I often am typing while on YT and at first it would freak me out how often the word I was typing would pop up on the video, at the exactly the same time. This happened with very common words, as is to be expected, but also with rarer ones. It seemed very uncanny even though I knew there was nothing to it.
Then it became a habit and I realized it's just something that happens. Type while you watch a video in which people are talking and it is almost bound to happen.
Also, I am trilingual and needless to say it never happened that it'd happen when the languages did not match. If I were typing in Portuguese while listening to a video in English, it would not happen- although at times the same concept would pop up on both my typing and the video, but it was not the same word- nor would it happen when my typing was in Japanese and the video in English. Which is obvious but if the universe were trying to tell me something- as I'm sure a lot of people would assume, if this happened to them- then the coincidence would still hold across languages. Now that would be really impressed: hasn't ever happened.

I was listing must have been 17++ years ago when Matt 1st called in … what a logical mind.
I was 10 years old when my grandmother talked my mother into having me attend her Methodist churches Sunday school … well after two times the instructor asked my grandmother to remove me from the class because I was asking too many questions when we were finger-painting and the Bible was being read to us … and I was influencing the other kids… yep got kicked out of Sunday school… and there are mad Atheists in fox holes !
When I got back to my grandparents place and my grandfather found out … he says well welcome to the club … I’m now 75+ and want to thank this group ever so much. thank you again Matthew and I wish you all the best in your new relationship and any endeavors you both have your thoughts centered on… 💭 👍💰

Matt, it's very sad to learn that you'll be leaving the organization and I wish you the best of luck in everything you do next.
I thought for 50 years that I was an agnostic (since childhood) until Christopher Hitchens showed up in my suggestions at the beginning of the pandemic. When I listened to him I realized that I had been an atheist all along. Then your videos were suggested and I knew I had found my niche. You'll be sorely missed by many, but please do not disappear completely.

Everyone is an agnostic, because no one knows the truth. You're still agnostic. I'm a staunch atheist, I have never believed in god, and I'm still agnostic. Agnostic is honestly a meaningless descriptor because no one knows for sure if there's a god or not. Atheism and theism are about beliefs (not knowledge) so they're actually meaningful.

Hi Matt. Thank you for all the years of informative content you provided us on this show.
I learnt a lot from you after discovering this channel in university when I first deconverted. Honestly this channel helped me have a pretty smooth deconversion because you had tackled so many questions I had and had taken on all the apologetics that I had been taught and would later have to challenge myself.
You helped me think about when it would be right to come out if at all necessary. And most importantly you introduced me to the epistemological tools I would need to tackle day to day life without getting sucked into some new belief systems.
Thank you for your years of service to the mission and all the best on your future endeavours. I’ll be checking you out solely on your channel from now on.
