John-Allan Namu Accepts 2024 ICFJ Knight International Journalism Award

In his acceptance of the 2024 ICFJ Knight International Journalism Award, Kenyan reporter John-Allan Namu acknowledged the crucial support of his colleagues and family. Namu, co-founder and CEO of investigative news oulet Africa Uncensored, also noted the necessity of journalism that highlights the problems Kenya faces today. "To all those for whom my work has served as a beacon of hope, thank you for allowing me and the people I’ve worked with to be part of your journey," he said. "I will continue to do my utmost to remain credible, factual, honest, and, above all, compassionate."
