The driver at time stamp 26:1827:30 almost got it right. 1. Back the truck into the desired Position 2. Tilt the Box to an angle of about a 5/12 pitch 3. Backup the * the Truck to a distance of about half it's rear wheel diameter (16 - 24 inches) 4. Finish dumping the Rest of the Load as Required. Doing it this way you will be creating a sloped barrier that will funnel the load away from & should completely empty the truck.
Those trucks are oilwell service related. The periscopes are see what is happening up on the workover or drilling rigs. The wirelines send information to the logging equipment.
