It's not that nobody wants yay; it's the timing that's bad for him. Currently, we are in the middle of a season, and in Valorant, it's been proven that chemistry and teamwork are more important than individual skill. No teams, except for C9, want to take away what they've built these past few months. That's just my opinion though.
C9 is just a dumpster org. Imagine dropping your star player AND your IGL. Rebuild around 1 of them at least.

@@Lycoriste I disagree with you because yay was signed by C9 after Chamber nerf; so, the Chamber nerf is out of the question. It's C9's ability to retain players (e.g., finance).

@@sasukebyak C9 didn't exactly drop him, his contract expired. It was only until Sao Paulo
Optic did go far because of Yay, but the same can be said vice versa. Yay’s always been cracked, but without the right support system and leadership to maximize his talents, Yay also would only have been able to get so far.
Case in point: C9. Even though the roster was very new and realistically Yay probably only got dropped due to C9’s financial issues, the difference between how Yay was enabled/supported by the Optic core + FNS’ leadership was vastly different to how C9 utilized his talents. Yay still did fine (because he’s Yay), but the difference was night and day.
Hopefully Yay will be able to find a team that can help him reach the heights he’d once reached with Optic. It’s insane that the best player in the world can be in such a position right now. C9 really screwed everyone over.
He did well becouse Jett and Champer let him frag out even given no support now you cant do that anymore if your teamplay utility us isnt good you are just dead . yay is mechanicly insane but that doesnt mean anything anymore in Valorant . Tactics teamplay is more importent then just pure mechanics . Same thing that made Tenz fall of is why yay most likely got droped the game goes in a diraction against everything yay is known for .
@@paroxysm6437 then why there is no team picking yay if he overexceeds expectations on any character. Doesn't matter if you are disciplined. If you are an expesive asset for my team and you are not that good anymore cause "you got patched" and rn you are just "somewhat" good on the rest of characters but not the best in the world why would i pay any unreasonable amount of cash as if you were the best in the world? He wants the big bag but he's not worth it. Consistency means you can be perform at same level on any character not just those that just got nerfed.
I wouldn't call buying an op every round pro, the dude even cripples his teammate's fullbuy by getting op donation
@@paroxysm6437 YaY has the same problem Tenz has a real small hero pool and coditons that dont exist anymore . You can just take all resources and frag out . YaY is mechanicly giftet and yes he know were he has to be to get most out of himself but thats not were Valorant is anymore . You know what you get with YaY and its not that he is bad in what he does its that in a team context he doesnt fit modern Valorant anymore

NRG is still looking good without yay and marved, that means FNS-crashies-victor is a great core system for someone like yay.

NRG is looking good because they had 2 great players to replace them. S0m was always good but lacked a well structured and a strong core team. Ardiis was going blow for blow with yay in 2022 and can even flex more so yea.
I know this is about yay’s situation but I am really happy for Marved!! He is finally back on a team and he really is a smokes god. Hope he bibes well with Sacy and pANcada

I could honestly see ludwig/charlie, xqc (if he did buy turtles haven't caught up) or toast signing him because they're doing it for the content. While I can't say for sure they will, right now it'll just take time because split 1 in tier 2 is ongoing and as you said all the tier 1 teams either have a star player or can't afford what yay's worth.

I'm not disagreeing with this but it is true that yay probably has the best aim in valorant, he can't really go that far without a very strong team with good supporting roles one of the major reasons that optc when so far was because optic had such a strong core and support

Though I agree with the video for the most part, I think you don't give the Optic core enough credit. The Optic core figured out how to give Yay the best opportunity to succeed. Now it was also on Yay to take that opportunity and make the most of it. I can confidently say we will not see Yay reach those heights again unless he is back with the Optic core (current NRG). Now I can be proven wrong, and I fully accept and encourage the internet to shit on my opinion.
That being said, I also question how good Ardiis can be on NRG. Don't get me wrong, Ardiis is a top-notch player, but I don't know if he can have the same success as Yay did. Regardless, I'm of the opinion that since the Optic core knows how to set up someone to succeed, they will get more out of Ardiis than any team will get out of Yay. Most teams are going to expect Yay to carry while providing half the support the Optic core did. Then there's also the meta change with Chamber out, and this also impacts Yay's value.
It’s going to be really interesting in a year to see how many bigger name players are still on rosters vs just streaming full time. It doesn’t look like E-sports really has the money in any game for players to get fat bags.

I think more than anything, what made him so good is he had so many chances to prove that he was... because of the team he was on, FNS and Marved knew how to take advantage of Yay's skills and gave him the most opportunities to show off and perform. But anyone but that team would have more trouble setting him up.

The indian and Japanese tournaments they looked like they had strats while still having fun. For Pearl against C9 PRX was just hitting W key and running down site without proper executes.

Ngl i wasn’t surprise that yay got dropped from cloud9. The org has been doing this whole thing where they sign a player and then instantly drop them around the 3-4 months for random reasons
Yay’s value is like a curse, as right now, his buyout is too high. That being said, all franchise teams are already entire with months of experience with each other. I don’t think any would change that (besides C9). I also agree that, yay, going to a nonfranchise team is also wrong, as he would look like he’s smurfing the entire lobby + possibly buyout issues. I hope yay figures out what he wants to do, and we will always support him. C9 = L management
nope, Yay doesn't have a buyout. If your talking contract, then yes.
He has no buyout though and when negotiating a contract it's yays fault if he doesn't accept a lower deal and still wants to play. Ultimately it's not his price but the fact nobody wants to change teams yet. He will come back in tier 1 na probably in a few months though

Nerfing chamber meant that yay was nerfed and it showed in his matches on cloud 9 he played chamber almost every game that doesn't mean he is bad now but the competition has gotten Soo much higher now so he needs to step his game up because his old teammates arnt there to cover his weaknesses anymore
every match yay has played with c9 with the exception of the groups of redbull home ground he was highest rated for ADR or KDA, I think he’s fine. At the end of the day C9 just fucked him over because of money
Terrible take. He’s usually the one with the highest ads and it’s been consistent. He’s not thriving because he doesn’t have that team chemistry. The same thing could be said for Tenz before he went to the Sentinels.
Stats and in game mistakes are two whole different things u would expect ur duelist to have the highest stats
