My Hyundai Santa Fe 2013 2.2 CRDI does 7.0 l/100km from KL to Penang driving between 120-140km/h. To me, if a hybrid can’t do less than 5, it’s not worth it as it is just a hassle. I’m just not convinced on Battery hybrids.
+boy638 yes you can. In charge mode, the engine will supply some of its power to charge the battery, and it even idles at a higher rpm to do so. But of course, it will use up fuel to do so. Still, a good option to have if you're heading into a crowded city with not enough charge.
The extras this car gets over the standard e250 is amazing. If i had known that earlier, i would have waited for this instead of grabbing the e250 the moment it came out. Why cant we have options like the europeons 😥
quite impressive! i think Electric vehicles are definitely the future, seeing our fuel price fluctuates ups and dows (more to ups actually). But the price tho...nearly RM400k. -_-;
Cavalier share your reasoning and opinion please, Im looking to replace my Bmw F10 with a plug in hybrid as in London there’s loads of charges added recently.
At nearly 400k, fuel consumption figures is a bad way to showcase the car. What would be more interesting is how far you can get in mostly urban driving with a full tank, i.e less time spent in a gas station. Urban driving is where the hybrid powertrain thrives. No one sensible would believe that 2.1L figure quoted. Remember that Bluetec Hybrid doing KL to Bangkok. It was the perfect illustration for that car.
I drive a C350e in Singapore and almost never charge it as there are only 3 public chargers with type II plug in SG. It's about 500km range per tank(from full to 1/4) in SG road. On average is about 7.5L/100km
What a cool looking car.
Pls do a review of c350e plug in hybrid on c350e
If only they had a different dashboard trim. That faux carbon looks really cheap against the lush brown leather.
Great Video!

Why "first drive" in the title?
very informative. good review
Can you recharge the batteries to 100% just from driving? Or is it like BMW where it limits it to 50%?

9:13 39 mpg are you serious? My e220d will do 62mpg over that distance on much more twisty roads. 🤣

I just concerned about fuel consumption.. it's it true as website state that only 2.1 litre 100km /hr
+jeeshang12 that's the claimed figure. We got 7.0 litres per 100 km from PJ to Penang.
Paul Tan's Automotive News 7l/100kms is what I get from my 2l diesel bmw f10, no point buying this then.

my w210 can get 6.8 l/100km on highway
BMW 740 Le xDrive gets 5.9 Litres per 100 kms for the past 2 years.
Thanks for the review! It just confirmed my doubts about this car. Unfortunately, it isn't worth buying.

Xpayah pakai electric motor sbb Kereta tu utk org kaya....xpayah biar org kaya dpt minyak free
gavin R/88 tapi minyak petrol kan sumber terhad plus mercedes buat kereta ini untuk mengelakkan pencemaran udara
This guy speaks too fast like a train
May I know after Battery flat, can E350e still able to start and run like normal without battery recharged?
