Good evening: Following Schubert's death the incomplete manuscript score eventually found his way into the ownership of Johannes Brahms. The "Quartettsatz" received its posthumous premiere on 1 March 1867 in Vienna, with publication of the score, edited by Brahms, Following 1870.
If this quartet is already more than beautiful due to its expository intensity, performed by 4 musicians, it is obvious that the sound result here leaves us absolutely stunned. Thank you very much for deferring this exquisite work, by that renowned orchestra.
