I don't know why but it became Popular to hate on this film. It's definitely one of my favorites that I rewatch. The script is Really good... compact and comprehensive, the actors were good. The CGI wasn't the best but not enough to hate on ( comic films in these years still had a lot to prove before they could get big budgets). Problem is... once a trend starts people go with it because they are to afraid to have their own opinions.

There's a video by Filmento about the film. It's basically the same situation with TF: Revenge of the Fallen - made during the Writers Strike of 2008, meaning the film's production was rushed and it turned out to be a mess (there's also the terrible exposition, breaking the screenwriting rule "show don't tell"). Except, unlike with Revenge of the Fallen, this movie (just like TF: the Last Knight) is 3 plots/stories forcibly combined into one in a way that they end up sabotaging each other, resulting in this big nonsensical mess.

@@_somestuff Filmento feeds on people negativity... the most vocal segment of the audience. The haters have ruined many films... Terminator Salvation for example. A Minority of people kicked and screamed and killed a huge lineup that was planned. Now, people beg for more of that timeline when the studio went back to the old formula vomiting out T Genesis and Whatever the last one was.... oh ya.. Dark fate. Hamilton's character only hurt the film as a bitter broken old lady...
But your definitely right about 1 thing and that it's: The Writers... People typically blame the actors...

@@RAZR_Channel (yes, I know this 2 years late, don't care) he did a few times, but a lot of his videos are correct, they're lessons on good storytelling. And Salvation was bad, really bad (wow, it did a different thing. So what? You have to make it actually work, just saying that it's "new take" isn't enough). People didn't beg for more Terminator (aside from idiots, probably), everyone was done with it (which is why Dark Fate flopped.
Fact is, people hate films like X-Men Origins or G.I.Joe 2009 because they are, well, absolute garbage. Crap writing, nonsensical plots, characters devoid of personality, assinine jokes and what not. It's why films like The Dark Knight or Mission Impossible are praised and shit like Saw 3D or Terminator 4 is looked down upon.
It's never the minority, that's a stupid myth. People genuinely don't wanna waste their time on what looks like it might be bad, or the last film left such a negative vibe, or they don't know about it (because people are just no longer interested). It's why Salvation flopped, why Pirates 5 flopped, why the Last Knight flopped, why Saw VI flopped and so on.

@@_somestuff OMG... G.I.Joe ... Holy Dog $HT Batman... that Really ReDefined : BAD... and ya Salvation overall was sub par. But the Terminators were Really Hard so they did a Great job with the machines and sound designs of them. Buy christian bale just wasn't a great pick and too many weak side characters thrown in. The submarine HQ was a cool idea but they should have just shown it in passing rather than dicking around on it which didn't move the story forward - At ALL.
In a way the old Terminator films had an odd aspect that woked in their favor in that they only had a few characters that would have multiple intense confronations leading up to a final battle. All Films have a final battle but it's rarely as intense as the build up from previous confrontations in the same film.
So... in So in Salvation they don't have 1 or 2 main advisories that are constantly on their case the whole time. The T-1000 was on their shit the whole film... That's what made it intense cuz their just barely making it out each time till the end fight.
I was just watching my cuts of T3 after seeing an interview with Arnold who had the right ideas of ... lets send a girl this time... But she just didn't match the Intensity of the T-1000 which probably spoiled us setting the bar impossibly high. The pick for John in T3 could have been better but whatever... When the TX is on their case with the Crane it was Really on... And that was real action... But they ran the final battle with Way too much CGI and a poorly written final fight... And now... 3 decades later : AI is here and "Judgment Day IS Inevitable". That's what John at the end of T3 says the T-800 told him... "he just didn't want to hear it"... and that's pretty true in the real world...

I dont understand did deadpool have superhuman abilities before he even got a cancer and went thru the process that turned him in to deadpool ? It is so confusing to me when i've seen all the x-men and deadpool movies.
