- Josh Sokol, this year's Scrabble Players Champion and my good friend, runs and streams a weekly online Scrabble tournament on woogles.io every Monday night. I've never played it before, and still haven't. Or, so everyone thought until now...
Last night, I played under an anoynmous account that I've used a few times before but nobody would've ever suspected was me. As "Fabio" continued to take down other experts and climb up the leaderboard, the identity of this mysterious genius was a hot topic in Josh's stream chat. A GM named Mack Meller even joined the chat at some point after the tournament to admire how well Fabio played. Little did everyone know...
From 15:55 to 18:40, a play of "Cringe" was available.
While tactically it would be a bad play, the morale blow to your opponent would grant you a decisive edge.
The timing of this video is interesting, as I was moments away from suspending Fabio from rated games on Woogles due to his suspicious accuracy ;)
Plot twist: what if I'm not actually Fabio and whoever really is Fabio hired me to edit this video and perfectly synchronize it so it looked like I was actually playing as Fabio

I was about to ban Fabio lol. Josh pointed me at him and I ran our scripts on him, and was like yup, instaban, this guy plays as well as Mack but I have no idea who he is.
@@domino14 I'd just go ahead and ban him anyway. Just looking at these games, it's pretty clear that Mack has learned from BestBot how to rig his draws.
Doesn't knowing that it was Mack make you want to ban him even more?
once pyrexias came down i thought to myself "sheesh i'd ban this guy too"
This is good since it means Mack might have used up all his good tile draws before the woogles game he plays me during my lesson with him tomorrow :-)

Consistently impressed with the creativity of this channel, and coming up with so many different types of Scrabble content. This was awesome.
Also, yes you drew like a fiend, but you played beautifully - the bingo bango with SLAPJACK / PROMULGE was crazy. I did see the unplayable 7 of KALPAcS, which I can never remember if it starts with the C or K due to all the alternate spellings.

Love these kind of videos. Shows a lot of potential in scrabble content. Keep it up. Scrabble will grow a lot. It will make it into the public eye. Streamers will be playing this over chess in the future.

Thankfully Cesar did not ban Fabio (despite coming dangerously close -- see Josh's comment above) so this is potentially doable!

I was one of the several people who suggested a countries-of-the-world sequel to the "smallest scrabble word containing all the letters in each US state" video, and just wanted to mention since I caught this video early that I got curious and spent an entire afternoon using the official Merriam-Webster Scrabble dictionary site and putting every country + up to 2 blanks in there and getting the words for around 2/3 of the countries. I have them listed in a document as well and can probably send them to you somehow if you'd like them. I do also have a question though, what did you use for the original video to get your words that allowed you to use more than 2 blanks?
That's awesome, yes please do send it to me! Might be a little while but I certainly hope to get to that video soon. I just used Zyzzyva (the word study) tool for the first video, it lets you put in any number of blanks (or an unspecified number)
