@@VynceMontgomery i think it's Jae Soto calling Adam to postpone the recording of the "Hello" reharmonization video, which might be why she sings "hello" at the part describing how low her vocal chords are. Timeline makes sense too cause they were playing the song live in July 2018 and the video was filmed Feb 2019, hence "after Christmas."
She also features on this album at a different spot and has worked with Adam on videos going back many years.
Sorry, good musician but absolutely no musicality.

I love the microtonal solo. Everyone seems to want to use microtonality In a clever way but playing it like that really makes full use of the it’s unnatural sound. So cool!

i love the use of a natural sounding conversation with a hint at the sickness going around combined with a meme word making it feel very related to now and engaging you in the song, which btw, is great

The way you drag the hats in the first half is SO subtle. It's like the beat never quite locks in and rests, so slightly off-kilter, and it's so satisfying when it finally locks into the 6/8 in the second half.

I feel people try to use microtonal stuff in a way that makes sense to us but usually ends up in a weird uncanny valley sort of place but here they just embraced the jankness of microtones i love it lmao.

The emotional rollercoaster I went on when I heard this song for the first time was wild.
"Oh a song called THICC, this'll be funny... oh no, they're starting off with a serious sentimental voicemail intro and... never mind. THICC!"
Little by little Adam becomes a bass player with the same energy as Les Claypool on stage and that's great!

While going through the album, I wasn't really paying attention to the titles, but I had to see what the song was called- "thicc" gave me a good laugh! I instantly knew this was going to be a banger. Loved the whole album, amazing work guys!

In case you were being serious, I was just joking because of the whole Jazz chords are dense and full of extensions making them "thicc". That and it's very often that when Jazz theory comes up things almost always go straight to harmony or, more specifically, chords, so we lose sight of everything else (like perceiving "chords" rather than "cords").
1:55 though jared has the disadvantage of his stank being limited by his mouthpiece, he seems to be faring just as well as our reigning champion Adam in this stank-face-off

This project is a poor taste of artistry. You’re building a troll song on top of someone’s weak moment and enjoying it. Considering this is a vocalist with their primary instrument injured, how is this sensitive and respectful to another musician? why won’t you use a recording of your own voice instead.
