    I think the only way he improves, is if he starts playing in a more competitive league, with better team mates. With just his corner and freekick deliveries alone, he should've had more than 15 assists this season. He's press resistant, fast for a midfielder, a great Dribbler, has excellent vision, what more could you want from a 20 year old?

    • @AIIXIII0
      @AIIXIII0 5 лет назад +29

      True. I'm amaze with his vision. He notices spaces, fast on his feet and head. He is also very creative. He mix and match every skill he had to certain situation making him unpredictable. He is also uses himself and teammates well to provide space and making spaces. If this were FM, he had mental attributes equivalent to experienced player. For a 20 year old, 9/10. He will be deadlier is he could finish (Striker level.) And better weak foot. I want to see him at bigger leagues. Not modern playmaker though, he's an 8. Old midfielder. Who can do pretty much everything except that he have flashier skills. Like Gerrard, Lampard, Vieira, can attack, can defend, can score, can dribble.

      Just a few notes: having an xG assisted of 0.35 doesn’t necessarily mean that he assists high-quality shots, it could also mean that he just assists many shorts. To get information about the quality of shots he assists, you need to divide xG assisted by key passes.
      to determine how often a player tackles you have to adjust for possession as you can only tackle when you don’t have possession (which skews the numbers in favour of players that play with teams that don’t have much possession)
      In possession adjusted tackles he does not do so well.

Yes there is the discussion and argument that he should be playing at a much more competitive league, better team and so forth... I understand those arguments but you have to understand you can't rush progress, he's become more confident in his ability as a soccer player which is far much more important as at now. Moving to a much better league is inevitable for a kid with his skill caliber. He will be fine, let him enjoy the game for now. It seems his passing is good, as is his ability to dribble, but that sometimes he holds on to the ball for one or two touches too long rather than making a move and passing or shooting. This is something incredibly common for young players who are good dribblers though. If he can work on his efficiency with receiving passes and finding an outlet, he has a bright future. He looks like and interesting mix of Modric and Isco.

If the goal is for him to develop into a rotational player at Real I dont think the play style of mid and bottom teams is ideal. A 2nd tier La Liga team would be perfect, if he can get play time there. Maybe Getafe that will also play in Europa League if it's not a problem with them also being a Madrid club.
