I was looking up how to bake sweet potatoes in an air fryer and saw this for air fried potato chips. I like your clear recipe and now I’m about to make some. Thank you. ❤👍
Sweet potatoes are an excellent way to help a potassium deficiency. However, this cannot be discovered in a blood test, so Google potassium deficiency to examine the symptoms. I had every single one. Who knew😮
Hello from Greece, love your channel! About olive oil.. makes frying veggies more soggy, best vegetable oil is corn oil for crispy results. Corn oil not only for frying but I use it to make dough sheets for our traditional pies, spinach cheese pies, all kind of pies, makes crispy and tasty the pies.
Saw one video. The presenter , after he let the chips soak in really cold water. Then he boiled the chips for 3 minutes. Then he fried them. They looked like what you would buy from a retail store. They kept a more yellow look. You may want to do a batch like that.
That looks delicious! After you soak the sliced potatoes did it take awhile to dry them before you fry them? And how much of a potato can you air fry at one time? Just enough to cover the bottom of the pot? I love your cat!
mary-lynn granieri yes but if you’re impatient you can use the dehydrate feature on the air fryer. The amount depends on the size of the potato. I would recommend no more than two layers of chips on the crisping plate.
You should be able to find the cooking spray at any local grocery store. There are many companies that make them. Anything labeled “cooking spray” will work.
I never have but it is doable. Most likely won’t come out as crispy. I would also try using the dehydration feature for about 20 minutes before cooking to remove as much moisture as possible

@@thecommuter5553 Your Welcome!
Have you tried avocado oil spray?
Yes! Highly recommend. It has a higher smoking point.

With your soak method... did you still spray with oil and season like the previous method?
Thank you for the tip.
Yes, I did spray those with oil.
Thank you 🙏🏽

How thin were the sliced potatos? 1.5cm?
Yes, about 1.5cm. I would say try to make them no thinner than a dime and no thicker than a nickel.
Best way to store them after? ...
Guessing like any other chips..?
Any air-tight sealed bag or container will do. They usually get eaten pretty quickly around here.
Cute cat lol
We're do I buy the spray & the nme of it

Curious what happens when air fried with no added oil?
It still works but the final product isn’t as uniformly crisp
Can you try Air frying them without spray or oil, just plain..
??????

Who here doesn't have a mandolin yet lmao
Soaked them for how long??? I’ll wait
Look in the recipe above. It says to soak for 30 minutes. Cheers!
May I know how long you soaked the sweet potatoes?
Great question! I soaked the chips for approximately 20 minutes. I would recommend 15-30 minutes.
Maybe I do need an air fryer. What are you trying next ?
Kenneth Granieri beet chips!
💜
Seems like a lot of time and energy just to make a small bag of chips.
Use a brush with olive oil
And reapply light brushes with each shake
Adobo, not adobe
