    This bike should've never been discontinued in the first place. If they would've made it more affordable they would sell a lot of them plus customization parts. Its where the Street glide came from.

    The only things I'd change right off is the hand grips and adding passing lamps.

    Get the ABS option. It's a life saver!

    • @ZMHarleyDavidson
      @ZMHarleyDavidson  5 лет назад +1

      We appreciate what that dynamic linked ABS can do as well. Understand that H-D wants to make this the consumer's choice. I respect that, but like yourself, I have experienced the benefits and would gladly put another $795 on the table!

  • @fedricoekkelenkamp5384
    @fedricoekkelenkamp5384 5 лет назад

    in the Netherlands the ABS is standard on Harley's. The price of the 2019 Electra Glide standard is 29500,00 euro's in the Netherlands. (luxury taxes). In Germany it wil cost you 24895,00 euro's . In Belgium the same model cost 25500,00 euro's.A big difference in price in Europe.

    • @ZMHarleyDavidson
      @ZMHarleyDavidson  5 лет назад

      Wow, that's a substantial price difference. Hopefully you guys are still seeing a better price intro than the other models? Thanks for the info, we never really see the sticker prices from abroad......

    Nice bike.... I prefer a few more options with mine but if I wasn’t worried about listening to tunes I’d consider this ride. .....Good video...By the way.When is Z&M’s Open house this year? Haven’t been able to make it down that way for a few years due to work! Last time I was there I had new tires put on my Wide Glide. Good friendly staff and service department!

      Thank you! We have many open houses and events planned this year. All are listed on our website, but if you want to email us, we will send you a complete printable copy. info@zmcycle.com . Thanks again....PS...we just had our Rides of March on 3/9. We have a jam packed month in May of reasons to visit. 3 Day Family Festival and Kids Day 5/16-5/18 is a personal favorite!

    So I made my Road King into this bike with a Memphis Shades batwing along with other upgrades. I was at my local dealer drooling on this bike today. Sometimes it more about the ride than worrying what others think of all your bling. This will be a nice welcome home for Harley. I can't wait to road test one.

      Nice choice on the Road King......always helps to have more options for people getting new toys!

    I dont know if was said but I also heard another review that the bike does have the harness for the radio if you want to install one.

    • @ZMHarleyDavidson
      @ZMHarleyDavidson  5 лет назад

      We absolutely can install either of the current H-D radios (6.5 GTS or Boombox 4.3). There is quite a bit involved and as mentioned would incur nearly $3,000 to install GTS. Thus why if it is an important feature to a rider, I suggested looking into the Street Glides which start pricing at $21,289 and offer the GTS upgrade for $895. This would acquire the 4.3 radio for added cost of $2,299 or the GTS for $3,185 on board the Street Glide which has a few other benefits that people may appreciate (Chrome motor complexion, 2-up seating and passenger pegs to name a couple). With that in mind, want to help direct riders to ensure they get the best solution for their needs. Kind of a lengthy reply, but wanted to be thorough to better identify my nonchalant mention in video. Really appreciate you watching and adding value for others who see this as well! Thanks again, Dax

    Are those brake lights or reflectors on the rear of the bag???

    • @ZMHarleyDavidson
      @ZMHarleyDavidson  5 лет назад

      Those are reflectors attached with adhesive only, not bolts. Apologize as I should have explained better, was preoccupied with keeping my description PC with HDMC! Thanks for watching!

    Mondale for me with the street glide shock I would have preferred they re issue the standard because it was an Electra Glide ... this is a street glide with a bigger blank fairing and Electra Glide tires to be honest.. why wouldn’t you just buy the street glide?

    • @ZMHarleyDavidson
      @ZMHarleyDavidson  5 лет назад

      Great points, in fact it is why I introduced the idea of comparing the two. At the end of the days, it's good to have options for everyone! I wouldn't be too quick to assume disappointment with the suspension either. My wife and I travel a lot on our Street Glide, and she has been extremely impressed with their rear shock since that occurred with the Milwaukee 8 launch.

    • @MarkR973
      @MarkR973 5 лет назад

      Thanks.. I’d recommend a full spec run down.. btw the Indian has alot more travel on that rear shock and their just using a fox shock.. perhaps Harley can use a similar setup to keep the lower ride height but improve the ride.. and I’m probably in the minority on my thoughts on this particular bike, I love Harley’s, and wanna buy another one but wish they just re issued the Electra Glide standard as it was before.. a true Electra Glide .. this is not that.. at least give it the damn Electra glide suspension which is w-a-y better than the street glide..

    • @ZMHarleyDavidson
      @ZMHarleyDavidson  5 лет назад

      Understand your thoughts, would hope that you might take a ride on this or a new Street Glide. The suspension on the last FLHT produced in 2009 was the Air adjust. We now have a second generation premium ride hand adjust on board and it is far superior. I understand the thoughts of 13" vs 12", however this 12" shock is definitely a major improvement and would recommend giving it a feel. My wife and I couldn't believe the difference as we travel long distance and have explored 4 different touring shocks through the years. This 12" OE on board our 2017 Street Glide is the best in both of our opinions.

    Doesn't make sense for 3000 dollars more you get a radio and a compartment to put your phone in into charge nicer Wheels much nicer interfering and Abs brakes the list goes on bottom line if you're going to finance $18,000 you might as well to finance 21,000 and get all the bells and whistles IT'S A NO BRAINER!!

    • @pridestopper
      @pridestopper 5 лет назад +1

      I'm glad that it makes sense to you. I would be in the same boat as yourself. I love the street glides. But this isn't for customers like ourselves. This is for minimalists. Who don't care about the fancy wheels, gloss interfering and radio. This type of customer will be someone who likes to add things to his bike like aftermarket wheels, their preferred radio without navigation, and or likes the stripped down look of a touring bike.

    • @robw3761
      @robw3761 5 лет назад +1

      I hear what you're saying but still when they see those bikes side-by-side and how much more that other bike has to offer for $3,000 more I don't think it's going to be a big seller for Harley now if they would have marked that black down to 16:9 instead of 18:9 then what you're saying makes sense even if they don't want the radio the bike just has so much more to offer and the difference in payment a month is going to be $20 more a month to finance $3,000 more

    • @curtis1951
      @curtis1951 5 лет назад

      You don't need all that stuff to ride. I had an 06 standard and loved it. Some people like listening to a radio and having some extra chrome but some don't.

    So no one invented a Road Glide standard 🤔

  • @Kwhopperfan
    @Kwhopperfan 5 лет назад

    That is a very competitive price point for a base "touring" platform. I think they should have given it longer travel shocks, not from the street glide. The Electra Glide is going to attract those concerned about budget and simplicity as well as comfort. Coming in $300 cheaper than the Road King but getting the batwing fairing instead of the Passing Lamps, windshield, passenger seat but having the option to add in the stereo, I am not sure which direction I would go. Others may be scratching their head as well.

    • @ZMHarleyDavidson
      @ZMHarleyDavidson  5 лет назад

      You nailed some good points! I did mention earlier about the rear suspension...I definitely understand the benefits of added travel, but the new 12" may be better than expected from a comfort standpoint and are more accommodating to a wider size range of riders. Wouldn't throw them out too quickly until you try them is all.

      I had forgotten about the suspension improvements as of late, I’m sure it will be fine as is

    I was hoping people would go more crazy over a CVO limited. Then I would feel more at ease knowing I spent 50,000 for a motorcycle .which I did. I have the silver/red/ black.
