I believe that unless the rein has 10k health it would be quite impossible to capture a point. Reinhardt isn't simply designed in any way to deal with 1v10 situations. He cannot heal himself, his movement is not the greatest, he's close-range, but whenever he does use his firestrike he'll have to wait an eternity to get it back (comparing to the fact that the enemy team will have enough time to come back before Reinhardt can eliminate everyone.
yea something like % of speed boost or more firestrikes would help him alot more than increasing the stats to that degree. just like how aquamarine had Infinite ammo on junkrat 1v10.
Bro i don't think any character is designed for a 1v10 what you saw here is bowie being overwhelmed, count how many times he charged a wall how many times he had half his shield and just didn't use it, i get it if i were him I'd get overwhelmed too but the stopping factor is the player not the character
@@thegaminglord2190 he didnt say that charaters are designed with a 1v10 in mine, its that reinhardt isnt built for it, compared to a reaper for example
I think part of it is that Bowie plays like Rein’s shield is the same - who is tuned to a 5k health shield on Rein.
The biggest problem is that even with a huge shield, he can’t do anything but stall his death. You shield, move slowly and back up, while the enemy team can make a concave and flank you. There is zero pressure from Rein here because when he shields, he can ONLY shield. You’re safe when he has shield up so the enemy can go wild and apply even more pressure. He can stop all the damage he wants from one side, but he has an entire area behind and above him that are vulnerable.
I knew Push was going to be awful for Rein because he’ll just get flanked even more. At the end there, Bowie was on point and the enemy Bastion was on HIS high ground shooting him.
Rein’s biggest weakness is that he cannot attack when he his shielding and when he can attack, it’s 90% if the time, only in front of him. There is no way to win.

I think the only way rein could handle this is with a speed buff, kinda like how junk could only win with the infinite ammo rein needs the speed to get in closer so he can close the distance faster and not get melted as fast
I’d say also that there are quite a few dps that are the bane of Reins existence in this challenge. Specifically bastion and symmetra. It’s hard to deal with one without enabling the other. Reins shield can block all of bastions damage but the longer he shields the longer symmetra can stay full beam and reload buy shooting it. If the shield drops bastion can do upwards of 1000 dmg In turret form which doesn’t kill rein but there is still 9 people other than bastion who have to do 1500 dmg if rein is discord orbed. The speed boost would need to be very significant to allow rein to win.
@@jacobkwoka2613 it might seem like it would need to be huge however it would be similar to the ram speed buff change because allowing him to close the distance means that he can just swing on them and 2 hit everything and they wouldn't be able to escape
A good option to buff rein in 1v10 like you did with junkrat would be like increase his movespeed or reducing cd (more charge and fire strike)
Nah, Reinhardt is just so big and don't had any way to recovery/increase hp in game so it's actually hard.
Maybe if game can be edited to get a little heal for kills.
@@darioperusquia5703 reinhart barely manage to kill the opponent compared to many 1v10 because of his range issue, so the 10 player have an easier time to not get caught by rein melee atk and has to rely on his firestrike mainly. doesnt matter if the stat is 5x, 10x, 20x if you can't reach the target, he's just a sitting duck. we have seen that being big (like most tank) or no recovery isnt an issue if they can kill and chase enemy.
also, note that most hero don't have recovery so it's not a valid argument. also big target isnt neither a valid argument since being compensated with 3x more hp is more than worth compared to a standard size (we don't see a soldier with more than 1K hp btw). most succed because they can kill and reduce the firepower from the enemy. reinhart don't do that easily so he is constantly facing a (almost) full enemy force

That bronze Orisa was able to walk on him like she was the one with 5x stats, really puts in perspective how ass that machup is.

Hey jay, just so you know 5x isn’t actually max stats, it’s possible to get up to 10x using the workshop and its quite easy to do. Or you can half the stats of the bronzes however that would be a bit finicky

As a member of RUclips chat, I see this as an absolute win.
What people seem to forget is that for Reinhardt, which is a hero that deals big bursts of damage, the damage stats easily hit a plateau where everything one-shots and raising the stats doesn't do anything, so the damage boosted from 3.5x to 5x is a really minor change. At this point, only the health and shield changes matter, but against 10 bronzes, even thousands of additional HP would be meaningless and disappear in matters of seconds.
This wouldn't be the case for a Junker Queen for example, where boosting stats from 3.5x to 5x would drastically change the range at which she could one-shot. That, and the fact that she has renewable health on a 14 seconds cooldown, which Reinhardt does not.

Watching Bowie struggle when knowing he is a great tank player was rough. You can tell he was stressed by the way he was talking and the lack thereof. With how ruthless everyone has been towards him because "He isn't the tank I want." or "He is a trash t500." I'd be damned stressed too.
Yeah idk why Jay didn't try to make more specific changes to accommodate Rein's inability to function in a scenario such as this. As another comment on here pointed out, his kit is designed entirely around being in a team, the aspects of him that are considered strong are only so when used in the way they're intended.

As he said these videos aren't made to have the t500 win they are too see if they can. I know he did do it for the Junkrat and gave healing to the soldier which I thought both of those things were favoritism and wrong since he didn't do it for all the other.

This just goes to show how much Reinhardt relies on his team, way more than any other hero. Reinhardt's entire kit relies on his team, without them there is nothing he can do.

I was kinda surprised Bowie didn't get reduced firestrike CD like how Junkrat or Zen have gotten infinite ammo to help balance things a little more.
Bowie is definitely a good player, twitch chat smokin mid if they don’t know that, he had a tough time here due to a ton of reasons;
Too many angles focused on him
No self heals
Rein is naturally slow as hell
His range is limited
Rein isn’t built to solo
There’s more reasons that I can’t get off the top of my head but, and this is as someone who’s only played overwatch since last week, those were some of the more obvious reasons. I’d assume that twitch chat has played for longer than that so I’m surprised that they were so confident in saying that they could do better than the #1 Rein, like bro put in the effort to get there, I don’t see anyone else’s name as #1 Rein.
Those who talk shit about Bowie are probably hard stuck bronze's for all we know, Rein as a tank is not made to just solo enemies cause first the game is team based and not solo for a reason
I myself main Rein so I know how hard it is to actually get any value out of him with how dogshit the meta is currently
Just bringing this upp for extra perspective.
The demon king gamemode is a rein with 6k health, 360 shatter which can knock down orisa (with buff), triple fire and there are 5 nonbuffed characters and it is usually really hard to win with him then, you have to kinda hide in a corner to win which only worked on one of the maps.
Speed is probably the key, if he had 20% speed increase (or something like that), he would probably be able to win at 4x cuz he needs the speed to close the distance without getting beamed, that is also why Lucio pairs super well with rein

Speed is the only way to compliment reins crippling range deficiency. His only ranged attack being a slow moving firestrike makes it pretty much impossible to kill a properly playing phara/echo

Honestly why is he not holding the corners as rein, just stick to one corner and swing, hold up shield vs range damage, occasional fitestrikes etc
@@FantasyFantasy934 because he has no sustain. They will eventually either take him down a chip at a time as he swings or they go around the corner, such as with phara, and shoot him in the back.
Jay3 bronze players are the equivalent of gold players in a normal lobby

This is something I had been thinking to myself over the span of this series. Even in 1v5/10 scenarios, fighting against the best of the best players of each character provides experience that would logically 'cause said Bronzes to evolve into higher ranks, even if that may be up to just Silver, wouldn't it?
Rein as a character is used to move ur team forward and make sure opponents don’t get too close to ur healers so it makes sense he’s struggling. Rein is inherently a cooperative based character. It’d be hard to find usefulness in his damage output as it’s mainly a tactic used to create pressure on enemies to back up.

Rein is also probably the worst hero for this situation. If he goes after one bronze, the other nine just rotate away and poke at him, and he basically can't do shit
Yeah, rein is literally a hero design to be played as a team. His big ass shield and his low movement combined with his melee attacks makes him a tank solely to receive damage while he shields his team. Hell, even the damn lore teaches u that.
I think it'd be pretty interesting to see 2 top 500 reins vs 10 bronzes players, even it out a bit

This is what happens when you 0 mobility and 0 range. The only range would be fire-strike but that has a way too long downtime. You need to reduce the cooldown of firestrikes in order to be fair.

This shows how much more the dva health bug was more than just a visual glitch. Guaranteed when she remechs she would suddenly have 10-12k hp but it wasn't shown.

Just putting this out there, every single time Bowie dropped his shield and brought it back up the 6k hp shield health reset, so next time (if there is one) he could use that reseting to his advantage and force the bronze to have to come to him or else they will never kill him
They did come to him, they surrounded him and the shield did nothing when surrounded.
they can surround him and if he has to capture a point then he has to come anyway

His firestrike accuracy is insane. Playing against pharah, sym, orisa, sigma, bastion is fucking painful
i like seeing 2v10s more, when i was watching eskay and frogger play lucio in a 1v10 it was very fun to see the two different play styles from 2 different top 500 players, so personally id love to see a 2v10 series

there were a few faces from jay where he clearly thought bowie intentionally charged a wall, while in reality he was ppushed with abilities on the enemy team etc.

i think the issue is just that he’s using rein, he has no self heals, no way to cleanse, he’s a big target, and his shield gets broken
Think the bigger issue is lack of mobility and range. The other tanks have better range or a low-cd movement ability so they could finish kills and play health packs if they didn't have self-heals. Rein's just too clunky and slow so if he uses charge it's really easy to kite him, and fire strike is too inconsistent at range. He had no way of chasing kills so he could never teamwipe, which is necessary for these kinda challenges
His shield does not get broken whenever he drops shield and puts it back up it will be full bealth again, i think its bug

@@TheMCmace melee isn’t really that much of an issue tbh, he still has firestrike, just the cooldown is a little problem, and yeah he doesn’t have good mobility but he’s so tank so it doesn’t really matter, just in 1 v 5 it’s bad cuz no heals, 5 people are damaging you, and ur a massive target

This is a good demonstration that orisa is the second most brutal matchup for rein no matter the stats she still call walk up close range and bully the shit out of rein in this case 5x stats rein

Honestly I can’t even blame Bowie for losing when he had to play against Sym, pharah, mei and Zen the entire time. Not to mention the Orisa which was just a giant wall the whole time that stopped all his plays. Doesn’t help the few sloppy mistakes he made probably from frustration but he did have a good performance all things considered
Imagine putting the most team dependent tank in the game by himself and expecting him to do good even with boosted stats XD
This goes to show how completely orisa counters rein.
For rein have something like 1.25 speed would probably help for his movement

I know you have a series going with this, but at some point when you’re done with 1v5’s & 1v10’s…it would be interesting to watch a Top 500 team of 3 (1 tank, 1 support, 1 damage) vs a team of 6 (2/2/2) or 9 (3/3/3) of rank Gold or Plat. Amount of buff however you seem fits. Just an idea for the future!

That Bronze Orisa is extremely smart, so smart that I'd go as far as to say they are probably in ELO hell.
This shows that a character either needs range or some kind of self healing to compete in these challenges

even as good as bowie is, 1 rein versus his 7+ counters is still just a bully session for him
Its literally the lack of mobility, he can't play around health packs like any other hero, he can't just keep shield up cause eventually itll just break to spam anyway and no ones that braindead to get too close to a Rien with buffed stats, tbh reducing his cooldowns on 3x would've been alot better for him, that way he can firestrike and charge almost at will, which would force the bronze players out of position to flank otherwise they risk the one tap
Maybe if Orisa wasn't such a hard counter, requiring zero skill to do so, this would be possible. But still probably not.
