- WOW. I had to cut so much out of this reaction, there was so much to say. I think in my case it was "so much to speculate".
As always, if there are suggestions to make my reactions better, please drop me a comment!

I really liked how they made Peter Strahm an actual smart character. That tracheotomy was pretty genius not gonna lie. Great actor as well.
I liked him much better in this one than I did 4. He just seemed really cocky previously, and more detective like in this one. Maybe because he’s was humbled having to trach himself! That was nuts!
Part 5 is arguably the best one because it perfectly stitches together the previous movies into a coherent franchise, and begins to solidify Jigsaw’s status as an all time great villain. This franchise is so much fun, and Jigsaw is god!
Jigsaw is a brilliant villain. Who knew I could care so much about someone so sick and twisted??!!
I'm glad you like this one too. I find it to be underrated. People claim this is a bad one. I actually like the cat and mouse chase between Strahm and Hoffman. Wish they kept Strahm alive til the next movie. Awesome reaction as always!
The ending montage for this one is by far my fave qq
John: If you're good at anticipating the human mind
Jill: I think i'm being followed
Erickson: Who would be following you
Strahm: I wanna talk to Jill tuck one last time
Hoffman: He suspected someone on the inside
Back to John: It leaves nothing to chance....
Basically Hoffman anticipated that Strahm wouldn't trust him enough to get inside the box, Showing that John really did train him well. Also you look alot like Jill qq you're so beautiful! :D
5 is becoming one of my favorites. And damn it, I like Hoffman now. I love to hate him.
Loving your reactions to this series, and your appreciation for the story. Convoluted though it is, it's genuinely clever the way they tie it all together. There's so much more to these films than the traps and gore.
I’m so glad I gave them a chance! They are amazing. Thank you for watching my stuff, it started out haphazard, but I think I’m getting better 😅
6:10 "Just pop a little hole in your neck there, buddy!"
Strahm took that advice to heart
Glad you reacted to this! Saw 6 is my personal favorite out of the other saws. Excited to see your reaction on it!
Looking forward to it 😬
@@funnylilgalreacts Your reacting to these movies fairly quickly, in just 2 weeks, you're already on the fifth one. Impressive!
Saw 5 is my third favorite Saw movie (after Saw 1 and Saw 2). I love how it connects previous past events in the last 4 movies. I absolutely love the cat and mouse chase between Peter and Mark here. Also fun fact, that closing walls trap at the end was all practical. Nothing there was CGI.
It looked so real, they do such an amazing job!
I think that’s maybe why I liked it so much is the cat and mouse aspect. The end of 4 felt like it came out of left field a little bit, this one kind of felt completed. I did really like the traps as well. Nothing was too over the top until the end. But the end is where you go big or go home!
This is definitely the payoff after seeing the previous one.
@@d3l3tes00n Agreed
@@funnylilgalreacts Agreed. 4's ending felt a little incompleted in some parts but 5's ending felt completed. You will also enjoy Saw 6 because it links up pretty well to this movie. Saw 3D on the other hand, well you'll see what I mean once you see it.
You also liked this movie? I'm not alone?! You're awesome!
We may be the only two people who liked it 😂 I was blown away that people didn’t like this one! The story flowed, the lessons at the end for both the group and Strahm, and the backstories… it was excellent!
@@funnylilgalreacts I actually watched all the Saw movies like you did! That's maybe why we like it.
I totally get having to wait for forever for a new one and then it not meeting expectations…
Saw 5 is actually one of my favorite parts of the franchise so I'm right here with you :)
@@nickyholden861 that's great! Good to know 😁
Malick was honestly my fave player in the game. his quips like "so you're boring too?" and "yeah i'm more of a shower guy" made me laugh at the wrong times lol
Hey Angela; I'm watching the entire Saw playlist right now and after hearing the comment you made just prior to the 3 minute mark and I'm so impressed that you are constantly picking up on the future storylines before they even happen. You've done it a bunch so far without realizing it and I'm only at the SAW 5 reaction. Just wanted to give that shoutout from the past....bravo. lol
Thank you for watching these movies (and liking them!). I’m loving your reactions!! You’re good with your questions! 😂
Thank you!!!! I always have such a list of questions after I edit 😂
@@funnylilgalreacts you’ll get some answers in 6, for sure! 6 is also REALLY good! 👍🏼 I asked James and Leigh a question and even they couldn’t answer it!
@@natalieh325 oh wow! I definitely will want to know what that question is after I’ve watched everything!!!
@@funnylilgalreacts 😆😉 maybe you’ll be able to work it out!! (No pressure!!! 😂)
I’ll be looking for it now! 😂
Your reaction reminds me of my Aunt. We watched every Saw movie as a kid, shes the nicest sweetest lady, she couldnt stand the gore but LOVED the detective stories and was obsessed with the series
Girl, you made me view these movies in a different way. Great job on your comments and analysis. Love it
Saw 6 , in my opinion, had one of the best twist endings in the series.
This one's ended up my favorite Saw film, and I'm glad you liked it too! What an ending too! Poor Strahm lol
I love that you’re getting into the Saw series even though you were afraid at first. Same thing happened to me. I hated horror movies but then I watched this series with my brother and I fell in love with it and other horror films. Great reaction video. I love your commentary! Can’t wait for Saw 6 reaction.
Just filmed it!!!!
I’m so shocked I feel the way I do about it. It was love at first watch.
I don't know if you know or have since seen the BTS info behind this film, its so unbelievably cool how they filmed and orchistrated the traps logistically. At the time, the Glass Box Trap was their most complex because it was raised several feet, the whole room was suspended so that there was a lower level for the box to slide into and it was a very heavy set, I think it was amongst the most logistically risky for the team to undertake.
Also, the filming they did for the Water Cube Trap with Strahm was as close to real as you could get! Scott who was the actor, was game to do it because it would have been impossible to shoot with a dummy or a stand in (they talk about it in the BTS) and had his actual head inside that box for each take, he was supposed to do a 🤷🏼♀ sort of movement UNDER his chin (perhaps to preserve any shots?) and one of the sides of the box flew open to empty it (because the neck was arguably water-tight so that was how the cube is emptied and how the actor can step into the water-tight neck seal). Instead because it was so intense he would put his hands up and wave NEXT to his head, there are some BTS shots of it actually, as well as the Pendulum and wall-mounted beheading in The Five's first room, there were some funny stories of that first victim pranking people on set with the SFX etc. It's awesome to see them all getting into the world like that.
EDIT: also in the Three Chamber/Hanging Key Trap room (The Five's second room), as often used in sets, those suspended glass jars they had to smash were made sugar-glass, so that particular set/room had to be cleared out allllll the time because the sugar glass kept drawing in ants 😂
PS. I'm making these trap names up for visual cues, but they all do have legit canon or semi-canon names.
I love how intro of Saw 5 ties up the events of Saw 3 and 4. Crazy how it was the start of Strahms game.😊
Huge Saw fanatic. Love your reactions so much! Saw V is also one of my favourites! I prefer the second trilogy as a whole compared to the first.
“The second trilogy” is the perfect way to say it! I felt the first three gave solid endings, no major cliffhangers. The second trilogy had me the most hyped at the end! I don’t know which I prefer, the crazy endings with no solid conclusion or the satisfying endings with nothing making you crave more. I seriously can’t decide!
@@funnylilgalreacts Thanks for the reply! Yeh second trilogy sounds great hey :).
Very excited because I'm about to watch your reaction to my fav saw VI! ❤️
That actor who did the whole "I cared" part, he did that really well. Good acting
Cant wait for you to see saw 6 because it’s definitely one of my favourites, the ending is probably one of my favourites in the entire series
It’s amazing to me how many people are saying they don’t like 6, but they loved 4. Or 5 is awful but 7 is amazing. It gets me excited because not everyone is saying the same thing!
@@funnylilgalreacts that’s what is so cool about the saw franchise as people have very different opinions about nearly every film in the franchise to other people
The plot twists and convoluted connections are amazing in this series. 😍
The pendulum trap was indeed inspired by Edgar Allen Poe's The Pit and The Pendulum (by the way, you should check out the recent film The Raven) so that reference was deliberate. Also, I'd recommend checking out the Scream films, which brought the whole horror/slasher genre back to life.
25:05 SPOILERS: it's safe to assume that even after all the soul bearing, in the last trap she tricked the Junkie into giving most of his blood and hand up to the trap and saved herself from harm

Don't worry, the rich kid survive and I think they were able to save his arm because it's in a cast rather than amputated off.
You have a great sense of humor, nailed it lol.
Thanks 😂
The fire that the trap victims were involved with was the same fire from the original Saw that Detective Tapp heard the alarm for on the tape.
I don't know why I'm so pleasantly surprised by this stuff.... these movies are so well constructed, I shouldn't be surprised at all
Fun fact: the reason John (and his followers) wear pig masks is because of his unborn son, who would’ve been born in the year of the pig
Thoroughly enjoyed these reactions so so much! Glad you’re enjoying these movies so much ! I’m a huge saw fanatic myself and 5 is definitely on my favourites list 😍 also love that i’m not the only one who has a “problem” with the pig mask 😄 never had a problem with the blood and everything else but the pig mask really got me the first few times i watched these movies probably also cause of the pig screams in the background! Just glad to see i’m not alone! 😁
Nice reaction and yes the ending is insane . I had to look away when the arm broke .
I was bummed in hindsight that we didn’t get a “game over” but that smirk on Hoffmans face said it all. I think it’s the first time I ended one of these with a gleeful smile on my face.
@@funnylilgalreacts definitely, it felt wrong to end it without the iconic line but it was still awesome.
A friend of mine actually met Tobin Bell (John Kramer) at a horror convention here in Germany and got me an autograph, i also have a life sized Billy puppet .
I love this franchise. Saw 2 was one of the first horror movies I've ever seen. It came on tv , my mom was at work and i heard so much about it that i was curious. I was 12 years old and damn even the version they showed on tv was enough to give me nightmares 🤣
@@sophiecooper1824 I think I’d start crying if I met Tobin Bell, like happy excited tears. I’m still amazed I sleep like a baby after I watch these, totally expected nightmares
@@funnylilgalreacts same, don't know if I'll ever meet him personally but the autgraph is pretty cool . He wrote

Omg that is so precious!!! He must be so nice!
I love saw 5
Strahm was my fav and I feel so bad for him :(
Hey!! I only just recently found your channel because of the Saw reactions (been watching a ton of other reactions to the series), just subscribed ;-]
Thank you!!!!
Julie Benz was also was in Buffy: The Vampire Slayer as Daria or Darcia. Can't remember her character name.
Yeeess that’s right!
Great reaction. Probably one of my favorite ending in the franchise next to 1,2 and 6
FunnylilGal for Saw 5: "you guys, I got you. I would make sure you survive". FunnylilGal during Saw 3: "if it's you or me, I'm saving myself". Lmao
I am amazing with group projects 😂
WOW. You seem to be hooked on SAW, ha ha. Thank you for being a fan.
In a million years I never would have thought that I’d be so gleeful to watch a series of movies!
man you are great at putting pieces together. great reaction to these movies! Personal fave is Saw 3
Looking forward to Saw 6 reaction. One of my favs! Enjoying the reactions btw!! Keep it up!
Thank you!!! I’m excited to watch it!
Home slice gonna be a home “slice” lol
Five was my fave. Love or hate Hoffman, but the final twist at the end will always be my favorite scene of this movie series.
Fun fact: Saw V was my very first Saw film. My friend somehow convinced me to watch it in theaters. I was definitely confused as fuck and I hated the gore. But because I started with the fifth movie in the series, I felt required to watch the others.
2 and 5 are my faves in the series
I loved 5. Of the later movies I always remember that part first. Interesting concept, interesting plot, cool twist, just all around a great time if you are fan of saw imo
I think it is even cooler if one understood how 4 and 3 played timewise :) Because then hoffmans plot makes more sense
Curiosity: During the filming of the water bucket trap (6:01) they had to stop several times, due to Scott Patterson (actor who plays Strahm) getting to drown for real
John/Jigsaw is probably one of the guys out there, along with Hannibal, that I'd really respect (and fanboy over) despite knowing what they've done. Hannibal can be creepy though, but John is mild mannered and kinda' chill. John is so intelligent and kinda down to earth too. He's also like a dog doing puppy eyes, irresistible! :D
It’s amazing how they can make a serial killer so likable. He is indeed a bad person, but somehow because his story is so tragic, I want him to win??? That’s so odd to me!
You are awesome. Love the reactions
Thank you!!!
people say after saw 2 that they are bad but the story is crazy love them
Yeah girl, you definitely should check Dexter out!
But finish SAW first please 🤩
I came across your channel yesterday, I watched all five of your Saw reactions and genuinely enjoyed every single minute of them. You're awesome! Please keep up doing an amazing job, can't wait to see more :)
Thank you so much! I’m enjoying this process so much! I’m definitely going to work my way through Saw, and possibly Insidious. I think James Wan and Leigh Whannell make such a great team. I want to watch all of their stuff!!!!
@@funnylilgalreacts Don't miss "Dead Silence" (2007) as well! Wan+Whannell duo plus something you might consider a special treat - Donnie Wahlberg with moustache 😆 Really good movie.
Have a great journey and keep us in the loop :)
Most of your burning questions will be answered in the next movie, that much I can confirm without spoiling. (Spoiler-FREE) If you watch the Unrated Version of the 6th movie there is a post-credits scene that is not included in the Theatrical Cut (which you have been watching, nothing wrong with that of course) that shows a little more about the girl during the third movie but it just raises more questions than answers and is never even followed through afterward. The 6th one was also the second most well-received movie to the first one and is also a favorite of mine as well. I'm so happy that you're enjoying these! After I bought the first movie and watched it years ago I ended up getting on Amazon and buying the rest of them on DVD and Blu-ray because I was THAT obsessed with them
I’m not sure why I think that unrated means it’s going to be more intense. Thank you for the heads up I’m definitely going to check out the unrated version for 6….
So. I feel DUMB avoiding these movies. They are amazing. I feel I may have spoiled myself starting with them. Another series CANNOT possible match them.
i feel like saw 5 exists mainly to explain the confusing shit from the 4th movie cause the audience was confused with added plot not from 1-3
These reactions are awesome. If you are looking for another James Wan/Leigh Whannell collaboration, Dead Silence is great. Also I appreciate how you don't go into these blind. It really adds to the pre- and post- movie parts.
They are an iconic duo! I definitely will check that out!!!!!
Yes I don't think Dead Silence gets enough respect
@@adamstewart9383 ok I’m getting hyped for it!!!
Decapitation - "At least its quick" Actually studies show that there is a chance you're still conscious up to 4 minutes afterwards depending on how quick and clean the cut is
It’s so funny seeing your fangirling for John grow over the series 😄 You are not alone, we love our moral philosophy serial killer
We’re not worthy
13:27 John Kramer was WRONG about that. He said if he or she survives my methods, then he or she is instantly rehabilitated. Cecil WASNT.. he got out of the Knife Trap, and STILL went after John, but fell into the barb wire behind him.
Tobin Bell was cast perfectly for John. 👏
16:20 the 10 minute clock was the remaining time to complete ALL tasks
14:42 it's EXACTLY the same guy, filmed five years later.
The way strahm died is my nightmare scenario of death to be honest with you
It’s torture! My claustrophobia was tingling as soon as the walls started moving!!!!
@@funnylilgalreacts it's panic psychological torture which is a horrible situation to be
Big Like for you! Now I m waiting the next movie. Saw 6 is my favorite movie of the show!
Coming soon!!!!!
9:05 I wish you included the speech because Jigsaw made it SO OBVIOUS for them to work together. 5 become 1 with a common goal seems like the biggest give away ever. However, they were too selfish to figure that out and insist it was survival of the fittest.
18:35 He was the nicest guy out of all of them. I think he was more of a victim because he was approached to do what he thought was a victimless crime. His addiction was exploited by a shady real estate lady.
Every trap is meant to be survivable, Hoffman left the pen in his pocket as his way to survive.
The pendulum touched Seth's body at 1:01, the pendulum cut his body in half in 1:20.
I love the Saw series! I'm a lover of a good story in movies... and while each of the movies alone do have a good story, I love the way all of the movies tie into each other to make it a really great story! All of the movies are great in my opinion, but I can't say if I have a favourite or not!
Friday the 13th is largely standalone. Halloween got retconned in 2018 and that serves as the direct sequel to 1978. It was almost as if everything else didn't happen. Still enjoyable.
I wonder if I can stomach them now that I’m slightly toughened up 😂 Freddy scared the crap out of me as a kid.
This film I wasnt a true fan off but i respect how they connect the dots as to how hoffmen was an accomplish to john and Amanda. Hoffmen is simply an animal that lashes out on those who have committed horse then him. But he is also wicked by the things he's done. He thinks the dead will have no voice because he inflicts the pain that he deems worthy. But he's judge in the eyes of those who teach him. The one who has suffered and has faced his judgement on what he did.
Saw V is honestly my favorite
Saw 5 is my favorite
Something not many notice is when Peter is getting squished at the end Hoffman turns his head slightly to see it all through the crack.
Dexter is pretty solid but gets worse in quality after season 4 which is an all time great season of tv. John fucking Lithgow played the villain and won every major acting award for that one season. But when the show is good it’s excellent.
5:02 Lmaooo 🤣
This movie and 6&7 enhances my love for Hoffman, for me personally he's the best successor to Jigsaw. He does whatever it takes to survive, just like John always wants for his victims, like in the 7th movie he went for the saw when he got locked in the bathroom. To me he's a more honest Jigsaw cause he doesn't lie to himself about how he's not a killer like John lol. I would 1000000% be down to watch you react Dexter, it's on Amazon if I remember right, I think you'll love it honestly.
I need to watch Dexter! Now that I'm looking at editors that may be a reality soon.
I HATED Hoffman. Hated him. Not in a "this is a shitty character" kind of way either. He was so good at getting out of trouble or foreseeing a possible threat. I hated that in the best way. After 7 and watching Spiral and Jigsaw I would have given anything to have Hoffman back. Phenomenal character.
@@funnylilgalreacts agreed, I didn't like him at first either, but he started to grow on me and I love him lol. I personally think he survived at the end of Saw 7 cause he's got that will to survive, plus the actor who played him also believes that Hoffman survived also.
there are many horrible ways to die,but getting crushed by a wall is definately something else.
You mentioned Dexter at the end. You would LOVE that show. Plus, about a week from now they're actually releasing a new season so it'd be a good time to get caught up on it. When you get to the Saw movie that just called "Jigsaw" just pretend that's the last one ever made. Spiral is pretty lame.
Noted! The only thing people seem to agree on is Spiral 😂
Dexter is in my list as well!
@@funnylilgalreacts might have known Julie Benz from the Buffy and Angel series where she was Darla.

@@funnylilgalreacts Chefs Kiss 😘 😂
Glad that you liked SAW V. people don´t like it because the story gets a little too ridicolous at this point, like john suddenly being an omega hyper big brain predicting absolutely everything.
the "new" villain being hoffman and some very questionable story decisions. still its good tho, I honestly think the only movie that its actually kind of mediocre and bad its Saw 3D for me.
Take the time you need, we will see you on saw 6 (one of my favs :o)
It didn't feel like there was passing of the torch to Hoffman, which I was happy about. Like, Hoffman isnt the new John Cramer. The intricate details John would have had to predict and nail is by far the most ridiculous. I expected the traps to be bonkers and they were still pretty tame, lol, if that can even be a thing in the Saw universe.
You need to watch Dexter! I think you'll love it if you love John Kramer
You should DEFINITELY check out Dexter...
1001 st🥳🕺
Please watch Dexter! It’s such a good show, and significantly less gory than saw 😂
20:33~22:22 omg!!!!
A kid give the idea of the coffin trap aka the ending
Pretty sure using the body from the other room to fill the jars wouldn't work. You need a beating heart to pump blood through the veins. At best, they might get a few drops out of her

You look like the wife of Saw…is kind scary😂😂
I didn’t like Saw 4. You’re awesome with these Saw reactions!
Wait a damn min, wait a min, wait a damn min. If he was supposed to die by drowning and Hoffman did place all his things under the light to show he has nothing on him to save himself with then who the hell put a pen in his pocket in the first place… I’m just 🤷🏽♂️
Hoffman probably didn't think the pen would be useful.

"That's because they're not properly rehabilitated" -> They never wanted to be. They intentionally chose criminal activity - the same way most homeless intentionally choose to be homeless. (emphasis on 'most', i.e. more than half - not implicating 'all').

What?! Part 7 is nuts! This franchise just has such great momentum all the way to the finish line.
@@nyceone43 I'm a fan of the franchise but I don't like part 7
@@nyceone43 eh, part 7 its literally a love letter and fanservice to saw. they even invite superstars from rock bands to act and all of that lol. because of that, the story stops triying to be good and interesting and goes more for a "Wow"!
