LOL this song was originally written and recorded 50 years ago! In 1973! Tony! Toni! Tone! in the 90s were not the first. This old song from 1973 was by a British singer/songwriter named Albert Hammond you can find here on RUclips. I hated it back then but this version - WOW. The 70s was a magic time for R&B with Stevie, Chaka, Marvin, Luther, Isley Brothers, E,W&F, Stylistics, etc. and Devin connects to all that.
I'm 75 years old but still just a soulful street kid from Philly. Hard to believe this is the same song from 73.
