Saw this original video a while ago and it inspired me to get flatwounds on my Epi Casino. Ended up using a p90 SG with roundwounds for a reggae band though.

Try to get your hands on as many guitars as possible. There is no right or wrong, just what you think feels good. By the way, this will change as you progress so don’t get hung up on what is the right guitar. As long as the guitar is set up well (has a nice low to medium action) you’ll be fine 😊. If it helps, these days I tend to use Les Paul’s and strats.
