Another way spike-o-pult could be buffed is if it had 2 ammo, so its special ability could be used twice in a single turn. If it only had 1 delay, it could become very difficult to deal with once it reaches a certain amount of attack. If it did have 2 ammo, the buff that its ability gives would probably need to be nerfed, since increasing ammo would multiply the extra damage that its ability gives.
I‘d say 1 delay but down to 15 in ability and base might be interesting
Id say 1 delay but after 2 kills it jumps to 2 delay and then stays like that

9:45 the reason this description is misleading is because it also buffs any tower that is based on an upgrade for the Dart Monkey in BTD6; those cards should probably be given some kind of symbol or keyword for clarity

It’s also weird for a reason that isn’t the same as yours, because even in the game some dart monkey path upgrades aren’t affected by super monkey fan club, but are in this game 😭

I like the idea of Dart Monkey being like a Puff-Shroom in a way,makes sense considering how in BTD6 you can get a skill tree upgrade to get a free one each game,too

you can still play duel though. if you back out of the tutorial you can still pick the duel option. but yes, the tutorial is impossible which is hilarious
I think normal Bloons should 1 copy and swarms still 3, mainly for theming, currently doesn't make sense 2 copies of a bloon is normal but 3 is called a swarm you know? So 1 copy and 3 would fit better, rather than also 1 copy and 2

This is the game where a Rainbow costs more than a BFB, I don't think BTD accuracy is a high priority

wouldnt it be silly if BADs just one-shot you regardless of their health like in btd6
they'd have to be insanely expensive and/or slow but i think it'd be neat

Ceasefire should probably get the increased delay back. I don’t really think it was used for otk much since it’s just super expensive in comparison to whoops and stun. Instead it let normal bloons get through harder control defenses while still letting those players respond by either using their powers and cards instead of just instantly dying.

Hey fry and good way to word ceasefire, is "Enemies monkey lose all ammo, if the monkey is already out of ammo, add 1 turn to their delay instead." and some goes for whoops

I'm glad they nerfed agro. Still think it needs a few more nerfs as you said with the card ammo being too spammy.
Personally I don't like how Quick Ready uses is basically only reduce to 0 now
Reducing a big countdown like 4 or 3 is not worth it for 6 Gold
I would like if was still at 6 cost with the text "reduce delay of target bloon by 1, then gain Gold equal to its remaining delay"

My stance on double bloons is that they should have 1 more delay than their regular counterparts, but otherwise the same stats. So a double pink would be what a double green was before the nerf, a double yellow would be a cheaper 280 at Ceramic speed, a double red would be 0 cost but slow etc.

they have been surprisingly fast on the balance patches. im impressed :)

Even tho i don't have access to the game i thought i would chip in my 2 cents about some changes
*Bionic Boomer* - It will definetly still be good and it being at 1 reload to begin with was ridiculous anyways considering it's design because 6 cost for 80 damage a turn AFTER the burst fire was clearly to high
*Glavie Ricohet* - Yeah i don't understand this one it was already a 12 cost so unless there's someone out there turboing this out it's overall power at 1 reload is justified imo
*The Moabs* - Best change so far. always found it funny how there was anti moab stuff yet moabs were so irrelevant that it didn't matter. i can't name any monkey that would have something like it but it would be cool for stuff that was soley anti small bloons. not too much tho
*The Forced Reload Cards* - as cool as making monkeys lose ammo sound i feel like the 2 cards can only be viable if A: Defender meta. Or B: they change how reloading works like you said. or really just anyway to make it not useless outside of defenders. i had one idea where it could just add 1 charge of reload temporaily until they use up all their ammo but that might put stunned out of a use case

imagine someone plays Crippling Sniper early, then you use Whoops to make them reload for three turns before if ever hit a large bloon lol
as a player who LOVES super monkey fan club, I'm super excited for this
Make burst damage from the bloons side not as strong! They need a sort of pierce system that makes bloons on the same turn timer more vulnerable
hey fry am also a big fan of the game but i had alot of stuff in the last 10 days, now i saw that the beta is out! and i got the game (the beta code) and i was very happy to start playing and then i got soft locked in the tutorial :')
edit: my dumb ah didnt see that i can duel with out even doing the tutorial, still it does need a fix

Nested bloon deck when? (I really want to see if they'll be annoying if you just spam them).
I've tried doing this but the problem is that you run out of cards very quickly as they only have one charge and they can all generally be damaged slightly but not fully destroyed meaning that they do very little damage. but I'd be very interested to see if fry can make it work
nested are only finishers, cant make a full deck out od them, few in a deck wont hurt though

[hazard] occupies one space on the player's bloon path. [hazard] have a fixed lifetime before it Disarms. when its defense value is 0, it's Exhausted.
it's the player's pre-answer to enemy OTK combos or in general a way to interact with attacking bloons. this allows players to prepare a quick defense without eating up precious tower slots. it has the tradeoff of eating up your bloon slot and being less reliable. hazards fill up from the other end of your bloon slots.
you *could* try a hazard-only defense deck but their fixed lifetime will make it challenging to use. this can benefit players by denying enemy opportunities or giving yourself an edge. i'm hoping a tempo deck could be derived but idk
not gonna watch the full video (i watched the stream yesterday) but i just wanna say that i quit the game after this update
it feels like i am forced to play aggro and aggro is not fun for someone like me
sorry if it's a "TLTR" i just really feel like saying this
they tried way too hard to nerf control when aggro was already the meta , now without bionic control is way harder to use against aggro and them nerfing glaie which NO ONE was complaining about just proves that they just want aggro to be the best strat
even bionic , the nerf was deserved but HALVING THE DPT is ridicolous , the WHOLE POINT of bionic is that it's fast and they made it hella slow , just like elite defender and super monkey for some reason , all of the fastest towers get to be the slowest (luckily this one is just 2 , not 3)
also they did the same for glaive , which , once more , was considered balanced overall due to the cost and being unique , now , most of the unique cards are absolutely useless , before this , glaive was fun , i used it but it wasn't like , required , it often was bad to have since if i drew into it too early it could mess me up a bit due to it being unplayable for a long time and all of the removal cards worked on it , NK ignored all of this and decided that one of the harshest nerfs possible , hell , i'd argue tha a nerf harsher than what happened to quick ready was required for this card.
using 1 delay towers feels the best for me so them removing even more and forcing me to have to use 2-3 delay ones lategame just feels stoopid and less satisfying , but that's a nitpick , what is not a nitpick is how they almost ignored aggro , all they did was nerf a single aggro card ...or well , 2 versions of it , by 5 HP , which does nothing , oh and they nerfed double yellow which is good but that wasn't exactly required for aggro decks , they did BARELY ANYTHING against aggro other than doing a bug fix for the most OP Bloon. aggro is perfectly fine without that.
i feel unironically forced to not play control as it feels like i am playing to lose if i do , aggro is mostly brainless and i enjoy overthinking things , i was the guy doing all the wizard and spike-o-pult math (AND BTW the difference is even bigger , wizard has DOUBLE the starting DPT now whilst they have the same cost) and i just don't feel like trying with this game anymore , i don't find any fun with aggro and without it it feels like i am playing a losing game which isn't fun for me either , i tried different decks , i tried believeing but after so little time i just don't feel like playing this game in any extent , this game went from really fun for me to just , not , they killed what i found to be fun whilst ignoring the actual unfun-to-play-against-strat for me , but hey , at least they nerfed quick ready , that's one good thing (also the bug fix with that one bloon is a very good change but that is a bug fix , not a balance change)
sorry for repeating myself a bunch , either way , NK unironically killed this game for me by such a small change list , it's just that nerfing the slightly-worse strat and ignoring the best one doesn't go too well , i know people will say that i am over reacting and i am sure i am , but i just don't have fun in it now with how aggro is
I haven't had a lot of time to test the new changes, but I will definitely try to show you some viable control/ slower decks in the coming days
It'll at least be interesting how they handle the buffing cards like alchemist, the rest of monkey village, and engineer
not to be a downer but this is the beta (after the alpha) and the first of many balance changes - I'm sure NK will work out the kinks in the system in a future update. We also know that ~180 cards are planned for launch and there's only ~100 here
