If you dump a little more toward the rear and then a little more toward the front, you wouldn't have to scrape off so much after the second dump. Then your load would be more evenly spread in the trailer. Drove me nuts!!
I watch these machines at work, and in the mining industry cannot even imagine what the dust does to bushings, pins etc. Not to mention the internal engine components! I'm glad for state of the art cabs!! I remember well the years I personally spent operation machinery, before cabs entered the work scene. SO thankful these workers are safe from many of the elements. Tho the dirt and dust from the overburden are major concerns, the real threat I think comes from the coal itself, and the abrasives along with it. Just notice how the coal's abrasives polish the buckets to an almost mirror finish.
The garbage carrying vehicles in India should have this type of bellows covering. It will help the garbage from flying out and fall on the cars behind it.
