I went to India in November (I'm from Canada) to attend my friends wedding (he's from India) and the whole trip was absolutely amazing.
Erin S. when came call me i helped you thanks. fb gagan1437
Namaste! and Welcome mam
yes our culture is very very different from north america I've been to 18 countries and quebec city was the very city i visited i loved every single minute i spend there , hope i go back someday
So cute smile ma'am
I thank you for liking my country
It is funny how people are cribbing that she just showed the relatively wealthier parts of India, and not the relatively poorer parts, but they never crib when budget travellers just show the poorer parts, the slums, the budget hotels and the street foods.
It is all about narrative. No one complains when she showed the luxurious lifestyle of Paris, London or any other cities. Probably people associate India with povery and slums, and hence they are disappointed.
Also, it is not her fault that she is rich. It is her money and she decides where to stay, how much to spend etc.
Real_Ankit there are more homeless in states than in india, every one associate india with poverty but india was the richest country in the world and because of multiple invasion indian became weak but still 6th largest economy in the world.India is great and more beautiful than most of the country in the world
@@aritra3551 thanks
Where is the data for such a claim for the homeless population? BTW Governments in the US do a lot to tackle the homeless population!
India is great, but the reality cannot be ignored!
Savage the reality is India has 1.2 billion ppl and all ppl cannot be rich .Some has to be poor and some has to be rich. Also middle class do exist that is close to 600 million ppl .
@@manavjain8805 Agreed! My point is different though.
People are quick to compare India to developed countries. If there are homeless in the US, how does it relate to India having poor population? It's like if someone asks a politician, "What are you doing to alleviate poverty in India", and he replies, "What about poverty in the US?".
A lot of people in India are living in the past, saying things like India was the richest country in the world and then there were Invasions. Good! What about now? What about the serious modern day problems in India and what is the leadership doing about it? There's trash everywhere, the population is out of control, hunger, the crime against women, an endless list.
I am from Turkey and one of my biggest dream is travelling India in one day, maybe after my graduation. I really like and admire India for its exotic and mystic structure, tranquil and truly peaceful nature, wild jungles which contain unfamiliar animal species. Agra, Kolkota, Hyderabad and state of Kerata, Thrivandrapharum sound me adorable places.. :)
Respect and love India from Turkey :)
You should visit Rajasthan the land of the Kings Big forts Castle, Great wall of India, Desert, Mountains ,Camel ride ancient structure, Asia biggest fort all of these are there.
Welcome bro.
You are always welcome in India Turkey is Beautiful country as Well
Amazed at people criticising the lady for not showing real India. People actually just want to see the poverty just like how west portrays India in its media be it music videos, hollywood movies or news. If she is showing the world other side of it, why are people getting offended. There are tons of vlogs here which foreigners picture only poverty laden part of India. Those who are offended can visit those videos to satisfy their ego.
User Name thankyou so much!!! :)
Nailed it.
I KNOW RIGHT
User Name ikr!
User Name We should eradicate poverty in India and use the criticism as motivation. It will certainly give them nothing to complain about.
India is such a breathtakingly beautiful country! The light in this vlog is just spectacular, the rhythm of daily life, the rituals are just mesmerising! Experiencing the world and traveling is such an incredible gift, thanks for sharing this!
Thank you for Appreciating India because some people think that in India we only have slums dirt etc. So really appreciated
I visited India in September with my university, but stayed mostly in Delhi and Agra. I fell in love and definitely want to go back, thank you for sharing Mumbai! It’s somewhere I have to visit next! I hope you and Alex enjoy the rest of your trip xx
Hi, Smith. As level of development, yes I would say that India is still a 3rd world country. There are large areas of poverty and deprivation, however there are also areas that show wealth and development, but from what I saw these were few and far between and were mainly in central Delhi. India is a place where you become amazed and overwhelmed by everything, it’s beautiful and is nothing like anything else I could compare it to. I can’t wait to go back.
emily230597
Do come to India again. This time, you should not only visit Mumbai, but also the up North, the might South and the less appreciated North East. You would definitely have an amazing experience.
emily230597 It must be Rajasthan.... hope you will visit... or West Bengal
heartily welcome in India again
Welcome
Can’t understand why people are so rude about you doing your job. You are taking us through your journey to India. You are not trying to state that what you experienced is India. There are various layers to a country which you won’t be able to portray in such a short visit. That is true with any country you visit. You are trying your best to do your job.
You go girl! 💕
Haters gonna hate..
Thank you for such a kind comment, it's so appreciated and I'm so glad you saw the beauty that I too saw! xx
Every country has its own set of problems to deal with..but unless it bothers tourists .. India welcome
It's tourist with open heart..
Bows and shades hi I'm from india
@@VictoriaMagrath Have you been in kolkata??
India seems to be so opposite to Ireland where I live! Sunny hot weather, lots of people everywhere doing things, noisy, fancy architecture etc. 😂Looks amazing! I'd love to experience India one day.
Do visit India always welcome
sandip k Ya I understand that India is huge and i'm sure it varies greatly! Usually as tourist you'd end up visiting the large cities though. I'd probably prefer going in winter if it's colder then, not used to hot weather here!
The noises make more active to the life of people and city.
Hope to see you in India soon :)
TriTri Cruelty Free Beauty my state isn't noisy and never hot. Its snow or moderate temperature and yeah its in India.
Absolutely amazing!!! I’ve always wanted to visit India. So beautiful!!

You Only Live Once. So make the most of it. Fulfil all your desires and cherish the experiences. Do come to India and explore what she has to offer. There will be ups and downs, for sure, but in the end, you will love India, like many others. :)
Your Welcome
India is a very beautiful country..it's like a continent.. which offers more than a tourist can ever expect..I wonder what is stopping you from visiting such a lovely place.. being an Indian I would love to help you
Welcome to india
Welcome mam of want help ask us
Loved this! It can be so easy to have a single story of developing countries and this just showed a whole side which I'm sure people from
India appreciate. I have family in South Africa and I know frustrated they get when media only shows the impoverished parts of Africa. xx
This is so interesting to hear, thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it xx
sinazo manentsa yeah i appreciate it😊 but the irony is that we (India n Africa) are called 3rd world Country but we are totally opposite of it probably the first civilisations, oldest religion, oldest Language, looted by westerns this is our history, love it or hate it😊👍
+sonu Kohli why is religion a good thing
steve boy cuz Religion teaches us the way of living life, respecting each others, Temple, Church, Gurudwara, Masjid, monk, priest, , Culture, tradition, everything is beautiful 😍
Yes, it also hurt us ... When foreign media show bad image of Ind..
I love India, such a stunning country! It's visually stunning but also culturally. Beautiful vlog as always! Love you xx
So so true, it's been such an incredible experience so far, so humbling xx

Oh, my lord, I have to go to India it is such a spiritual place you have to see the elephants walking around freely. Have so much fun. XO
Lol Elephants roaming freely. Wgat are you saying 😂😂😂Its nothing like that! Yes, you will get to exp that in South India but they r nor roaming freely. The only elephants who roam freely r inside the santuaries.

Not really understanding some of the negative comments with regards to this video. It's very clear that Victoria is working with certain companies in this video and thus portraying a particular luxurious style trip that so happens to be in India. I would also say, from experience, that it's not always easy to fully immerse yourself in the Indian culture as a young white British female. I'm lucky that I've been able to do so as my partner's family are Goan. There is no way I would have the confidence, guaranteed safety, and avoid being completely 'ripped off', if I didn't have him by my side, when I've gone exploring around India. Also, in reference to some people complaining that Victoria hasn't highlighted the poverty and daily struggles for some in India... that's the equivalent of criticising a non-English RUclipsr invited to experience the delights of our luxury hotels or restaurants in London but failing to mention the all-time-high knife and gun crime that is happening in parts of our city at the moment! It seems you can't please everyone all the time!
HarrietBeattie
Very well written. There is so much bias for India and hence some people have a predefined mindset for India( or any other country as well).
I am glad you had a good time in India. Do come again and visit the places which you haven't till now. I am sure you will have an amazing experience. :)
So cute smile ma'am
very well said !! Truly amazing vlog , this one. best part was the Dawn city tour, it shows the maximum city in minimum time. Love
Very well said
So much colour and vibrancy, what a beautiful place... I don't understand the negative comments, you showed us what your tour guide showed you, what's wrong with that... Yes there is a less glamorous side but it is the same in every country, we are not ignorant to that... beautiful video Victoria xx
Thank you so much, so nice of you to give such a lovely comment :) xx
Evelyn Mcculloch hi I'm from india
Wow, wow, wow. What an amazing experience. And your Mumbai Hotel was stunning, but your jaipur hotel was another level. Can't wait to see what else u get up to. Xxx

India is the highest producer of dairy in the entire world. That’s why there is so much cheese😂
Yes U R Correct
Wait I thought it was Australia?
i never thought i wanted to go to india until this video
Sam. Don't get brainwashed by your media. India has changed a lot in the last ten years and in another 8 to 10 years it will be more developed with the billions of dollars worth infrastructural projects currently being built.
Welcome
That wasn't your fault the fault was from media side... They just showed the poor parts of India....
Don't travel solo

Inthefrow That's fabulous. Well enjoy the rest of the stay. I'm sure this beautiful country has captured your heart and this won't be your only time visiting India 😊
welcome back soon
There is so much negativity on this video. I personally loved it and loved seeing this side of India. Sometimes it is nice to see the "nicer" side of countries where there is a lot of poverty and chaos. Everyone experiences countries differently and this isn't to say that she didn't experience the other side of India, she just maybe didn't want to film it.Your doing great Victoria, keep filming these kind of videos where you are proud to upload, cause tour videos are just beautiful. xx
Thank you so so much, what a lovely encouraging comment :) xx
sandip K they are ignorant.
You have to understand that India has huge population and it becomes very hard for government to give everyone equal standard of living. Despite that India has 300 million middle class population which is more than population of America. So India is rapidly developing.
Western media and people are still engrossed in colonials mentality..they can't digest the fact that India can develop.
I agree with you but I hope you are saying this in a neutral thinking ..
Amazing isn’t it
Still you didn’t see the other parts of India 🇮🇳

Thank you for sharing this beautiful & luxurious side of India. Love from India !
This video has me dying to visit India 🇮🇳 especially those little markets! Thanks for sharing!
Love that you went to India! Going back to the motherland in July this year!
So glad you're getting to see how wonderful India is! Are you managing to see how forward thinking it is and how even the poorest people are brimming with happiness and kindness? :) xxx
The people we've met in every part of our trip so far have been so welcoming and lovely, it's been a trip filled with such warmth and beauty, I feel so lucky to see such a vibrant country! xx
Nafisah Atcha I've never been to India but I have heard that they are actually not very forward thinking and that the poor people lead a very tough like due to the caste system. Is that actually a misunderstanding? Because I don't want to think something about a country that is not true. I thought it was very conservative etc, but please tell me if I'm wrong!! I have been afraid of going to India because of these rumors. If they are wrong I need to know lol! x
ParadiseLost now it's more about classism, although there are some people who still follow caste system. But you should not have any preconceptions if you want to visit India. Come with an open mind and it will surprise you. India is a vast country and everything form culture to language, food to climate changes as you travel further. And even though there are so much of craziness in this country there is a sense of peace within it.
ParadiseLost just read your comment and I want to say that just don't think about the rumors. And don't be afraid to visit India but its a bit conservative except the northeastern part of the country. Accept what you see after landing , try not to fight with the circumstances and go with the flow. Come to India with least expectations and you will enjoy the most.
ParadiseLost I think you're confusing culture, tradition and religion with forward thinking, anyways if you're scared of visiting countries because of unsubstantiated rumors then I pity you. There is simply no excuse for being ignorant in today's age of instant information...even if you prefer the easy visual kind, there are tons of videos available on YT to help make your decision.
Omg this vlog is so incredible, so many breathtaking and interesting places. India is such a complex and beautiful country.
Fiammetta appreciated
Have a great stay in beautiful India :)
Oh and P.S one interesting fact about the Taj Mahal Hotel... In the 1900s Jamestji Tata, one of India’s leading industrialist was denied entry to the Watson Hotel, one of the best hotels in Mumbai in that era... just cause he was an Indian and entry was only for the British and whites. He was hurt by this. In return he commissioned the building of the Taj Mahal Hotel which stands to this very day. I think Watson’s went bankrupt soon after. The Taj Hotel would welcome everyone from every race and colour. The Taj Group to this day is one of the organisations known for their high integrity and moral fibre
Last year I visited India and it might be my best tour ever
If you are planning to go and not yet decided don’t forget to visit India

Being indian and mumbaitie, i think we should get rid of plastics, crub pollution, way many things to get rid off then only we can make india a better place to visit, there are many ppls who are trying their best to get rid of plastics, pollution etc. But still there are many ppls who dont care, govt after banning plastics still ppl use plastic bags, i made my mind to keep my country plastic free by not using it i hope every indian buddy will soon contribute

i might be biased, but your India content is probably my fav. the insta stories, the photos, the vlog. i love all of it. im glad you're having a good time
Thank you so much, so kind of you xx
Thank you guys both for the wonderful words in the video for my country. My description to all the people who have reservations & skepticism about visiting India.
India has its extremes. Places can be extremely beautiful & soothing on the other hand if you go to some remote poor places, it can be dirty & chaotic. But remember India has huge poverty & illiteracy.
Is India safe - Like many other countries, there can be some places here & there which can be risky. Just make sure you don't go out alone late in the night in isolated places, especially ladies.
Don't get irritated or show your frustration. Be humble & nice, but don't get too friendly or engage with a stranger for long. Be slow to trust someone blindly you don't know. India is a poor country, so definitely there are people who can take you for a ride. Check with a local person before you buy something, want to get somewhere. If you just do this & mind your own business, India is 99.99% safe.
Things which can shock western tourists are crowd, noise, traffic, pollution, honking & living conditions in some places. Stay calm & allow everything to sink in. And slowly you will start seeing the beauty in the chaos, the simplicity, the spirit of the people, how people are happy with whatever they have. After this it will be a fun filled experience - you will see the colors, culture & the real essence of India.
Food is something which you will definitely relish. Many things can be spicy as it's prepared with lot of masala to suit the Indian taste especially if you have at small joints. Some people can get a stomach upset, as you stomach needs time to program to the new configuration, but none the less you will enjoy the variety of Indian delicacies.
So do visit India, it will be a memorable, unique & life changing experience which you will never forget. I am from Bangalore city - South of India.
Thanks again for Victoria. Sorry about the long message. Keep up your good work. Cheers
You’re such a gracious beauty Victoria, all that opulence and nothing but sincere gratitude. Very refreshing! Lovely video xx

Until british rule(1700s), India had a share of almost 25%(largest) of world GDP which declined to 2% in 1900s. So, u can imagine how india was before india's economy being destroyed and wealth taken away by british empire.
Indians weren't poor, They were made poor. Fortunately, India is reclaiming its glory again & emerging as world power.
Smith and what book is that. india is a very poor country. nowhere in the history that india become rich. stop this propoganda. the very poor india will and always be the very poor india today.
g p looter Britain trying to teach us history lol .History is not always what whites know
F9o Eks i am educated. I am a nurse here in usa. And stop this non sense that india will be like this. Even some african countries are richer than india. The big gdp is because of the big population. If were talking about development, it is the East and southeast asia that is doing very well. Try to read books honey, thats the best advice i could give you.

That goes to show that you yourself are a very positive person because we as Indians know that we have so many shortcomings & problems !!!We are far from perfect & lack sone basic amenities which citizens of developed countries take for granted. Thanks once again !!!😊👍

What an amazing video Victoria, you seem to have fallen in love with India. The hotel was just amazing, if I had that suite I would never leave.
If you tour India north to south, east to west that means you had survived whole the world because you see everything in India like rivers, mountains, beaches, desert ,snowfalls, different kind of cultures and more. India is great.
