him go, he went sicko mode and swapped the technique imbued in his already active domain to a variation of shrine/his soul abilities and the finger in the panel is meant to represent Sukunas life being held by a thread, just as Yuji said “I have the ability to kill you”. He wanted to hear Fushigoros thoughts before going 100% all out, and as soon as he came to terms with Megumis choice, our one true MC let loose
There's still the chance nobara is alive, yuta coming back after his soul return to his body and Rika helping heal him, gojo returning after yuta leaves his body in good shape and megumi returning after sukina dies. (Don't mind me I'm overdosed on copiun atm)
@@axeldiaz404 Fair, but given all the info we have, particularly that pop up expo that revealed a lot about Geges work and thoughts with the whole Q&A bit, Nobara was killed off permanently in Shibuya, as well as Yuji having her in mind as one the handful of dead people when he was talking to Sukuna last chap. And you’re absolutely right about Yuta/Gojo, however same can be said about Gojo as with Nobara (the dead friends while talking to Sukuna) as well as the airport scene bidding farewell to the Strongest. Plus, Gege straight said a while back that out of the main 4, there will only either be one death, or only one alive, and seeing as Nobara and Gojo are 99% gone for good, this doesn’t spell too well for Megumi. The way I see this ending is Yuji becoming the next Gojo and taking over the Strongest mantle as well as the mentor that all the student sorcerers needed, there being a timeskip to showcase the future needed but yeah. Plus, good ole Gege hasn’t been that forgiving to us as to sorta Disney their way into a “happy” ending for JJK, so my money is on Yuji being the sole survivor

He’s almost begging Fushiguro to get up, he’s saying “everyone’s gone, if you also leave, I’ll be alone.” I don’t think yuji would go all this way to just say “oh I guess Megumi just doesn’t wanna live, everyone died up until now, lemme just kill him now.” Idk just feels wrong and a waste, he’s giving Megumi the choice your completely right and I think Megumi chose to fight that’s why he uses his technique ❤❤

In this chapter Yuji finally realised that people are different from him and he can't expect the same outcomes to certain situations from others just because he thinks they are best for the situation

It was a push for Megumi to wake up and not let Yuji be alone after all the shit he went through
Okay. I know the Nobara copium is going around right now, but if she is going to do the resonate to Sukuna's fingers, THIS IS THE LAST CHANCE for it. And Yuji's missing fingers is potentially the key/answer for it.
"But didn't Rikka eat the last finger" , _They never stated that she ate Sukuna's finger, and we should not forget that, there is another individual that also has cleave/dismantle as their cursed technique._
My theory is, that they kept Sukuna's last finger, and Rikka actually ate a part of Yuji instead to get the cleave/dismantle instead, this is because at the end of the chapter, _Yuji is missing fingers on his left hand._
This series will end with 19/20 of Sukuna's soul being utterly destroyed, and I suspect that Yuji will be his eternal prison, utterly powerless to do anything about it, which fulfills Yuji's role as a sorcerer, gives Sukuna his well deserved Karma, and Sukuna will die with Yuji not being able to accomplish anything in the end.

there is a flaw in your theory dude, sukuna's fingers are indestructible, even gojo cant destroy them, so how can nobara do it? she could probably use resonance on one of his arms that got cut off or his stomach mouth.
That finger is in Yuji’s soul. Kenjaku used that finger as a way of making Yuji which is why when he ran passed Megumi he got the sensation of Sukunas cursed energy earlier in the manga
Its Yuji's finger. That means Yuji is Sukuna. Sukuna maybe burn it with Fuga added his character development ended him to be defeated by Yuji.

The entire convo between Megumi and Yuji really got me crying. He's been trying so hard to save Megumi, but he has to face the reality that Megumi is truly completely done with everything and has no will to save himself, and Yuji can't save him if he doesn't want to be saved and has to respect his decision.
It reminds me of what Gojo said after failing to stop Geto from leaving. Gojo said he realized that he couldn't save someone who didn't want to be saved, after failing to stop Geto from leaving and failing to muster up the willpower to kill him before Geto walked away into the crowd. It was a hard pill to swallow, but it was the truth.
The flashback to the scene where kid Megumi first met Gojo but instead having Yuji take Gojo's place was heartbreaking! The original scene established a positive direction for Megumi's future with Gojo deciding to save him from the Zenin clan by honoring Toji's dying wish. Now the scene is Yuji facing the reality that he has to accept MEGUMI'S dying wish of just letting him die and the thought is too much for Yuji because he's going to miss him 😭
It looks like Megumi may have tried to help Yuji in this battle, and I really really hope he does, and they can both pull through.

2 theories:
1 is just that Yuji's RCT just is not very good still. It's his blood manipulation that helps his RCT if you recall.
2 is Yuta's CT literally consumes a part of the soul, in this case Yuji's soul. As we learned, the body follows the shape of the soul. The soul of Yuji's fingers gets eaten thus his body's RCT doesn't heal the fingers (similar to Toji's arm)

1. Megumi might not be 100% full throttle back but I’m thinking he doesn’t just not care anymore
2. Could Yuji be doing some kind of binding vow where he gives up 2 of his fingers to do soul damage on sukuna’s 20th finger and do a type of cleave-resonance thing (similar to nobara’s technique) to harm sukuna?
3. (Insane copium here) or instead of Yuji doing a binding vow that staircase is actually a bunker that Nobara has been hiding out in where she can do her soul resonance attack on sukunas 20th finger which would further encourage Megumi to get back on his feet which would be similar to how her technique encouraged Yuji against Mahito in shibuya.
We never got confirmation that Rika died and we don't know how copy works when it comes to Rika so it's possible that Rika copies Nobara but it's 12:50 AM so I'm probably just insane

I mean, technically they didn't tell Yuji about the yuta/gojo swap in case there was a resonance thing and Sukuna could find out. So MAYBE Nobara is alive and they just told Yuji she died so Sukuna wouldn't find out about the plan since she's one of the only known characters to attack the soul.
Of course this is one of the biggest maybes I've said about any jjk stuff. Even among the "Maybe Gojo's coming back this chapter?" stuff.

Last 2 pages 100% confirms Yuta ate Yujis finger to copy shrine. Yuji was already down his pinky finger from when sukuna switch body’s to megumi and now he’s down his ring finger due to yuta gobblin up that finger

Yuji loses gauntlet, thinks about missing fingers, resonates with Sukuna and makes him think about his missing finger. Now Sukuna is going to race toward the finger to eat it and redrown Megumi and get a power boost.

Mya's translations are terrible, that's why at leaks you don't get everything at face value but with a grain of salt. Yuji already opened his domain, his domain is manifested and he doesn't need to open it again, that's also the reason why Sukuna is using HWB in the first place. Sukuna is shocked because he feels his finger somewhere within the domain.

@@zyzhang1130 What are you talking about? That's Yuji's domain that they resonated within, hence the reason why Sukuna appeared differently last chapter. Sukuna is literally using HWB to counter Yuji's domain.
That’s the finger Yuji was born with more than likely. He’s probably refusing their souls and locking them both in a finger. So he’ll reincarnate as long as Sukuna does (i.e. he can’t move on til the “hells” are empty)

For some reason I feel like this mysterious finger is somehow related to Yuji's Domain. Perhaps, losing his fingers during the fight was a part of his Domain's effect. Sukuna didn't have time to figure out what was happening and only when he saw 2 fingers missing (that clearly wasn't because of him attacking Yuji), he realised something. Probably conditions were met and Domain's effect was set in motion

I’ve said it a bunch but I think Rika just snatched Sukuna’s missing hand or any other body part from earlier before they pulled up and his missing fingers could just be cut from the slashes or intentionally cut to equal one finger of Sukuna being he has 2x as much ce meaning that him being drenched in Sukuna’s ce results in a final finger IF Rika did in fact consume that last finger which would be idiotic but if they had a plan for it like making a new one through Yuji with his own ce they could trap him either way it works but I want it to be Yuta lied planned in advance and they could have the healing squad working on Nobara to try and get up to give an extra edge which I’d love everyone knows her ability is a soul counter.

Yugi's missing fingers are simple to explain. Riki and Yuta did in fact eat Sukuna's 20th finger to gain access to shrine, not cleave or dismantle. Then Yuta swapped body's with Yugi in order to get cleave and dismantle being that Yugi had never performed a domain expansion while Sakuna was controlling him there was no domain to copy. Altho Sakuna did use his cursed techniques while controlling Yugi's body, that is how Yuta gained access to Sakuna's arsenal.
