I was not like a super die-hard fan of either as individuals, but I definitely bought into the image of Jelena. I was very much going through a Disney phase at the time and it kinda felt like something huge that this huge Disney star dating a popular popstar. They were like a teenage power couple. Ngl, I could accept their breakup but definitely definitely felt some type of way with how quickly Justin moved on into marriage, but it is what it is.

I think what it really comes down to is that they were both some of the most beautiful celebs in a long time and they happened to get together and had great chemistry even if they were toxic. Rumors say they were set up by their teams but you can tell from the videos that of them together they really cared for eachother which made for the perfect romantic duo. I feel like nobody really talks about Selena's music in 2022 on the other hand? Rare beauty is a big success, OMITB has decent twitter hype. But in real life nobody at least in my country my age talks about her, and her poor streaming stats back those anecdotes up.

I definitely believe Justin’s music was a little bit better when it was about Selena compared to his music now that is about Hailey. The emotions seemed very real and present compared to now. His music now sounds a little like puppy love when he talks about Hailey, which is good for him, but he’s losing inspiration as time goes on. His music isn’t as strong and heartfelt like it was a few years ago when he was heartbroken. End of the day, I love that he’s happy and will enjoy his songs until the day I die. I support anything Justin does so it doesn’t matter how his music evolves.
I just wanna say something, Lose You To Love Me was never successful because of justin, so many people till this day connected to the song, this song was so inspiring and it was all about healing. If it wasn't for her on & off again relationship with Bieber, her career would've probably fallen off after Disney. Being with Bieber gave her career opportunities that boosted her music & film career, including magazine covers & a clothing line.

As much as I like Selena Gomez I think the longevity she's had in her career is mainly due the male celebs she's dated like Justin Bieber & The Weeknd as well as her hit Disney Show Wizards Of Waverly Place. Now granted she does make good music like exceptional its not anything note worthy or memorable but it's decent I don't mind listening to Selena Gomez at all because I'm a fan of her & have been a fan since Wizards Of Waverly Place. I just think that no matter how many albums or movies and/or tv shows she does she always gonna be known as Alex Russo from Wizards Of Waverly Place. As for Justin Bieber he's at the point in his career where he can literally put out anything & it will do well because he's Justin Bieber. I don't think his music is impactful or note worthy it's exceptional & it's the type of music that is nostalgic. As much of a fan that I am of Justin Bieber his career just feels stagnant & unfulfilled especially in this point in his career with over a decade in music. As much as I like both Selena & Justin & their music I really do think they used their relationship to leverage their careers because I feel like their careers could've fell flat & disappeared easily but their relationship in the 2010's decade kept them in the spotlight & is a piece of historical pop culture because at that time in 2010's decade all you heard about was Jelena which I feel is why their names are always bought up together in the media , but it's interesting because I wonder if the media will still put their names together or if the media will just forget about it overall now that Bieber is married
