Random note: has anyone mentioned yet that they were in The Sandman: Dream of a Thousand Cats. David and Georgia played the family that had the Kitten. And Michael and Anna played the family from which the Siamese Cat run away (Michael was the one who drowned her kittens).
No, we had no idea! Wow.
Simon's role here is uncredited as an actor. He wrote the scripts, as well as directing. I think he's done a great job on all three fronts. Especially since you hate his character so much, haha.
Yeah, I remember David in an interview joking about how much of an ineffectual puppy they made him in the show. I mean, he's an anxiety-laden guy, but IRL he's WAAAAY more responsible than the show portrays him. He had fun with the role though. It had to be fun to take a step back from being such an extreme workaholic and make fun of himself some.
The line "heartbreaking consciousness of human potential" is from the _Guardian's_ review of Sheen in "Hamlet."
Well, Sheen didn't know it was his doorbell!
Their banter is my favorite part of the show as well, they work so well off of each other!
There was already a David McDonald in Actors Equity, so Tennant had to change his name. He picked Tennant for one of the members of the Pet Shop Boys. He has recently said that the Proclaimers' music is the soundtrack of his life (he recorded a cover for one of their songs for a charity album). Georgia Tennant is formerly Georgia Moffet; she is the daughter of Fifth Doctor Peter Davison and also played the title character in "The Doctor's Daughter" episode of _Doctor Who,_ which is when she met Tennant.
Ep3 is going to be lit af... eagerly waiting for the reaction
Stay tuned :)
Simon is to me what happens when you give a scared puppy too much responsibility ha.
Also not sure if I'm being an annoying commenter so sorry in advance if so, but there are 2 videos on youtube for this show. One is Staged Comic Relief 2021 which is about 5 mins long (can watch after series 1 or 2 really) and "Happy new year from David Tennant and Michael Sheen" (which is about 9 mins and must be seen after series 2 and before series 3). Thought id say incase you didnt know. Loving the videos guys :):)
That's a really good way to describe Simon.
I'll look those videos up and try and put them in the correct viewing order. We're still not done with Season 1 yet luckily so we still have the chance to fit them in. Thanks for the heads up!
I think the David character, having offered to make dinner, did not want to reheat something "Georgia" had made, and he was rather desperate to change it in some way.
I LOVE haggis lol, fry it and dip it in whisky sauce is the best! It actually is quite popular, you'll find it on a lot of menus and in every chip shop. Traditional to eat with neeps and tatties on 25th January to celebrate Burn's Night. Hope you are both doing well, happy to see you back on youtube now!
Thanks Banjo, also ew ;)
@@WhyOhWhyPhi Forgot to also mention that real, authentic haggis is actually banned in the US so if you've only eaten it there its not the real thing so would explain why its not very nice. A vegetarian alternative is also available which is alright
Also yeah futons suck
