I also have myself an ED on purpose. I never got a diagnosis but I started starving myself when I was 12 . I honestly don’t regret any of it, because it got me the body I wanted. Then once I did, I stopped. I think the worst restriction/counting calories was in college. Got into proAna/thinspo on Tumblr. I was eating 200 or less calories a day, working out daily. My perfectionism turned it into a game of “how low can you go”. I remember my lowest non-zero day was 72. The longest I went without eating was 2 weeks. I just drank water and zero calorie drinks. I stopped feeling hunger but I started eating again because I was constantly feeling like I was falling over and was unable to workout or keep my balance on my bike. I’ve since put on a lot of muscle and become quite strong. But I believe all that laid the groundwork (thin frame to put muscle on)
Social situations with food are full of land mines completely unrelated to disordered eating, too… looking forward to it! 😅 you guys are crushing this. 🫶🏻
